The sets carry the 18+ branding now and at the end of the day we're talking about a blocky Lego figure that is no more inappropriate than this City minifigure: Quote

I believe the reports actually turned out to be more aligned with the "huttslayer" rebranding theory. A new idea: Speculative bad batch wave based on trailers. This is done in the way I've been doing my other waves, I don't actually expect lego to make a full bad batch wave (I wish). They're formatted as follows: SET TITLE ($XX.XX): DESCRIPTION AND FIGURES -REASONING/SPECULATION. As with any speculation, there could be minor plot spoilers if this stuff turns out to be true. This is also made as if the havoc marauder set doesn't exist, because it's integral to any bad batch wave. Spoiler Microfighters: V-wing ($9.99): V-wing pilot -v-wings are seen on kamino in the trailer. Republic Shuttle ($9.99): Shock Trooper. -Republic shuttles are seen prominently in the trailer. Shock Troopers are desirable figures and seen in the shuttle, so they add value. Havoc Marauder vs zygerrian starfighter ($9.99): Hunter (helmet) and Zygerrian pilot. -havoc marauder is obviously present, and there are some starfighters that look like blocky versions of the phantom I'm presuming are zygerrian. Hunter seems to be the main character of the show and Omega's surrogate "dad" (the dad batch lol). Battle Packs: Elite Corps troopers ($14.99): 2x clone troopers, 2x elite corps troopers (one has a flamethrower). Build is a small speeder transport. -the elite corps are shown heavily in the first trailer, as well as their captain, speculated to be crosshair. Kamino clones ($14.99): 2x kamino clone troopers, 2x clone trooper (basic red tunics, no armor). Build is a lunch table with a plate-launching feature. -many scenes are shown on kamino, and their appears to be some sort of lunchroom fight with the plainclothes troopers. No duel, as I haven't seen any evidence one will happen. instead the $20 spot is taken by this set: Speeder duel ($19.99): Imperial BARC, hunter's speeder, and a market stall. Comes with 1x elite corps trooper, 1x hunter (plainclothes), and Fennec Shand. -Hunter's speeder theft at a market is heavily shown in the trailers, and Fennec Shand appears to be on the same planet in some trailer shots. System sets: Shadowy Shootout ($29.99): A landing platform build with crates containing blasters and explode features. Comes with 2x clone troopers, Hunter (plainclothes), and wrecker (plainclothes). -some sort of fight on a misty landing platform is shown in both trailers, including wrecker's somewhat amusing plainclothes. Zygerria dragon fight ($49.99): Large buildable zygerrian dragon with some scrap terrain. Comes with Tech, Hunter, Rex, and 2x zygerrians. -Rex is shown with the batch on some scrapyard planet where they fight zygerrians...and a dragon. Testing the Batch ($59.99): Large build of the test citadel build with functions for the changing panels and terrain, as well as the viewing area. Comes with Echo, Wrecker, Crosshair, and 3x dark trooper prototypes. -the test is one of the most prevalent trailer scenes. Imperial Shuttle ($89.99): Imperial colors for the republic attack shuttle with 2x clone pilot, Moff Tarkin, Crosshair (imperial), 1x shock captain, 1x clone officer, and 2x shock trooper. -The shuttle is shown in the trailers with Tarkin and his shock troops. Havoc Marauder ($109.99): A repainted sand blue Havoc Marauder (over 1000 pieces, has an interior cockpit, gun turrets, and interior control room) with Hunter, Tech, Wrecker, Echo, Omega, a Gonk droid, and Captain Rex. -Again, Havoc Marauder's presence in the show is obvious. Helmets: Hunter ($69.99) Tech ($69.99) Imperial Crosshair ($69.99) UCS/MBS: UCS Havoc Marauder ($349.99): Massive Havoc Marauder (dark bluish gray) with full interior. Comes with Hunter, Wrecker, Crosshair, Tech, and Echo (all in bad batch uniforms). Quote
Per_SW Posted May 5, 2021 Posted May 5, 2021 Trying to avoid spoilers, but I hope the Bad Batch show opens the door for more shiny phase 2 Clones to be produced, it seems ridiculous that the last time we had one was the single microfighter Juggernaut driver. Other random ideas after seeing the first episode include: Spoiler - a new V-Wing - something including a young Saw Gerrera, depending on how prominent his role will be - Shock Troopers - maybe a set based on Kamino (brig, mess hall, training ground, hangar, medical facility, you choose) - unlikely because of order 66, but something from the beginning of the episode on the snowy planet with young Kanan Quote
Batman1 Posted May 5, 2021 Posted May 5, 2021 I would really love to see some more sets based on the bad batch after seeing the first episode Hoping we will also see some more PT Jedi like Depa Billaba, Oppo Rancisis and Yarael Poof. I don’t know other people feel, but I would love to see an updated Plo Koon (new mould), Kit Fisto (new mould) and Shaak Ti (non CW face print). Quote
The Stud Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 (edited) So 2023 is the 20th Anniversary of Lucasfilm Animation and I had the fun idea of concocting a hypothetical wave Lego could release to coincide with that occasion. This hypothetical wave would have eight sets based off TCW, Rebels, Resistance and The Bad Batch. (Sorry CW ‘03 and Forces of Destiny fans!) The Clone Wars: AT-TE ($100): An updated version of the 2013 set. This would be depicting the Battle of Yerbana from TCW S7 so a little barricade from that scene could also be included. The figures would include Obi-Wan Kenobi [the dirt printing version], Commander Cody [New!], x2 212th Clone Troopers [New!], and x2 Battle Droids. Captain Rex’s Y-Wing Fighter ($60): Figures would include Captain Rex [New!], ARC Trooper Jesse [New!], a 332nd Trooper and R3-37 [New!]. Separatist Shuttle ($40): A remaster of the original set. This one would be somewhat based off of that Season One pirate arc. Figures would include Count Dooku [slightly updated from 2013], Hondo Ohnaka [New!] and two Battle Droids. Rebels: The Ghost ($130): The flagship set of the wave and a better version than what Lego put out in 2014. This one would be more in scale with the 2019 Falcon. Figures would include Blind Kanan Jarrus [slightly updated from the 2017 figure], General Hera Syndulla [New!], Season 3 or 4 Sabine Wren with Darksaber [New!], Season 3/4 Zeb Orellios [New!] and Season 4 Captain Rex [New!]. The Phantom II ($30): A remake of the 2017 Phantom to go with the newly scaled Ghost. This time around, figures would include Seasons 3/4 Ezra Bridger [New!], Grand Admiral Thrawn [New!] and Chopper [slightly updated from his last appearance]. Twilight of the Apprentice ($20): A small duel set in line with the Starkiller Base, Mustafar and soon Mandalore sets put out in the last few years. This one would recreate a small portion of the Malachor temple and include the coveted Sith Holocron. The minifigures would include Darth Vader [New!] and an updated Rebels Ahsoka Tano [New!] Resistance: The Fireball ($50): A build of The Fireball around the same size as the 2021 X-Wing. Figures would include Kaz Xiono [same figure from 2019 but with new helmet piece], Jerec Yeager [New!], Commander Pyre [New!] and CB-23 [New!] The Bad Batch: It’s a little hard to think of any ideas right now. We’re only one episode in right now and by the time my hypothetical wave would be designed, Season 2 will already be done. So I guess I’ll just go with this: V-Wing Starfighter ($30): The set would be an updated version of the 2014 set. Figures would include Bad Batch Crosshair [New!], an Imperial Clone Pilot [New!] and an astromech droid [New!] Edited May 6, 2021 by The Stud Quote

wesker Posted May 15, 2021 Posted May 15, 2021 ^ Same here. I hope AOTC as a whole gets some decent attention next year for its 20th anniversary. Not expecting a full wave of sets like in 2013 but at the very least I'd like to see: Kaminoan minifigures released through the Bad Batch series Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter as one of the cheap mid-range vehicles in the winter wave Bounty Hunter Pursuit remake Geonosis Arena as the next MBS set Young Owen & Beru minifigures released through the Disney+ Obi-Wan series Quote

Alex_South Posted May 19, 2021 Posted May 19, 2021 (edited) Future Bad Batch Set Predictions: 70$ Imperial Attack Shuttle (Dark repaint of Republic Attack Shuttle) at same scale and similar build as Bad Batch Shuttle with 3 Elite Squad Troopers and space for crosshairs inside. 20$ Imperial V-wing with clone pilot and droid (Scale comparable with modern A-wing builds) 40$ Rex's Y-wing with Rex and Omega. I predict this will be a downsized build from the CW Y-wing (to scale with modern X-wing and Tie builds) with Rex as pilot and Omega will be in the bubble turret which would work perfectly since she will probably have the short legs and won't be able to sit, which would explain not giving her space in the shuttle. It's been many years since any of these vehicles have had a modern release and it seems like decent speculation to assume that Rex would still be flying around in the Y-wing. Both Rex and the Y-wing would fit with the Ahsoka Vs Maul set and with the 501st battlepack so the minifigure and ship would service multiple shows and eras. It also seems like the new imperial army will be using the V-wing primarily since it has sort of a prototype tie-fighter wing shape. We will see if any of it happens but I would place money on seeing these sets. Edited May 19, 2021 by Alex_South Quote

ARC2149Nova Posted May 23, 2021 Posted May 23, 2021 After acquiring last year's AT-AT, I found myself missing some Clone War-era walkers. Here's some ideas: AT-OT ($119.99): A much beefier release compared to the OG 2009 version. Troop complement of 20, and cockpit space for 2. Aayla Secura, Commander Bly, 327th Trooper x2, Clone Pilot, Super Battle Droid x2. UT-AT ($129.99): Not quite sure why this still hasn't been done. IIRC, there was a prototype made, but I could be wrong. Commander Bacara, Clone Gunner, Galactic Marines x3, Battle Droid x2. AT-TE ($119.99): While the 2013 one is essentially perfect, I'd argue for a new one. Commander Cody, Clone Gunner, 212th Trooper x2, Super Battle Droid x2, Crab Droid. Quote

The vehicle was in Revenge of the Sith for half a second in a nothing scene, 99% of the audience didn't notice it and wouldn't know what it is if you showed them a picture. Sure, a prototype was made, but they probably left it as a prototype for that exact reason. It's too big and costly so it would be at a high price, and nobody would recognize it enough to shovel over that much money Quote

Furthermore sets like the AT AP got only slightly more screen time and had multiple sets, while sets like the B Wing had multiple sets at times when they only had minor appearances. I am biased though as I would really like a UT AT set. The prototype emerged around the early CW era as images show 2009 clone gunners on the set, I wonder if the vehicle was supposed to make an appearance in TCW but never made it hence why the prototype was cancelled. There's an unfinished deleted scene on the Force Awakens blu-ray with a speeder chase that features a couple of them, which would have justified it being made. Probably one where Lego went with the design before it was cut from the film (barring its blink and you miss it appearance in the background of one shot) Edited May 24, 2021 by V-2929 punctuation Quote

With the case of the FO Scout Walker, it was based on concept art for The Last Jedi that never made it through to the final cut, much like Kylo Ren's grey vertical-winged shuttle. Sets like the AT-AP, Droid Gunship, Turbo Tanks, and Catamaran were done to recreate the battle of Kashyyyk, which is by far the most prominent ground battle in the prequel films aside from Geonosis and maybe Utapau, both of which can be recreated through the various gunship and AT-TE sets that have been put out over the years. The AT-OT was a case of lego needing something for their dropship to carry, and having put out an AT-TE just one year prior, they went with the next closest thing and made the dropship compatible with the AT-TE as well. They were most likely designed around the same time because of this compatibility, but lego probably figured the AT-TE would sell better on its own than with the dropship since that set ended up being $250. I would go so far as to say the AT-OT is only really known because of that set, and had they released just an AT-OT it would not sell very well. Quote
