The Middleman Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 If that's so, I hope we get Vikings at the end of the year. EQUALITY! Besides, then we'd get SALES on them. :-D Quote
xwingyoda Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 I really hope that whole different sets/different zones is dropped because it is real BS and totally unfair ;) Quote
The Middleman Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 Yeah, it would separate the community and create tons of bad feelings. Quote
chewie Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 i sure hope it changes too cause we get the megablocks dino crap and you lucky guys get the vikings hmmph :'( well hopfully it will change and we will get the vikings EDIT: i think i posted in the wrong place :$ Quote

It's not going to switch. They think they're appealing to the European 'classic' market and the American 'violent, futuristic' market. Quote
xwingyoda Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 Another stupid decision by TLC. In billund, investigate on this Iwill ;) Quote
chewie Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 true so true them violent americans and us non violent Canadians i cant speak for europe ;) well that makes me happy thought cause i have always liked viking shtuff :-D Quote
xwingyoda Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 Talking about violence, its kind of funny because those two themes represent violence: Crappy alpha team megablocks shooting mutant dinos into oblivion on one side and; Barbaric vikings destroying, pillaging, raping villages with iron weapons. So why discreminate into zones, the whole world is violent *wacko* Quote
The Middleman Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 Well, modern violence. LEGO has recently refrained from giving us guns. Quote
xwingyoda Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 Well, modern violence. LEGO has recently refrained from giving us guns. True but its not very easy to go dino hunting with a sword :-D Quote
snefroe Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 i think yoda's news simply was the result of a badly informed employee. the catalogue clearly says we're going to get the Vikings in Europe and we really have no indication coming from TLC that they've changed the decision. There's no indication that we're going to see some sort of a revival of the dino adventure theme either. it would in fact contradict other statements from TLC. Quote

True but this employee is the lego rep of the department store which is in direct relation with Lego France, so WHERE is the truth???? I guess we'll see in a distant future ;) Quote
snefroe Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 according to this, fall 2005: http://www.hccamsterdam.nl/brick/ncatalog/index.htm Quote
jindroush Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 From what I've heard, europe may get the Dinos too, but slightly modified, without the guns (or with smaller ones or whatever). But no Adventurers Dinos this year. Quote
The Middleman Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 Where have you heard that jindroush?? That's one thing you should never ask on Eurobricks - we may not want to know, and we definitely don't want LEGO to know. ;) Quote

The Middleman Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 It is interesting, though - they're emasculating the DINO sets for Europe? Weird. Quote
mutley777 Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 i don't know if anyone has already spotted this but the death star price is up and it is big. :oo Quote
xwingyoda Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 Or none at all considering its an exclusive set :'( Quote
Jipay Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 nothing to do with the actual topic : still no msn ? I think the first time there was a discount with the isd becaiuse they didn't know if the set was goig to sell well or not Quote
mutley777 Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 i would say that there is more risk with this set than the ISD Quote
