@ArrowBricks Sorry if my points came off as rude. But those are some good counterpoints.

Anyway back to wish listing.

In general things that I hope Lego does

1) Bring back the 3 battlepacks per year system. One villain BP, one Hero BP, and one super BP. Normal BPs release in Jan and the Super BP releases in August.

2) More Mechs that feel like vehicles instead of extensions to their figures. Much like this year’s X-Wing mech. Though preferably no mechs at all.

3) Imperial base sets that are compatible in a way akin to the Iron man halls of armour.

2025 January predictions:

Venator microfighter (£12.99): Admiral Yularen.

Captain Rex Brickheadz (£12.99)

Stormtrooper Battlepack (£19.99): 3x stormtroopers and a stormtrooper Commander.

Acolyte Set (£49.99-79.99)

No no, you’re all good my friend.

Three battle packs is a lot. I think Lego fear they’ll run out of options (that would sell well in their eyes) too quickly. By adding an extra Battle Pack each year, from 2025, you’d have used another 6 slots by the end of 2030, equivalent to another 3 years if they kept it at 2. It’s risky their end, which I can appreciate.

The problem with mechs is the designers are confined to creating visually different mechs. For example, a Kylo Ren mech would look too similar to Vader’s, a Clone Trooper’s too similar to the Stormtrooper mech.

Please elaborate on point 3?

Nice predictions, mainly because I like the sound of them. I’d be shocked if we got another Clone Wars Microfighter, however.

Some of my predictions for 2025

May 4th UCS: Naboo N1 Starfighter or Anakin’s Jedi Interceptor

In the same way that last year was the anniversary of the ROTJ, and this year we’re receiving two ROTJ UCS sets, I believe next year would be a great opportunity to refresh the iconic N1 while offering a reprieve from OT sets. The only downside to this is that it would mean three consecutive years where the may 4th UCS set is a “remake”, so my plan B would be Anakin’s interceptor. Less to do with the anniversary and more to do with the fact that there is a dwindling number of new OT ships they could make for $240, and Anakin’s interceptor is near the top of the list for prequel sets.

Fall MBS: Battle of Endor

With the Cantina retiring this year, and no apparent replacement, we’re almost certainly getting a new MBS, and Endor is the perfect choice. It’s suitable for display, as proven by Ewok Village, it’s been over a decade since any Endor playset, and I believe last year’s advent calendar builds were subtle hints at what is to come. It would also provide an excellent pairing for a potential stormtrooper battle pack or a playset AT-ST, which is a vehicle that doesn’t stay off shelves for too long, and the Hoth variant retired last year.

Buildable droid: Grievous

It’s just too tantalizing given the occasion.

Dioramas:

Palpatine’s Arrest, Anakin vs Obi-Wan, Duel of the Fates?

First two to coincide with the anniversary, I added duel of the fates because I’m still gobsmacked over how they didn’t release such an obvious money layup this year.

Starship collection:

Mon Calamari, Lucrehulk, Ghost

It’s now called the “starship collection”, so we can’t expect land vehicles as some have predicted. With the Executor being extended into 2025, I don’t see something aesthetically similar like a Star destroyer or Venator being made next year.

We all want Endor, there’s so much potential. Not only would the figures be updated, the generator is badly needing a modern upgrade.

Buildable Greivous the dream, but I can’t see it happening sadly.

Great point about the Starship Collection; an oversight on my behalf. Based on this, I still think a Venator is very likely. The Imperial Shuttle is bound to happen, too, at some point. The Ghost would be a great set, but they might wait for Filoni’s movie. It’s a shame the RazoreCrest is obsolete as that would look good too.

It’s only been done once! Sorely needing an upgrade.

I think the Filoni movie would provide another opportunity for a Disney-era UCS set, whether it’s the Mando N1 (maybe, I’d rather Naboo), the ghost (doubtful, bigger than the Falcon), or the T6 (also a good choice).

I have this idea for a set even though it would never be made and is a bit out there, A abandoned, battle damaged ISD with Zombie Stormtroopers (Death Troopers Novel) Minifigures included are: 3 Zombie Stormtroopers, 2 with just printed worn and torn armor and blood and the other, a missing/broken bottom piece of a Stormtrooper helmet with a mouth showing, Imperial Captain Zombie and a Stormtrooper survivor

Here are a few ideas on how they could make the Mechs more like vehicles rather than character extensions.

1) Captain Rex mech: Twin blasters, Blue and white colour scheme and 2 Y-Wing engines mounted on the back mimicking a jetpack.

2) Tie Fighter mech: Blaster, a shield shaped like a tie wing and an enclosed cockpit.

3) Commander Cody mech: Republic Gunship wings, Republic Gunship colour scheme and wrist mounted rockets.

Those are a few examples. Essentially mechs that are based off vehicles.

My idea is that every couple of years Lego releases an imperial base component that can easily be connected with its predecessor and successor. Much like the Iron Man halls of Armour. Sort of like an imperial base Modular series. Here are a few ideas.

Bunker Entrance: 2 stormtroopers, 2 scout troopers and a rebel commando.

Bunker Corridor: 2 Stormtroopers, a scout trooper and a officer.

Power generators: 2 DS troopers, Rebel Commando and a Imperial officer.

Command centre: 2 DS troopers, a stormtrooper and a ranked DS trooper.

Basically Lego releases one of these every year and you can connect them to make a large imperial facility. Then they could make a MBS imperial hangar that could also be connected to this series.

I just want to see the people who “invested” in the Venator’s figures to watch their silly philosophy burn to the ground. I want it to happen because I want to see the pure chaos that would ensue.

I would settle for an ISD microfighter with Thrawn though.

See I think this is a much better way of doing the mechs (mecha? I never know what the plural is). For people like Boba Fett who have a lot of gadgets it's fine, but as you say, incorporating aspects of ships like the Luke mech does makes them far more interesting.

You have gone big on Kashyyyk, which whilst needed, I doubt will happen. I think I’d like to see a couple more Wookie Warriors as I think they add real flavour to the sets.

The Z-95 set is genius, and I’d pay good money for that. Not £100, though! I’d say £69.99, maximum.

Buildable Droid would be so so good, and Nute is a solid inclusion.

If Lego were to release a Landspeeder, I think I’d like it to be as part of a diorama. It would give it a modern design that’s sorely missing. The quote would be obvious, too.

Keeli, Scuba Troops, and Cold Assault Troopers have been on my wishlist for years! I also love the Legends sets.

This also reminded me of the absolutely brainless decision to release the Black Ace TIE over a freakin' Fireball. No wonder the sets sold poorly. (Even though I've grown to appreciate the TIE Ace, but still).

Wookie Jedi 'battle pack'

@Agent Kallus fun idea you have there. We could actually really do with a Jedi battlepack.

It’s come to my attention that the rebels are arguably the LSW faction that are the weakest. (Clones being the strongest, with empire and separatists tied in second place.)

Rebel Hardware. (Let’s face it, the rebels need some ground force buffs)

A-A5 speeder truck (£29.99): 1 male Rebel Assault Trooper, 1 female Rebel Assault Trooper, 1 Rebel Heavy Trooper and a Rebel officer.

T3-B heavy assault tank (£59.99): 1 Rebel Pilot, 1 Sullustan Rebel Desert trooper, 1 Human Rebel Desert trooper, 1 Urban Rebel Trooper and an Imperial Sandtrooper.

Salvaged AT RT (£12.99): BF2 Endor Twilek Specialist and a BF2 Endor Zebrak Heavy Trooper.

Anyone else have anything to add to rebel ground force ideas?

I'd only be OK with this if it was her SWGOH outfit. I'm generally against lego changing the outfits for that sort of thing- Black Cat, for instance, didn't need that weird bodysuit thing under her main outfit, they could have just avoided printing certain lines- but Talon's costume crosses the line and is just not appropriate for children.

Plus I would not trust the fandom with a Darth Talon minifig. I wouldn't trust George Lucas with one, either.

It was such an incredibly stupid choice to not make the main ship of the series. It's even worse than if they'd avoided the ghost (if rebels was 2 seasons), imo, because the Fireball WAS resistence. The show was all about racing and starfighters. The fireball's even in the logo!

I made a T2-B waaaaaaaaay back in the day (I think it was one of my first interactions with @ARC2149Nova, back when he used a 332nd profile picture). I've been thinking about doing an update but I'm just so far behind on my list of sets to do.
