Well you see, Darth Malak is cool. Mara Jade is not. This has been my 100% unbiased factual fact of the day.

I will not tolerate Mara Jade slander:

Mara Jade was the emperor's hand- a badass spy and force-user

She genuinely believed in the emperor and empire, since he manipulated her and mainly sent her after corrupt imperials- much cooler and more complex than "haha im so evil"

She worked with the Hand of Judgement, a special squad of stormtroopers who left the empire officially due to it's corruption and helped struggling people deal with corrupt local governments- based special stormtrooper group

After Palpatine was killed (manipulating what she felt to make her hate Luke, by the way) she deserted the empire, since without palpatine manipulating her she saw what it really was, and worked for a smuggler group -cool smuggler

She was one of the few people in early legends to kill a dark jedi - power the likes of Luke and Yoda

TLDR Mara Jade is awesome

The Revan minifig, as @CF Mitch points out :classic: It's not much, but something!

If we want to get REALLY pedantic, Mara Jade's shown up in a billion things, including the mobile game SWGOH in the disney era, a game that's received a fair amount of merchandise, including Pops and this year a vintage collection figure pack. I mean, she was technically retconned into ROTJ back in legends, so we can use that too.

Would that basically be the old-EU version of the Bad Batch?

Sort of? These guys were conscripts active right after ANH. A couple accidentally panic-kill an extremely aggressive ISB officer and the 5 of them flee in a freighter that turned out to be a kitted-out ISB stealth ship. (I actually made the ship, shown below:

Suwantek%20Freighter1.png

They then waffle around for a bit, trying to figure out what to do, before deciding to just go around helping people deal with corrupt local governments and bandits- what they think the empire should have done. After Mara finds them she doesn't turn them in, but basically has it so they have to help her out on missions- which happen to be along the same lines as theirs anyway, so works out well. In the end, they

Spoiler

Work for the Hand of Thrawn/Fel Empire/whatever you call it

But in terms of who they are, it's kind of the opposite of the Bad Batch. They do have some dedicated roles (LaRone is the leader, Macross is intel, Graves is sniping, Brightwater is the scout trooper, Quiller is the pilot), but none of them fall into role stereotypes like the BB do. They all act like normal guys.

Gotta say I'm not at all bothered about Mara Jade. That said, she's probably the most well-known Legends character after Revan, so she would be a good choice for one of these figs, although given we're getting Malak if be surprised if we got two Legends characters.

What I would like to see is characters from concept art. Luke Starkiller got a minifig in TSS, would be awesome to see that translated to real life.

While I don‘t hate the idea, and we did get minifigs based on concept art before (Boba Fett), I’d prefer to see actual missing canon characters get the minifig treatment first :snicker:

I want to say Kyle Katarn is more well known, but that depends on what media most people follow - the books or the games. Doesn't really matter, either (or both!) would be excellent.

a battlepack with some damn normal grey jetpacks in it.

That's it, that's the wishlist.

While I wish they'd give us a star wars version of those lego xtras packs, I've got a couple ways to get damn normal grey jetpacks:

104th Wolfpack Battalion battle pack: 3x wolfpack trooper (grey jetpack), P2 Commander Wolffe (grey jetpack). Build is a CIS crab droid

Mandalorian warriors battle pack: 1x male Loyalist, 1x male Mauldaloiran, 1x Nite Owl, 1x female Mauldalorian. Build is something like this:

Spoiler

battlepackmando.jpg

Except they all have gray jetpacks. Ignore the stud shooters, I made that back in 2020 when they were still in battle packs.

I'm procrastinating on the acclamator right now (922 pieces placed, probably around 700 to go), so here's a draft of an alternate anniversary wave for LSW's 25 anniversary:

Battle Packs:

Rebel Scout Trooper battle pack ($24.99): Rebel combat speeder with 4x rebel fleet trooper and a Rebel Friend anniversary figure.

Clone Troopers battle pack ($24.99): 2x p2 shinies, 1x shock trooper, and 1x 327th star corps trooper with a BARC speeder and small mortar bunker. Comes with a Captain Fordo anniversary figure

System sets:

Vulture Droid ($19.99): Vulture droid (Trade Federation colors) with 2x battle droid and a Cal Kestis (Survivor) anniversary figure.

Naboo Starfighter ($39.99): Naboo Starfighter with Child Anakin, R2-D2, 2x battle droid, and a Jedi Knight Revan anniversary figure.

TIE Interceptor ($59.99): TIE interceptor with TIE pilot, 2x Imperial Navy Trooper, Admiral Piett, and a Mara Jade anniversary figure.

TIE Advanced vs Y-wing ($119.99): Y-wing and TIE Advanced with Darth Vader, a TIE Pilot, Dutch Vander, Gold Three, a rebel astromech, and a Kyle Katarn anniversary figure.

The Millennium Falcon ($159.99): ESB Millennium falcon with black jacket Han Solo, white jumpsuit Princess Leia, C-3PO, Chewbacca, Vader, 2x Snowtrooper, and a holiday special boba fett anniversary figure.

Midi-Scale ships:

Sith Leviathan ($79.99): Sith Leviathan with Darth Revan anniversary figure.

Imperial Star Destroyer ($79.99): ISD with Thrawn (based on legends thrawn trilogy) anniversary figure.

UCS: UCS Tantive IV ($399.99): Tantive IV with interior for all scenes of it in ANH. Comes with Princess Leia, R2-D2, Darth Vader, 2x Stormtrooper, 2x Rebel Fleet Trooper, Captain Antilles, C-3PO, and a George Lucas anniversary figure. The back of the box shows Lucas filming the opening scene of Star Wars in the main hallway.

Anniversary fig list: Rebel Friend (Lego Star Wars games), Captain Fordo (Clone Wars 2003), Cal Kestis (Jedi Survivor), Jedi Knight Revan (Galaxy of Heroes), Mara Jade (countless legends novels, Galaxy of Heroes), Kyle Katarn (the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight games), Holiday Special Boba Fett (The Holiday Special), Darth Revan (KOTOR), Thrawn (Legends Thrawn Trilogy), George Lucas (Reality)

I wonder when Sequel Trilogy sets will return, if ever.

Think there’s some solid choices. Personally, I didn’t like the ST at all, but I can appreciate the aesthetic.

Rise of Skywalker barely got any sets during its release, but there’s some good choices…one day.

I will start with The Force Awakens - I have tried to get a balance of old and new. There are 7 in total. These sets would be in line with the current tendency to release downscaled ships. Personally, this would work well for the Sequels as this will be refreshing and also more affordable for a trilogy less successful. Plus those children who watched this will be growing up.

Niima Outpost Attack £34.99 (Slightly smaller Rey’s Speeder, Outpost Entrance, Market stand):

Minifigures: Rey, Finn, BB-8, Constable Zuvio, First Order StormTrooper

Reason: Out of all the other sets in my list, Jakku has been neglected. This is partly because there are limited options, but also because Lego covered this part of the movie pretty well. Niima Outpost has always been a cause of intrigue and with a smaller Rey’s speeder and some Niima architecture it would look really nice. Zuvio is a little treat!

First Order StormTrooper Helmet & Kylo Ren Helmet (£64.99 & £69.99)

Reason: Although the helmet line seems to have been stopped as we move into 2024, I think it would be a big shame and a mistake if it’s stopped altogether. Assuming it’s a temporary relaxation, these two helmets are perfect for Sequel coverage. I did debate whether to wait for TROS for a Kylo helmet given it’s striking red stitchings, but the classic helmet is, I think, more flexible. If the helmet line was around when the Sequels first came out, I’d have no doubt we’d have seen both. I think they’d sell excellently!

Resistance Troop Transport £69.99:

Minifigures: General Leia Organa, Chewbacca, Resistance Pilot, Resistance Soldier (x2), First Order Heavy StormTrooper, First Order StormTrooper

Reason: First off, I think given it’s little screen time, I am a little surprised it got released. With that being said, Lego’s rendition is good. What’s missing is the accurate blue livery seen in the movie. Moreover, the resistance troopers could have been a little more accurate to what we see in the movie. Finally, in line with the other sets, this will be slightly downscaled with extra detail inside.

Resistance X-Wing Fighter Vs First Order Tie Fighter £79.99:

Minifigures: Resistance Pilot ‘Nien Nunb’, RP-GO, First Order Tie Pilot, First Order Ground Crew

Reason: Following Lego’s choice to release large double pack style sets, this offers a fantastic way to get to core ships from the two main factions. The set is cheaper because each set will be scaled down alike the Rebel X-Wing and Imperial Tie released in 2021 and only retiring later this year. Finally, give us Nien Nunb…but any new Pilot could be included, in theory.

Maz Kanata’s Castle £89.99:

Minifigures: Maz Kanata, Han Solo, Rey, Finn, BB-8, Sidon Ithano, Bazine Netal, ME-8D9 (and a brickbuilt HURID-327)

Reason: Out of all the sets released back in 2015-2017, I felt the castle was really poorly represented. Admittedly, it’s a difficult balance given the scale, but there’s no reason why Lego could do a good enough job given its Cantina experience. Of course, the entrance with the various flags and walls would need to be included, alongside various seats and chairs and a small bar. It would also have a small area where Rey follows the lightsaber calling. In terms of figures, I’ve tried to have a good mix…the Resistance Spy droid GA-97 would be hard to make into Lego I feel, so I’ve included ME-8D9. In an ideal world, Grummgar would be included, but that’s unrealistic…

Finally, it could go well with the Resistance Transport.

Star Destroyer Finalizer £149.99:

Minifigures: Kylo Ren, General Hux, Captain Phasma, Petty Officer Thanisson, Poe Dameron, FN-2187 (Finn), First Order StormTrooper (and brickbuilt IT-000 Interrogator Droid)

Reason: This would serve as the flagship set. The design of the Finalizer is a masterpiece, and although similar to Lego’s First Order Star Destroyer released in for TLJ, there’s more than enough differences. The Finalizer also appears in other movies and therefore makes sense. Moreover, this set allows us to get all the main villains alongside some new/rare heroes versions. The set would have loads of features including a bridge and an interrogation chair. We could get some microscale Tie Fighter’s, too. Given the other resistance ships released in this wave, this would go up against them really well which is always great fun for children and adults alike.

I hope you enjoyed and please feel free to offer your own thoughts and waves. I chose helmets over Mid-scale ships here because it was more convenient but as you will see with my other waves mid-scale ships do appear.

I’ll post TLJ soon!

Seems like TFA has no love! Nevertheless, here is TLJ.

For this wave, I have tried to make the sets flexible so that figures and vehicles can interact with others explicitly. At the forefront of this is the intentional decision to hypothesis a Resistance Hanger. Other ships can be docked in the hanger, not just the two A-Wings as you will see. Another, C’ai Threnalli can is also seen in a ski-Speeder. Finally, I have tried to keep this wave cheap because it’s the least favourite of the three. Canto Bight has been ignored entirely because it’s quite possibly the worst act of Star Wars ever. Here goes!

Duel on Crait Diorama £34.99

Minifigures: Luke Skywalker, Kylo Ren

Quote: “See you around kid”,

Reason: Considering diorama’s have seemingly replaced the more traditional duel sets (thinking of Duel on Mustafar, Starkiller Base, Mandalore etc), releasing this set as a diorama makes sense. However, the terrain and backdrop does not translate all too well into Lego and therefore a small diorama would be most suitable. Here we could have tinges of the red salt representing the unique Crait landscape. However, the best feature would be a way fans can have Luke Skywalker dodge Kylo Ren’s vicious swipes. A small platform submerged in the terrain that works on rails would be perfect for this set. Finally, a Crait version of Luke Skywalker would please fans despite their frustration towards Rian Johnson’s interpretation of the character.

Resistance LifeBoat £39.99

Minifigures: General Leia Organa, Poe Dameron, C3-PO, Resistance Pilot

Reason: I’m fairly sure this was rumoured with Nien Nunb alongside the V-19…is this a dream?

Either way, I love this vehicle. Although it’s less of a fighter and thus lacking in ‘traditional’ play features, its sleek design and compartments would prove more than enough to please all ages. This one though would be really for the figures with a much-needed Episode 8 Leia appearing. Fans can also buy multiples to but their own figures included in this wave inside.

Finally, this set is one of the vehicles which can be docked in the hanger.

Resistance V-4X-D Ski Speeder £44.99

Minifigures: Finn, Rose, First Order SnowTrooper (x2)

Reason: Although personally I do not like TLJ, I do like the creation and inclusion of this vehicle. However, I felt Lego’s rendition back in 2018 was a bit too big for what was required. Therefore a smaller version would not only make sense, but be a lot more affordable. And although I hate the Rose scene (least because it makes zero sense), these figures were not included in the previous version. Finally, if Lego was to reboot the ST, Snowtroopers would be needed. This set provides the perfect opportunity even though they were barely seen in the Ski-Speeder scene…it seems to be a common theme with First Order Snowtroopers (2015..)

Poe Dameron’s Resistance X-Wing Fighter £49.99:

Minifigures: Poe Dameron, BB-8, C’ai Threnalli

Reasons: Not only does this version of Poe’s X-Wing feature in Episode 7, but it plays a starring role in that film and at the start of Episode 8. I think this set would sell like hotcakes with its downscale and thus cheaper price point. There’s not much more that needs to be said. It’s ultimately a reskin of the TFA version I posted a few days back and therefore goes well with the Tie Fighter and the next set below…

Once more, like the LifeBoat, this set can feature in the hangar…

Kylo Ren’s Tie Silencer £54.99:

Minifigures: Kylo Ren, Captain Canady, Firder Order Executioner

Reason: I think most people can agree that Kylo Ren is the best part of the ST. In the movie he tears apart  Resistance ships with his Silencer. This exquisite design was released back in 2017, and I think was fantastic. But, again, it would work well with a downscale because it is way more affordable. What’s quite morbid, is that this ship was responsible for completely obliterating the last set of this wave.

In terms of figures, Canady would be a nice addition because he does feature in these scenes and I don’t think the Dreadnaught is likely. The executioner stormtrooper would be useful as I assume slight design tweaks would be implemented in all the First Order forces to make them feel fresh and unique.

Mid-Scale Resistance Bomber (red livery) £64.99

Reason: Personally, I think the design of the Resistancd Bomber is one of the best, if not the best, in Star Wars. Whilst we saw Lego release the blue version, and later amend it with the infamous Finch Dallow debacle, a red version is far from likely because we don’t see any important character in one of them. Therefore, the mid-scale line represents the perfect opportunity. Admittedly, I thought long and hard about whether it should be a Dreadnaught, or more likely, The Supremacy. It was close, but I just felt the popularity of the Bomber combined with its striking livery, would serve the shelves far better.

The Raddus’ Resistance Hangar £79.99:

Minifigures: Vice-admiral Holdo, Bacta-tank Finn, Lieutenant Connix, Tallie Lintra, Vober Dand, Resistance A-Wing Pilot, Resistance Ground Crew

Reason: I must admit, I love this idea. Inspired by the Lego 2009 Home-One and the story and scenes in the TLJ, this provides a perfect way for other Resistance ships seen in the movie to interact with this set. Coming with two A-Wings - Tallie’s Blue version and the amazing red version - in the downscaled style that I have suggested thus far - the hanger would be big enough to accommodate both ships alongside spaces for the Ground Crew member and a small transport buggy or something similar such as a crane. Because the A-Wings will be scaled down, I don’t think the build would be repetitive; if anyone has built The Inquisitor ship from Kenobi, there are pretty much similar amounts of pieces for the wings…as fans we are used to building that so I see no reason why we couldn’t quite easily build two A-Wings. Plus, the red A-Wing design in TLJ is gorgeous.

At its best, Poe’s X-Wing could fit in the hangar, although being realistic it wouldn’t be big enough for it to fit more than one ship with Poe’s. Connected to to the hangar would be the room Finn sits in his Bacta, and Holdo’s control room. For the latter, it’s rather confusing which scenes are on the Raddus or not without watching the movie again, but she does eventually move to the Raddus.

For the figures, I’ve tried to include some important Resistance characters. Holdo needs an update, Connix has only be released in her TROS outfit, and Dand has never been released despite also featuring in TFA. Tallie Lintra has been released in a Microfighter but her helmet is inaccurate. Sadly, Lego would have to be creative in deciding the other Resistance A-Wing Pilot, although it is possible to see a pilot when slowing down the frames as the explosion occurs due to Kylo Ren. In these scenes we can also see unique Ground Crew types. Finally, Finn makes sense given the need for additional rooms to connect to the hangar and because he only featured as a Polybag.

Overall,  I could totally see this set as an exclusive. That being said, it would be a fantastic set for its ability to house the Lifeboat, Poe’s X-Wing, and the A-Wings and even the Resistance X-Wing from TFA waves posted the other day. Moreover, the figure selection is excellent here. I’m so happy with this idea! I’d buy this set, absolutely.

Thanks for reading everyone! TROS will be posted some point at the end of the week…probably Thursday.

All of your ideas for these are great, but these two would be my day 1 buys. I could easily see something like Poe's X-wing vs FO TIE fighter coming this summer or next year. The Mid-scale resistence bomber set sounds awesome, it'd be really cool if it was something like 3 bombers on the stand.

I'll do the same thing, but from the opposite direction. I'm switching up my standard list to more accurately reflect lego's waves, though still a little in between.

The Phantom Menace:

Microfighter: Republic Cruiser ($9.99): Obi-Wan Kenobi

Microfighter MTT ($9.99): B1 battle droid commander

Battle Pack: Naboo Defense ($19.99): 2x naboo security, 2x gungan warrior. Build is a Kaadu with Boomba cart.

Battle Pack: Trade Federation ($19.99): 4x b1 battle droid, 2x battle droid pilot. Builds are a STAP and droid carrier like in the 2007 battle pack.

System sets:

Vulture Droid ($14.99): 1x b1 battle droid and Nute Gunray.

Desert Duel ($24.99): Maul's Bloodfin speeder and a small bit of desert terrain, including a moisture vaporator with a feature to knock it over. Comes with Darth Maul, Qui-Gon Jinn, and Young Anakin

Queen's Rescue ($34.99): 2x b1 security droid, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Queen Amidala, and 1x handmaiden. Build is a facade of a naboo building with a balcony and foilage up the side.

N-1 Starfighter ($49.99): N-1 (significantly downsized from Mando's version) and a segment of Naboo Hanger interior. Comes with Young Anakin, 1x naboo pilot, R2-D2, 1x pilot battle droid, and 1x security battle droid.

Battle of Naboo ($89.99): AAT and Flash Speeder, as well as a bit of theed palace wall that can connect to the other two sets with Naboo Architecture. Comes with Padme (battle dress), Captain Panaka, 1x naboo security officer, 1x flash speeder pilot, 2x b1 battle droid, OOM-9, and 2x droidika

Republic Frigate ($129.99): Republic Frigate with 2x Judical officer, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Qui-Gon Jinn, Nute Gunray, TC-14, and 2x security droid.

MTT ($159.99): Largest MTT yet with a rack that can fit 24 B1 battle droids, as well as a cockpit area. Comes with 24 b1 battle droids, 2x pilot battle droid, 1x PNK droid, Captain Panaka, and Jar Jar Binks.

Midi Scale: Royal Naboo Cruiser ($69.99)

Diorama: Saving Naboo ($79.99): Sort of a mix between midi-scale and a diorama, this features a midi-scale Lucrehulk with naboo fighters and vulture droids swirling around it, as well as a "floor" with the planet and stars. Quote is "Now this is Podracing"- Anakin Skywalker.

Diorama: Duel of the Fates ($89.99): Naboo generator room catwalks with pillar thing on one side, elevated a fair bit. Comes with Obi-Wan Kenobi, Qui-gon Jinn, and Darth Maul. Quote is "NOOOOOOO" -Obi-Wan Kenobi

UCS: UCS MTT ($699.99): Massive MTT that can fit a hundred fourty-four battle droids inside it, and has a sizable cockpit. Comes with all 144 b1 battle droids, as well as Captain Tarpals and Jar Jar Binks.

150€- Minifig scale Episode 2 Republic Gunship with printed Bubble guns, printed cockpit windows, closeable doors, very few visible studs. springloaded shooters that well Hidden you would not notice if you didn't know (the only model Lego managed to do this was the penguins gar from TLBM and boy, i love it even as an adult). I don't realy care about the figures. I already have a crew of 501st troopers to use it.

250€ - minifig scale Ebon Hawk with the complete crew including a new mould for hk47. Awesome build. Lots of printed elements. No stickers.

Better late than never! The Rise of Skywalker wave. The one with the most amount of potential sets given Lego releasing just the one wave and a few add ons…

Knights of Ren Brickheadz Pack £44.99:

Reason: The best way to get the Knights of Ren, and in a unique format given we were lucky to have all 6 released, although in several sets because The NightBuzzard was poorly designed, was a Brickheadz pack. I think this would be an excellent display piece and fans would appreciate the unique features of each Knight packed into an efficient use of parts. Whilst some will pose different and perhaps more complex challenges than others, I think each Knight should be able to be translated into the Brickheadz format nicely.

Resistance B-Wing £54.99:

Minifigures: Aftab Ackbar, Rose Tico, Larma D’Acy, Klaud

Reason: Because I have decided to release both Resistance and First Order vehicles in the downscaled format we saw with the X-Wing and Tie in January 2021, it would seem rather perplexing to omit the B-Wing. In truth, we need a Rebel B-Wing, but equally, the Resistance B-Wing has an interesting colour scheme and the potential for good figures. On the topic of figures, I was always a fan of the sheer scale and diversity of Resistance members of Ajan Kloss. A B-Wing could really help provide us with some of the Rebels we are missing. I also think there’s space somewhere for an Ajan Kloss Resistance Battle Pack but that’s for another time.

Treadable Tank £64.99:

Minifigures: Lando “the Hermit”, Chewbacca, Kalo’ne, First Order Jet Trooper, First Order Treadspeeder Pilot.

Reason: Who wouldn’t want a unique variant of Lando, and a really cool alien in Kalo’ne? Moreover, I felt this offered more as a Passana playset over the missing speeder with its counterpart that released in 2019. Finally, with such a unique design this is right up Lego’s street. And whilst the tank is less of a tank than traditionally considered, the presence of a Treadspeeder will help with the playability on offer.

Duel on Exegol Diorama £69.99

Quote: The lifeforce of your bond... “a dyad in the Force. A power like life itself. Unseen for generations.”

OR

“And now... the power of two restores the one, true Emperor.”

Minifigures: Palpatine, Rey, Ben Solo

Reason: Unquestionably, I think it’s such a disappointment this set has yet to be released. I was very surprised that in 2020 we did not see this set, and that surprise has not changed. Nevertheless, a reboot of the ST provides an opportunity for this long awaited set. It comes at a time when a new sub-theme has emerged: diorama’s. I think a diorama of this scene is the best option compared to a playscale version because I don’t think there’s a great deal of play that could be had beyond Palpatine taking his seat on the throne. This diorama would come with that function, and a bacta tank nearby. The main draw would be the grand throne; I think Lego could really do something imposing here. In terms of figures, all 3 are vital to the scene. The inclusion of Palpatine would be enough for any Star Wars fan, but I think most would love Ben Solo in Lego form. Rey could come with a new faceprint and torso to match her battle scars. Finally, I excluded the option to include Sovereign Protectors as the 2023 Death Star duel diorama failed to include the Royal Guards; I’m not against this decision because they do detach from the overall scene and thus the quote. I have managed to fit those somewhere else, however. Overall, everything about this set would be a winner.

First Order UA-TT £74.99:

Minifigures: Poe Dameron, Zorii Bliss, Lieutenant Barrok, First Order SnowTrooper (cape), First Order UA-TT Driver

Reason: in a film where the Final Order dominate, a First Order set might be surprising. Even more so because it’s barley seen in the movie. However that has not stopped Lego before…there are countless examples, I’m sure you could think of a handful in a few seconds. Moreover, not only do I love the UA-TT’s design, but it provides a key into the Kajimi scenes. Hence, we can get Poe and Zorii. I have also included Barrok as shown in the movie, a First Order Snowtrooper with cape (goes along with the Snowtrooper from the Ski Speeder), and a UA-TT Driver (this can be the traditional First Order Drive as seen in sets such as the First Order AT-AT…or what I have seen more recently when searching for this very driver). Either way, this set would be a great way to get Poe and Zorii even though their versions were pretty good in 2019. Some First Order forces are never a bad thing, however. I did for a moment consider our friend Babu, but it just didnt feel appropriate enough.

Final Order Transporter £99.99:

Minifigures: Sith Trooper (x2), Sith Jet Trooper (x2), Finn, Jannah, Beaumont Kin (and an Orbak)

Reason: At first, I wanted to do another Final Order Battle Pack. But given the variety of Final Order Forces that could be included, and those types that have not yet been released (we will get to that next…) it wouldn’t work. The next best thing was a Transporter. Lego has previously released one of these back in 2015 based on TFA and it’s a solid set. I think Lego would need to simply re-release that with minor changes to brush it up and make it that bit better. Accompanying the set would be 4 Final Order Troopers, and Finn, Jannah, and for the first time, Beaumont Kin…with your chosen character riding a moulded Orbak. This set would be fantastic, and I can only imagine how amazing the box-art would look! Simply, this set is a no brainer.

Final Order Star Destroyer £159.99:

Minifigures: General Pryde, General Hux (injured), Final Order Technician (x2), Sith Sovereign Protector (x2)

Reason: This set is much-need. It would serve as the flagship of the wave. Whilst Thrawn’s Chimera will ultimately revive the Star Destroyer in the coming years, 2029 being the film’s 10 year anniversary and the Final Order version having its divergences, least so the large underside cannon and the red livery around its edges  gives this set promise. Additionally, it will have enough differences to the Finalizer as mentioned in my TFA list.

This set would allow us to get Final Order Technicians and Sith Sovereign Protectors which are two variants I think are needed. I did originally have these in a battle pack, but I felt it would reduce the appeal of the Star Destroyer if it were ever to be released. Alongside them would be Pryde who does not need many changes, and Hux in his injured variant which would be an amusing and neat addition. Overall, the set would be spectacular and refreshing and the minifigures would only strengthen both these things. What a set this would be.

Overall, that rounds out my TROS wave, and my Sequel Trilogy reboot. For those who have followed along, I hope it was enjoyable. I’d love to have some commwnts…granted I admit the trilogy is far than satisfactory and relevant right now. However, I have hoped to convey the real potential these movies have in the realm of Lego and I have tried to make my ideas original and exciting.

If I was to decide which set is my favourite from each movie in this reboot, I’d go with the X-Wing vs Tie, The Raddus Hangar, and the Duel on Exegol.

Cheers everyone!

All great as always. I have to agree with your favorites of each wave, though I might swap out the raddus hanger for the bombers. Such a cool design in a movie that I otherwise wasn't a fan of.

Love all these! Surely the SPHA-T would be more than $120!;)

Never realised how badly I wanted a new Gunship Microfighter. Perhaps Rex’s Y-Wing has wet the appetite as I’m really excited for that set. It’s scandalous we don’t have an updated Pilot…

Love these ones quoted! Admittedly, I think I’d want a larger Boga vs Grievous set with a brickbuilt creature. Could be a good way to get Cody again, too.

To be honest, I think you’ve included lots of refreshing Clone content. I still think there’s lots more Lego can do as evidenced here, and some of my ideas I have too.

I think I’d want a larger Mustafar duel diorama set, more akin to the old set from 2005. It could go again as the grain of diorama’s and be a little bit more expensive. Would sell really well; one of those that would appeal to fans beyond Lego that’s for sure! Can already see it viral on TikTok.

If it's sized proportionally to the AT-TE, yeah, probably.

We should definitely get a new gunship microfighter, but given how infrequently we get microfighters now, unfortunately I think it's stuck to super-iconic ships with super-desirable characters. maybe P2 Cody will show up in one at some point?

I've done a larger Boga V Grievous and Mustafar diorama in the past, so I didn't want to put them here. (Though admittedly it's been a couple years since my Boga V Grievous, so it might be due for a remake)

A large mustafar set could be really cool.

A New Hope wave:

Microfighter: Red Five X-wing ($9.99): Luke Skywalker (pilot)

Microfighter: TIE Advanced ($9.99): TIE Advanced

Battle Pack: Rebel Fleet Troopers ($19.99): 4x Rebel Fleet Trooper, build is a bit of the Tantive IV hallway and an infantry turret.

Battle Pack: Death Star Troopers ($19.99): 2x stormtrooper, 2x navy trooper, Turbolaser turret, and security console.

System Sets:

Ben Kenobi's final duel ($19.99): hanger bay hallway with Ben Kenobi and Darth Vader. Has turntables for the fight.

Landspeeder checkpoint ($39.99): Luke's landspeeder and a brick-built Dewback. Comes with Luke Skywalker, Ben Kenobi, R2-D2, C-3PO, and 2 Sandtroopers.

Y-wing Starfighter ($59.99): Y-wing (smaller than 2017 but larger than 2023) with Dutch Vander, Evaan Verlaine, 1x rebel astromech, 1x rebel crew, and Han Solo.

Cell Block Escape ($79.99): Security outer room with console and camera, as well as a small hallway leading to Leia's cell, and a grate that opens to a hole in the floor containing the trash compactor, which has a wall-closing feature and an exit door. Comes with Stormtrooper Luke, Princess Leia, Stormtrooper Han, Chewbacca, and 2x Navy Trooper

Mos Eisley ($99.99): Mos Eisley, built as a full building that splits open to reveal the interior- 2x seated tables on one side, a table and cantina band space on the other, and the bar in the middle, as well as a dewback. Comes with Han Solo, Greedo, Luke Skywalker, Ponda Baba, Wuher, Dr. Evazan, Ben Kenobi, and 1x sandtrooper.

Trench Run ($119.99): X-wing and TIE Advanced (roughly 2021 scaled), as well as a turbolaser tower. Comes with Luke Skywalker (Pilot), R2-D2, Darth Vader, 1x death star gunner, and 1x imperial officer.

Tantive IV ($169.99): Tantive IV with interior cockpit and hallway. Comes with Darth Vader, 2x stormtrooper, Leia Organa, 2x fleet trooper, Captain Antilles, R2-D2, and C-3PO.

Midi-Scale: Imperial Star Destroyer ($79.99)

Diorama: Shoots First ($59.99): Mos Eisley cantina interior. A full table booth in the middle with half of a table booth area on either side. Comes with Han Solo, Greedo, Arleil Schous, and BoShek.

Diorama: Throne Room Celebration ($89.99): Yavin throne room with figures of Leia Organa, Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Chewbacca, C-3PO, R2-D2, and Jan Dodanna.

UCS/MBS: UCS TIE Fighter ($239.99): TIE Pillot (arm printing), Stormtrooper (arm printing)

These are awesome! Only changes I would make would be that the Tantive IV probably wouldn't have the space to have a hallway, probably would just be a cockpit area and that middle Leia's office area. And I think that it's too soon to get another UCS Tie fighter, maybe an updated Tie Advanced would fit better?

Or 2x Rebel Fleet Trooper, 1x Rebel Honor Guard, 1x Rebel Ground Crew; the build would be a Rebel personnel carrier (similar to the one in the Yavin IV base, but with stud shooters on the front).
