The Middleman Posted April 8, 2005 Posted April 8, 2005 Jeez, am I the only one around here that lists their birthday? I keep having to ask people. Quote
Orlego Posted April 9, 2005 Posted April 9, 2005 If this has been posted I will close the topic... Last time I knew the Death Star had a release date set for sometime in September. According to the official Lego Life Newsletter, the Death Star will arrive on August 1. :D Quote
xwingyoda Posted April 9, 2005 Posted April 9, 2005 Orlego, that would be indeed great news ;) I think its not for the month in advance but for the reasons: could thid means it makes way for a whole new batch of SW sets (ROTS and OT) for september??? One could only hope ;) Quote
The Middleman Posted April 9, 2005 Posted April 9, 2005 Maybe the rumored V-Wing will be part of the winter line? Anyway, I don't know about DSII in August. Although, that does put it up in time for my birthday... :-D Still, with Vikings, it'll push a lot of summer budgets. Quote
snefroe Posted April 9, 2005 Posted April 9, 2005 maybe you can pre order in august, but actual release, as mentioned on the lego website, is 30th september. that's good thinking, by the way... it will most likely launch the second star wars line of the year... Quote

September isn't a typical release date for SW, is it? As far as I remember, that's been HP territory for a while. And the Sandcrawler is coming in July, from what we've heard, so it's not leading a charge (or at least, the full charge) of new SW sets. Quote
snefroe Posted April 9, 2005 Posted April 9, 2005 high season in Europe starts in september... i'm sure TLC will try and get the most out of star wars before years end... the vikings will arrive in summer... the current star wars line isn't even here yet and we're already April. i don't think TLC can set up another star wars line in May, June, July or August... the newspage of eurobricks also says we can expect star wars sets in october... Quote
The Middleman Posted April 9, 2005 Posted April 9, 2005 Ohhh, that would work... V-Wing and Ultimate Space Battle in October - the Coruscant space battle, minus the ARC! Quote
sam89 Posted April 9, 2005 Posted April 9, 2005 Any news of the Sandcrawler in that newsletter? ;) Quote
Orlego Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 Any news of the Sandcrawler in that newsletter? ;) What Sandcrawler??? ;) Quote
Orlego Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 the current star wars line isn't even here yet and we're already April. We have all the new Episode 3 sets here in the US. We received them all last Saturday. :D Quote
Orlego Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 maybe you can pre order in august, but actual release, as mentioned on the lego website, is 30th september Maybe, but the newletter stated "Release Date August 1". If it was a pre-order they say "Pre-order". We use this info to pass along to our customers in case someone asks and it has not been wrong yet. And the word is out about the "Unconfirmed set". People as about it everyday. :-D ;) Quote
snefroe Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 perhaps there's a difference in release dates between us and europe? Quote
xwingyoda Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 perhaps there's a difference in release dates between us and europe? That wouldn't surprise me at all Quote
snefroe Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 now that we're talking about releases... i was a bit surprised by Yoda's news, saying that dinos will be available in Europe... Makes you wonder why TLC set up two lines (vikings in europe/dinos in US) in the first place... Quote
xwingyoda Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 now that we're talking about releases... i was a bit surprised by Yoda's news, saying that dinos will be available in Europe... Makes you wonder why TLC set up two lines (vikings in europe/dinos in US) in the first place... Yep I was really surprise by this *wacko* BUT bear in mind that info is to keep on the conditional, its only a rumor for now. What happened is that I discussed with the Lego rep in a huge department store and we were discussing future Lego sets available in shops. She told me that they WOULD (conditional again) receive a new dino line at the end of the year. So here are my two interogations: 1) Is this really true 2) Is the dino line, the crappy DINOs we saw (and were meant to the US market) or a new adventurers dino line (like the biplane we saw). Meditate on this I should ;) EDIT: I've put the conditional in bold ;) Quote
