This video shows the design and demonstration of an 8 speed manual gearbox inspired by the Lego Ferrari 488 GTE model that has come out in 2021. The gearbox gearing ratios closely approximate the gearing ratios of the real Ferrari 488 GTE gearbox except that I have implemented it as a manual 8 speed gearbox instead of an automatic gearbox. Hope you like it.

Excellent job on the gearbox! I love it how you explain everything in the video so people get aware it´s all about rationality, no magic behind it and yet so fascinating :excited:.

Though it has nothing to do with a real Ferrari 488 GTE transmission which is of a sequential paddle shift kind. Second, it will nowhere fit the actual Lego set 42125 you are referring to.

I also like the explaining bit. But I dont get  the point of this gearbox. It is way too big even for 1:8 cars. You cannot build a gearbox without considering the size constraints of the Model.

Imo manual gearboxes with more that 2 gear rings should not be placed in the center tunnel, they take up too much interior space. They require some kind of linkage system from the gear lever to the gearbox.

Great work as always.  Just remove a couple of parts and that should fit perfectly...
