marvelBoy123 Posted January 30, 2021 Posted January 30, 2021 (edited) *Your entry has earned 18 XP* Trigalis was a once prosperous and beatiful world with riches and goods sailing between its ports. It had then succumbed to criminal gangs and while it appeared to be steadily improving again, the Triumvirate's interest there was rooted in its past. Many of its cargo ships had sunk and so on the ocean floors there was great hordes of treasure - commodities that were now scarce and highly valuable. After scouting out the area of one of the smaller shipwrecks, one of the Triumvirate's newest submarines was sent in : the KE-UY37. Just a quick build to try out some techniques for the submarine and landscape and wreckage. I like the aquatic designs in star wars but they have been particularly expanded on so I want to make another underwater scene in the future. Unfortunately the photography didn't come out as well as I wanted on this one - it was a pain trying to have a heavy object 'floating' without photoshop. Edited February 7, 2021 by goatman461 Quote
Darth Bjorn Posted January 31, 2021 Posted January 31, 2021 Super interesting to see more underwater builds. That sub fits right into the universe. Also I’m really curious to see how that wreck looked when it wasn’t a wreck... ;) Great entry Quote
MKJoshA Posted February 4, 2021 Posted February 4, 2021 Love that submersible! Also, Blacktron is in Star Wars !?! A nice sea bed and good use of color. But the wreck seems too wooden-boat-like to me. Quote
dvogon Posted February 4, 2021 Posted February 4, 2021 Nice usage of that Antman/Wasp cockpit. I like a lot the subaquatic colors and specially the rounded rocks. Well done! Quote

The wreck was intended to be a wooden boat from a long time ago - I did a lot of research on wookiepedia and given how few cannon boats there are I looked at legends - there are a few mentions of wooden boats. https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Boat/Legends I agree that wood maybe isn't as star wars a material as metal but the ewoks did use it so I guess it could have been used on ancient trigalis. 8 hours ago, dvogon said: Nice usage of that Antman/Wasp cockpit. Thanks, after I saw how well the antman and the wasp cockpit fitted together, I built the submarine around a modified version of it.
