Dragon King Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 Awsome. :oo I am defently buying the ship and the fortress. *viki* Quote
KimT Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 Hey, does anyone know what the chain on the Catapult is for and what the Fortress's dimensions are?BTW There are 360 spins on S@H for the fortress and Ship. Check 'em out! I think the cahain was meant for the catapult to look like a ballista / ballistae. It's a huge crossbow that fires spear sized bolts - a weapon the vikings never used as the catapult *wacko* They did use spears though, short swords, long knifes and short axes. Not exactly what LEGO put in the theme :| But hey neither did they have helmets with cow-horns :oD . I must say that my favourites are Nidhugg, Fenrir and Fafnir. Unfortunately I still haven't gotten around to buying the castle so thanks for the review... Just look at that dragon and wolf *wub* *wub* *wub* KimT *viki* Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 I agree, the dragons are best. I just hate the Wyvern Dragon though, that thing is ugly. Other then that, all monsters look awesome :-D Unfortunately, when I was breaking my Viking Fortress down, a brick belonging to the Fafnir Dragon broke, so now I need to order a new one of Bricklink if I want to build it again :( Damn you, Bionicle bricks! prateek Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 I think he means babies as in human babies. In which case I will quickly explain the "birds and the bees."1. A bird must fly around and eat a lot. 2. A bee must go and drink nectar from a flower. 3. The bird must :$ relieve itself :$ near the bee as to make the bee nervous. 4. The nervous bee will start to shake releasing the little stickies that stuck to him when he drank the nectar. 5. The stickies fall down onto the grass and cause a reaction which makes the grass belch up spores. 6. These spores make people feel sick and get scratchy, they also make babies start grow in their mommies tummy. 7. After the sickness and scratching goes away and the baby grow into something near the size of a soccer ball the mommy has it taken out of her belly. :) And that my friends is the birds and the bees! ;) Oh yeah, great review, I am really excited for these. :oD dont remind me :-| Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted April 5, 2006 Governor Posted April 5, 2006 Oh no! An old thread has been bumped and no new useful information has been provided! Threads like these are in danger of closure unless posts with brilliant new information is contributed in order to justify keeping them open. The previous response was not one such post! Quote
KimT Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 [still thinking about what Phes ment with the previous post] I've just bought the 7019 Viking Fortress (in Windsor X-D ) and these are my thoughts on it: 3 Catapults - maybe that's overdoing it :-X Also I'm not sure the Vikings were that much into catapults - but they do add some playability to the set. The "prison" or cage is an acceptable feature, though the baby dragon is crappy and reminds me more of a guarddog... ;-) What I do love is the "hinging" of the different fortress parts *wub* This allows one to construct more parts and add them for a fortress immense. Also I hope it's a sign of more sets with "hingeability" like the good old castle sets - Viking Blacksmith, Viking Stables and so forth. The set has a huge amount of bricks that can be used for one's own Viking MOC ideas and all in all I say that this is a must have. Viking On! KimT Quote
WhiteFang Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 These are amazing reviews, bro ;) 10/10 mrx_tnn, This is a very old discussion semi-review dated more than a decade ago. I understand your excitement towards LEGO Viking Theme. However, there is little value in your revival post and it does not add significant insight or content to it. Thus, I urge you to refrain from doing it again. Thank you. WhiteFang Quote
