Simulterious Posted January 31, 2021 Posted January 31, 2021 (edited) *Your entry has earned 22 XP* “This is the sector Sir.” They found their target, or what was left of it. Before the fall, the Empire kept a small garrison of forces on Umbara. Soon after Endor, they were overwhelmed by native forces, destroyed, or captured. Reports surfaced of a single walker that evaded the Umbarans long enough to crash somewhere on the north side of the planet. Access codes stored in it will prove crucial for the occupation of the planet… Just off the side of the road, it laid in the mess of fungi, vines and dirt. The head seemed mostly intact. Its legs were broken, stuck and half buried in the ground. “Coda! Start the extraction procedure!” ”Affirmative.” Thank the maker we are wearing helmets, thought Feroce. Umbara’s air was already difficult to breath, and the use of various bioweapons in the Civil war did not help the matter. The air was thick with strange vapor and the smell of rot. If Neimor was uncomfortable, he did not show it. "Looks like my source payed off" The newly promoted commodore Neimor glanced at the metal beast. "Today is a good day..." __BEHIND THE SCENES__ Spoiler Not bad for a one day build, eh? Well, I couldn't exactly call it a one day build, I had most of the parts sorted for it from my previous takes on Umbara. Still, I think it turned out pretty good. The at-st is my design, not quite figure scale but pretty close. I would like to thank Darth Bjorn for his helpful advice on photography, it really elevated this build to the next level. I do have some other news to share. This is last build in TT, as I am leaving for Clan Eldar. You will learn all about that soon enough, I hope. Arkum Elo will continue Bravura squad's story, taking them to new missions across the galaxy. I'm leaving you with a couple extra shots of the build... Edited February 7, 2021 by goatman461 Quote
marvelBoy123 Posted February 1, 2021 Posted February 1, 2021 A really nice variation of vegetation and the dark blue works nicely. I'm not totally sold on the death troopers in the scene - in the kinda overview shot they almost blend in too much to have an impact but they look almost camouflaged in the close-ups which is cool - maybe one of the red or white pauldrons would have looked better from a composition perspective? Darth Bjorn Posted February 1, 2021 Posted February 1, 2021 Way to end on a high note! Thank you for your priceless support of the Imperial Triumvirate - may you bring order and justice to the Mandalorians... Quote

From the start, I did want them to blend into the scenery (camuflage and the obvious cool factor). I did end up working against me somewhat because you can't really see them. Quote
Professor Thaum Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 The wreckage is cool, but I'm much more impressed by all around it. Nice figs (I love those death troopers and their stuff ) and especially this alien vegetation Quote
Bociephus Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 Love the idea that a single walker managed to evade local security forces. It's the worst scenario in Empire at War when you can't find the one lone enemy unit on the map Lol. Great build! Quote
MKJoshA Posted February 4, 2021 Posted February 4, 2021 Your Umbaran plant-life is perfect! Great use of Bionicle parts in the back. And I personally love your use of Death Troopers. Seems like a lot of us did this LTC. Quote
dvogon Posted February 4, 2021 Posted February 4, 2021 The terrain is very well executed for this world. I miss a bit of contrast like in old-school movies to see the minifigs better in the dark. Quote
Ross Fisher Posted February 5, 2021 Posted February 5, 2021 I cannot believe this is a one-day build. It's insane. A lot of nice details. Good work! Quote
