Who is responsible for the renaissance of Fabuland?

Ah, this is an easy one. There are two answers: Hinckley and I.

Hinckley, obviously, because he built many fine Fabuland MOCs way before I did, along with Fabuland Housewives.

But let's not forget me. I guess it depends on what you mean by Renaissance. Hinckley's lovely MOCs were more official looking, and mine were more intricate and detailed (well, the outside anyway. Hinckley's buildings always had such wonderful details. ) So my MOCs were kind-of a "re-birth" of the official looking ones. .

That's were I stand. Plus, we were the first two members of the guild. And I made the FBG group on flickr, though I'd give 100% of the credit for starting the guild to Hinckley.

Me. When I first came here I saw Hinckley's 'Lord of the Fabulands" and put in my sig, that I would usurp his rule and take the throne. But before IS posted the guild, I thought of FFG, (Fabuland Fighters Guild) but I had to wait for my walrus to come. I be's very sad. Oh well.

I'm actually really surprised, since the recent flood of Fabuland MOCs came directly after this one: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/54676

Renaissance...meaning "re-birth", and that MOC totally re-invented detailed Fabuland houses/MOCs.

Sinner does have the Walrus sigfig, and it's a classic sigfig here on EB, but I don't know. The only choices I could fathom as re-inventing the theme are Hinckley first, then me second.

I actually do blame them for telling me I was too old to play with Fabuland anymore and not allowing me to get anymore only a couple of years after they were re-released in the States. Release, discontinued, re-released and then disallowed. I let the last few years of Fabuland slip by without adding any of the cool new pieces to my collection.

I honestly think that has, at least, a little to do with my desire to buy up the world's supply of Fabuland...
