CopMike Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 ehhh..... I marked the NO-box and YES went up in the lead with 100% votes out of 1! :/ Quote
agrotic Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 The YES vote is mine ;) Copmike, did you click the 'Vote' button or the 'View the results' one ? Quote
CopMike Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 I think the Vote-buttom. It says: You have already voted in this poll Quote
HJR-Holland Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 If this deathstar was the final set with old gray I would have bought a couple, but in new grey I'm not very keen in buying one. But then again, I'm much more into minifig sized SW-LEGO sets than the UCS stuff anyway... Quote
snefroe Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 i think there's a lot of opportunity here to customise the set. TLC basically provided us with with the general picture, we can easily work from that point and turn it into a real UCS... i still don't know if i'm going to buy this set, tough... Quote
MattZitron Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 If I could afford to order it, let alone PRE-Order it, I'd be a happy bunny. Quote
OOM-30 Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 I will not pre order it, but maybe in a year or so I will get it. It really depends on my parents. They got me a whole bunch of sets for christmas(Including Star Destroyer, Tantive IV, and Darth Maul bust :-D) Quote
snefroe Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 i'd like to see the inventory of the death star first. if i'd buy this, i'll surely never assemble it, but use the parts for MOC's instead. Quote
Jipay Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 I cannot afford it. I will buy the isd soon (after 2 years of hope, my wife finally agreed) and the DS is on the 'next to buy' list, but not before one year or 2, just before the licence ends. :) I like the set, but I think i still have time to buy it. And I have to save to go to billund this summer :-D Quote
erikutt Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 i really want it but i have no need of it scinse i maily build castle Erik Quote
The Middleman Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 i really want it but i have no need of it scinse i maily build castleErik It'll come with tons of blocks and plates in the new gray. It's the first real light blue-gray partspack. You'll need that for castles, eh? Quote
Precious Jazz Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 I voted no. The shipping price for Australia is too expensive plus a lot of the S@H exclusives are usually released at K-Mart the following year at a cheaper price. Quote
The Middleman Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 Nope. I'm waiting for a discount. Quote
erikutt Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 well perhaps but its just that i dont need the plats Erik Quote
Darkkazmo Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 Nope, I won't pre-order it. Even if I can afford one, I'd rather get a second ISD. Quote

I thought it never showed up in stores. Maybe it's not the same in ausi land *wacko* Quote
Bricks0937 Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 im gunna go with NO. the only UCS star wars i have is the Yoda statue. I'm a System kinda guy. but if i see it on sale, it might cross my mind. Quote
David85 Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 ehhh..... I marked the NO-box and YES went up in the lead with 100% votes out of 1! :/ It's rigged!!! No one here had anything to do with recent elections did they. :) I voted no because the set sucks. I'm sorry but it does, it's just a big ugly looking ball that could have and should have looked better. There is no need for that many grey plates, there is no reason to realease the set except to suck Star Wars fans up. Quote

There is no need for that many grey plates, there is no reason to realease the set except to suck Star Wars fans up. I don't know how it could have been better. I mean it is just a big grey ball. Should it have little flowers around it, or should it be more colourful? Oh, I know, it should have been mini-fig scale! That would be cool. Quote
David85 Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 Well that's what I mean, it's a big ugly ball, but the Lego version looks too bricky, my running joke, and not round enough. I mean Lego has made all these new round pieces, an dnow we have a ball and they don't use them. :) I would have loved some small playsets that would connect together to form important parts on the Death Star 2. Quote
mutley777 Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 will this set get a pre order discount like the star destroyer did? i hope so! Quote
xwingyoda Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 Pretty cool that they changed the date!!! I still need the ISD and the sets from ROTS (and to clear some space for all that :-D !!). For those who can't wait for this DSII: wait you need before buying you can (he, he). Quote
mutley777 Posted February 27, 2005 Posted February 27, 2005 i was in my local lego store today and they only had 1 star destroyer today in the whole shop. normally they have loads! maybe this is the end of the ISD :( . i'm just glad that i got mine. Quote
Jipay Posted February 27, 2005 Posted February 27, 2005 ok, this is time for me to order mine :) Quote
