Or 2x Rebel Fleet Trooper, 1x Rebel Honor Guard, 1x Rebel Ground Crew; the build would be a Rebel personnel carrier (similar to the one in the Yavin IV base, but with stud shooters on the front).

Definitely agree. I was disappointed with the lack of Honour Guards in the Yavin set.

For the build, I’d love a Microfighter style AAC-1 Tank from the old Battlefront games, but that’s just personal preference.

Does anyone feel that we need more capital ships that are playscale? Like sure we got the light cruiser recently, but that's even been a couple years and imo the interior really is lacking. As much as I am gonna for sure buy the midi scale stuff like the Executor and Invisible Hand, I really wish Lego would do a new Star Destroyer (even chimera would be acceptable), an Invisible Hand at playscale like the Malevolence, a Venator, etc.

They’re super tricky to do, and with Lego seemingly downscaling, these ships are at the expense.

Admittedly, I do think about a Nebulon B Frigate, a lot.

Hello! Personally, I'd love to see an official LEGO Death Star conference room set, including Imperial officers' minifigure with early type rank insignia plaques and a correct ANH Darth Vader minifigure. Darth's Rebels figure is nice, but not quite accurate even compared with the TV show version. I hope a correct minifig would show up in next year's Tantive IV boarding set.

Honor guard are a good shout. Maybe 3x fleet trooper and 1 honor guard. Wouldn't really want to army-build ground crew with my fleet troopers though. Maybe a separate pack with some pilots and a ground crew.

These are awesome! Only changes I would make would be that the Tantive IV probably wouldn't have the space to have a hallway, probably would just be a cockpit area and that middle Leia's office area. And I think that it's too soon to get another UCS Tie fighter, maybe an updated Tie Advanced would fit better?

The TIE Fighter will be 9 years old by 2024 (And more along the lines of what I was thinking, there's a huge number of new curved slopes it could use that have come out since then), but you're right, the Advanced has been longer without a UCS model and needs one more desperately.

It would require the skeleton of the model to be different from lego's standard frigate style, but a $170 Tantive IV definitely could fit a hallway down the center.

would be hilarious if they do that.

I'm not much for wishlisting since I feel like most of the stuff I really want has already been covered, but I think if Lego wants to keep doing Clone Wars/general prequel stuff, it would be nice to get some non-clone sets. Some larger CIS vehicles would be nice, and there are a ton of named characters that could use an update, let alone that we've never gotten before. I don't have too many specific wishes, but a new versions of Count Dooku and Ventress would be pretty nice given that they're both major characters who we haven't gotten in years.

I totally agree. It probably isn't possible just off how long it's been, but given they're putting the same rex as in the venator into a $13 microfighter, I think they are in their "let's screw over the scalpers" phase, which is fun.

Totally agree on the latter part, too. It's nuts how many clone sets we have and it feels like the seppies have nothing in comparison. Not to mention it's been over a decade since Dooku.

Rise of Skywalker wave- this'll be a toughie, but everyone and their mother's suggested Exogol, so that'll be there-

Are these figures from a red resistance bomber? That’s my only worry is we never actually see who is on that variant, which for my list I did a few months back put me off.

Quoting @joebiwankenobi from the 2024 Thread here because my comment was more wishlisty than warranted in the news thread

Quote

I think they could pull it off now if they chose to do so for the USD $160 slot. Though, I do understand if it's still something they are hesitant to produce. An updated Gungan sub or MTT would be nice alternatives although I would like to see something they've never done before.

If they decide to commit to more ep I sets this year my best case scenario would be a new MTT for the 160USD slot and a midi scale Royal Starship similar to this year's Executor or next years' predicted Invisible Hand.

Also a shoutout to @Mandalorianknight and @ArrowBricks for keeping this thread alive in the last few weeks =)

The discussion in the main thread about TPM's 25th Anniversary being acknowledged by Lego got me thinking about what I could conceivably see Lego doing to celebrate it next year. We know we at least have a buildable Droideka, microscale Podrace diorama and AAT polybag coming. Now, Lego can be very inconsistent with how they handle these Star Wars anniversaries and which ones they celebrate, so I don't think we'll see too much else, but just for fun, I want to run through some of the other things I would like to see LEGO doing.

As I mentioned in the main thread, I think we probably have another diorama coming that we just haven't heard about yet. In 2022, we got two wide-release dioramas and one retail exclusive one (with one of these dioramas being microscale) and just two wide-release dioramas this year (neither of which are microscale). I think it'd be odd if they just did one microscale diorama next year, so I think we have another one coming that we just don't have a set number assigned to, possibly a retail exclusive one.

I think it goes without saying that a Duel of the Fates diorama would be a hot seller, and next year would be perfect for it. I think a design similar to any of these MOCs would be fantastic:

Personally, I miss getting waves largely or entirely dedicated to one movie/show or general subtheme, so here's what I came up with for a wave to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of TPM. I'm sticking to five sets of varying sizes to be consistent with most of the waves we got for the new Disney-era films. This would be a mixture of stuff we've either never gotten or haven't gotten in a long time.

Naboo Flash Speeder ($30-40): We've gotten the green version twice, so it'd be nice to see the teal/turquoise version for a change. Figures could include Battle of Naboo Padme (New!), Naboo Soldier [x2] (New!) and two B-1 Battle Droids.

Gungan Sub ($70): A remake of the 2012 set with Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon and Jar Jar returning, as well as our first Boss Nass (New!).

Mos Espa Podrace ($90-100): A remake of the 2011 Podrace set with Anakin and Sebulba's podracers. Maybe a side build could be the gate with start/finish line. Minifigures would include child Anakin with Podracing Helmet, Qui-Gon with Tatooine poncho, naked C-3PO (New!), Shmi Skywalker (New!), Watto (New!) and Sebulba.

N-1 Naboo Starfighter vs. Vulture Droids ($130): @Mandalorianknight mentioned this idea in the discussion thread. The builds would include a typical N-1 (probably smaller and a bit closer to minfigure scale) and two tan/brown Vulture Droids. Minifigures would include child Anakin, Queen Amidala (New!), Naboo Pilot (New!), R2-D2 and 2-3 Battle Droids. Maybe some pilots or security variants to change things up a little bit.

Naboo Royal Starship ($160): Probably wouldn't be quite chrome (LBG instead most likely), but it'd be nice to have an official model of this set. The interior could have the cockpit and the room with the Queen's throne. Minifigures could include Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon, Captain Panaka (New!), Ric Olie (New!), Handmaiden Padme (New!) and Queen Amidala [Sabe] in one of her other outfits (New!).

As for which of these sets I think is likely for 2024? Probably none of them to be honest, but they're all concepts I'd like to see Lego do at some point, and how I'd realistically see Lego doing them. This selection of five sets would help us get a lot of missing characters/variants or primary characters we haven't gotten in a while. It'd also be nice to get Senator Palpatine, Nute Gunray, Rune Haako and beloved character Kitster in a set, but they're all pretty niche. I do think a Royal Starship is somewhat possible, and maybe a small set like the Flash Speeder or a remake of the 2015 AAT with a slightly different figure selection. We are getting the AAT polybag after all and while that doesn't necessarily mean we'll get a full playset to accompany them, I do think it's highly possible and probably likelier than any of my ideas.

This was fun to come up with, I might do this for the other prequel films.

Personally, I miss getting waves largely or entirely dedicated to one movie/show or general subtheme, so here's what I came up with for a wave to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of TPM. I miss this too. But they are a thing of the past, a time when Star Wars content was very limited and when the Prequels were to be released in 3D. However, I am very intrigued to see how comprehensive Lego celebrates TPM this year (crikey, it’s 2024) because it will give an even better indicates for AOTC and ROTS. Last year with TCW was fairly good in terms of representation. I’d expect 2 TPM sets for the second half of 2024.

You should definitely do it for the others, your ideas are solid.

Yeah. I also the miss the interconnectivity of previous waves. I think in addtion to more content, the line has diversified quite a bit. We have now Brickheadz, helmets, dioramas etc.

I feel like this one and the Duel of the Fates idea would be the most likely candidates if we got a TPM anniverdary set (and the ones I would want to see most).

My newest wishlist is a diorama of the Death Star imperial command room.  Just a big table with Tarkin, admiral Yularen, Tagge, Motti, and Vader with a quote I find your lack of faith disturbing.  Simple but I would pay good money for that line up of minifigs.

Here’s my wishlist and predictions for the remaining TPM sets for 2024. Obviously, they account for what we know is coming out in the first half. Second, this post assumes there will be more sets in 2024 because it’s not a given. Finally, there might be overlap between what I want and what I predict.

Wishlist:

Otoh Gunga (plasma bubble, walkway, Gungan council) 39.99: Boss Nass, Jar Jar Binks, Captain Tarpals, Qui-Gon-Jinn (breathing apparatus), Obi-Wan Kenobi (breathing apparatus

Darth Maul’s Sith Infiltrator (new, modern smaller scale aligned with the Slave One, X-Wing etc) £59.99: Darth Maul, Qui-Gon-Jinn, Watto, Padme

Naboo Starfighter vs Vulture Droid £64.99: Naboo Pilot, R2-C4, Anakin Skywalker, R2-D2, Naboo Engineer, Security Battle Droid (x2)

Naboo Royal Starship £139.99: Ric Olie, Captain Paneka, Queen Amidala, Obi-Wan Kenobi, R2-D2, R2-R9, Qui-Gon-Jinn, Darth Maul

GWP Lucrehulk-class Droid Control Ship (similar to Death Star GWP 2023) - Nute Gunray

Predictions:

Naboo Starfighter (new modern smaller scale as per above) £44.99 Anakin Skywalker, R2-D2, Theed Padme Amidala, Security Battle Droid (x2)

Darth Maul’s Sith Infiltrator (new, modern scale aligned with the Slave One, X-Wing etc) £59.99: Darth Maul, Qui-Gon-Jinn

GWP Mid-scale MTT (alike Death Star GWP 2023- Nute Gunray

I'd put money on this, an MTT, Naboo fighter, or some combination of the above coming, though I think we could see this one almost exactly (Just Child Anakin or Obi-Wan instead of Watto- the mold is gone and I don't see them making a new one for a fig only tangentially related to the set)

This is my prediction for the august wave

Wolfpack troopers battle pack ($19.99): 3x wolfpack trooper, Commander Wolffe, and an AT-RT build.

Anniversary set: Anakin Skywalker's Jedi Starfighter ($29.99): Anakin Skywalker's Delta-7 with anakin skywalker, R2-D2, and anniversary figure Mara Jade (The Thrawn Trilogy)

Republic Gunship $34.99 (Juniors): Captain Rex, 1x Shock Trooper, 2x Battle Droid.

Anniversary set: Darth Vader's TIE Fighter ($49.99): Darth Vader's TIE Advanced with Darth Vader, 1x TIE pilot, 1x stormtrooper, and anniversary figure Seventh Sister (rebels).

Naboo Fighter vs Vulture Droid ($69.99): N-1 (400-ish pcs) and vulture droid (200ish pcs) with Child Anakin, R2-D2, Naboo Pilot, 2x b1 security droid

Duel of the Fates diorama  ($99.99): laser walls and final catwalk with Obi-Wan Kenobi, Qui-Gon Jinn, and Darth Maul. Quote is "promise me you will train the boy".

The Mantis ($109.99): Stinger Mantis with Cal Kestis, Greez Ditrius, Nightsister Merrin, Cere Junda, BD-1, Second Sister, and a Purge Trooper.

MTT ($139.99): 24x b1 battle droid, 2x b1 pilot droid, Jar Jar Binks.

Anniversary set: The Millennium Falcon ($169.99): ANH Falcon with Farmboy Luke, Princess Leia, Old Ben Kenobi, Han Solo, Chewbacca, R2-D2, C-3PO, and a special anniversary Starkiller (The Force Unleashed)

I will maintain that I don’t think an MTT is likely. I truly believe if we see one it will be blue.

Watto mould retired? I’m super intrigued, how do you know? But yes, on reflection, he shouldn’t be there.

Are these predictions or wishlists? Seems the latter;)

I genuinely love this list, and for loads of reasons too!

I would love a Wolfpack Troopers Battle Pack and then Plo Koon’s Starfighter with hyperdrive and including Wolffe. We cannot have the captain in a battle pack…I won’t let it! I also think a Wolfpack ARF Trooper would be cool!! Even if the cannon version seems to be similar to the 2012 battle pack version. Lego can be creative here, I’ll let them.

The anniversary figures are super interesting and far more interesting than the likes of Young Leia (although if she comes with her droid that would help, but doubtful). Rebel’s anniversary makes loads of sense to be fair, I just think they’d chose a different character whether I agree with it or not. Someone like Ryder Azadi or Rebel Kallus. Your Starkiller idea is genius, though. Love it!!

That 4+ Gunship is a genius idea. Doubt we would get that many figures, but it would be such a good cash grab. The problem is I don’t know whether the young children love Clones as much as the teens and adults of today. Admittedly, the 4+ sets they’ve produced in the past have made little sense if that theory was correct. It’s only been the last 2 YJA that have made sense for the demographic.

Love your three larger sets in this wave. Perfect balance. I’d love the Falcon to be ESB, though. Baffled how the Mantis hasn’t been done. They’ve missed a trick, there.

Generally speaking, any mold that hasn't been in a set for- I don't think the exact time is known, but it seems to be about 5 years- is destroyed. Watto hasn't been seen since 2015, ergo- mold is gone.

I honestly think we have a shot at wolfpack troopers, though TBH I only shoved Wolffe into the BP so he'd be in one of the wave's sets. I'm sure lego would throw him in whatever other prequel set they were doing that wave (like the MTT) regardless of whether or not it's strictly canon.

Seventh Sister was really just because she's the most prominent inquisitor we don't yet have (At least if we discount the games), but I agree, Rebel Kallus is pretty likely. Ryder might be a shout too "boring", as much as I'd like him, but then again, I'd have thought child leia was too boring as well.

For $35 I think 2 figs and 2 droids is fairly likely- remember that B1s don't seem to "count" as full figures in lego's eyes. You bring up a good point about the clones- I'd assumed younger kids were just as into the clones as I was as a kid, but they weren't born in the midst of the prequels. Though it wouldn't be the first time a juniors set/figures baffled me- as much as I love wedge, if you're young enough to need 4+ sets instead of system ones, you don't know who he is.

I would normally do an ESB falcon- I've been thinking every summer since 2021 that we'd be getting an ESB falcon next summer- but since it's the 25th anniversary I figured it'd be nice to have a set with the main cast of the original film.

It would be cool for a new ultimate collectors line.  Specifically one focused on minifigs, because collectors love minifigs.  so once a year we would get a buildable display themed to the minifigs selection.  Minifigs would be CMF level (arm printing, leg printing, unique molds etc.).  So an example would be Red Squadron.  Would have a display for 6-10 of the pilots.  They would all be UCS pilot Luke level of detail.  The display stand would be to showcase the minifigs not to be a diorama.  Focus would be on obscure character groups that are underrepresented (without Lego being willing to do a CMF line).  So named rebel pilots, named imperial officers, named gungans, Jedi council, video game leads (could easily do 5 or 6 here), etc. or ones we have not seen in a long time like phoenix squad, or jabbas palace aliens.  this would give us a (pricey) set with super high quality minifigs and a display or stand for them and help cover ground with unexplored minifigs.  The crazy part is they could do this for twenty years and still not make a significant impact on all the characters that have not been done let alone the ones we have not seen in a long time.

Some fun joke sets based on the new leaks:

Good Death Star ($169.99- just a large white sphere with the superlaser, paneled off. Some of the panels open for interior space): Good emperor (brown robe, force lightning elements replaced by force hug elements), Good Tarkin (exactly the same but with more hair and a different rank plaque), Evil Ben Kenobi (black robes), 2x suntrooper (yellow stormtroopers with the mouth vent looking like a smile instead of a frown), and a Max rebo fig in a small mech.

Evil Republic gunship ($149.99- black gunship with blue highlights): Evil captain rex (black and red armor, inverted Jag eyes), 2x Evil Clone trooper (Black armor. Under the helmets, they look nothing alike), Evil Ahsoka Tano (black robes, taller top montrals), Good Grievous (just a normal minifig of his Kaleesh form), Dexter Jettster holding a non-star wars gun.

Evil X-wing vs good TIE fighter ($109.99): Black and blue X-wing and white and yellow TIE fighter. Comes with Evil Pilot Luke (green flight suit with blue imperial cogs on black pilot helmet), Evil Leia (black robes), Evil Han Solo (black shirt with white jacket, dark red pants), Good TIE Pilot (white armor), Good Boba Fett (holiday special armor).

Evil Luke's Landspeeder ($29.99): dark blue and dark green landspeeder with Evil Farmboy Luke (black tunic with snow printed on instead of sand), Evil R2-D2 (exactly the same as normal R2-D2), Evil Jawa (black robe, red eyes).

Moustache Rebel's snowspeeder ($39.99): Moustache Rebel's snowspeeder (with a large moustache built on front) with Moutsache rebel, Jek Porkins 2, and 2x snowtrooper (2003 era design)

Rebel Friend's speeder ($14.99): 2008 rebel combat speeder remake but with only one fig, Rebel Friend, and a minikit build.
