CastleLord Posted January 26, 2021 Posted January 26, 2021 Hello there. After working on this MOC and taking it to shows over the last six or so years I figured I might as well post it online to get some comments, feedback and critiques. While it is massive in size it is almost entirely modular and made to be moved to shows and other events I'm interested in. The size of the model I'm not entirely sure of really as I completely forgot to measure it before I packed it down again. If my quick maths are correct it should, with the yet to be finished 48x48 piece added in come out to about 176x176 studs. In terms of brick count I truly have no idea, I've spent every single LUGBULK purchase of mine from 2015 up to 2021 on this thing along with random BL purchases when I've run out of bricks, so all bets are off there. I've also included a picture at the bottom that shows what the MOC looked like at its first event in 2016 to show the development over time. 1 Cover image by J. Alexandrina Posted January 26, 2021 Posted January 26, 2021 That looks fantastic, and you can definitely see the progress you've made in the last five years. I'm especially sold on the palisade fence - I've been struggling with similar designs myself, trying to get it to look right, and I would never have thought to top it with cones. That's a technique I'll be filing under "stolen from smarter people than myself". Quote
Man with beard Posted January 26, 2021 Posted January 26, 2021 This is a wonderful creation CastleLord! I find it very immersive to look at. The farms near the fortress remind me of similar scenes depicted in the Trés Riches Heures. I also appreciate the classic Lego aesthetic with the studded topography and the classic flowers. Quote
JintaiZ Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 Great build! The trees look very impressive. Quote
zoth33 Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 This is very nice. The landscaping has a nice cohesive feel throughout the build. I like your color choices for the buildings and the different color roofs make each building stand out. I also like that you have different size trees. The whole build has some nice interactions with figs going on. Well done. Quote
sonofasubmariner Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 The greenery is really nice. Its really difficult to make it look organic but not messy. Quote
