Not a win, but hopefully Lego will see how well trains did, for something that "not enough people are intrested in" (idk the exact quote but some Jamie Berard interview. Combined with the fact that the Crocodile Locomotive is often out of stock hopefully they'll see the train fans are still alive

Can definitely agree on this one.  10277 is nearly always on backorder or out of stock, at least in the UK, and is also imho one of the best sets for display produced in all of 2020.  Hopefully the popularity of trains will shine through finally.

I personally feel like we've gotten a LOT of Classic Space material lately (thanks to Benny). And we JUST had Barracuda Bay. So my opinion is that we've already had "anniversary" sets for those themes. I also feel that Bionicle is far too recent to be a "classic", despite it's cult following, but I won't fight it. I also feel Model Team has essentially been rebooted as a theme with the recent Technic/Creator Expert.
I personally feel Adventurers is the most worthy of an "anniversary" set. But the votes have spoken, my opinion should have no sway or hold on the masses.

Adventurers did get a nod with the new haunted house. Not quite the same as an actual set in the theme, but at least it is something. After being told for way too many years that there would be no more AFOL train sets I'm thrilled that they released the crocodile and hope more sets in that theme are released (one set a year would be amazing). Hopefully the numbers for trains are high enough to keep the theme going. I could see them doing trains throwback anyway with a completely revised TEE locomotive in red and tan, but since the crocodile was a Euro electric I would think there would be other models first.

I know it's a bit off topic, and I know I've mentioned this before in other threads, but the Expert sets in the 10000 series with numbers announced so far this year are 10278, 80, 81, and 95.  If all were to be released this year, that's 18, of which 4 have been announced + 2 rumoured.  That's still 12 others - one could easily be a train!

I've honestly not had a huge amount of disappointment from this vote because I never expected trains to be in the top 3.  It's annoyingly popular but niche at the same time....

The contest results were interesting. Trains did get a good showing.  If it had won definitely believe we would have gotten a redesigned Metro Liner.

I totally do not get the whole Bionicle theme....I hope it does not win as do not believe it would sell well.  Can't see someone's grandparents going to the Lego Store and picking a Bionicle set for their grandkids when a big Pirate Ship or Disney themed sets is next to it.  This is a fun contest, would like to see high number of sales TLG receives from it so they do it again!

Too bad Lego didn't planned a special 90th anniversary series with 1 sets of each 5/6 most popular classic themes. Everyone would be happy.

That would be awsome....but very expensive!  I would want them all....well not Bionicle.
