Posted June 9, 200816 yr Yes! I am finally done sorting my bricks! After 1 hard month of non-stop sorting, I have finished! Here are the results. Now I don't have to worry about finding a 1x1 in a huge bucket! Enjoy! P.S. This will be my last post for about 3 weeks as I will be on vacation. See you guys in a few weeks!
June 9, 200816 yr Wow! That's awesome! I tried sorting my bricks, but instead I made a bigger mess than I already had in the beginning. Edited June 9, 200816 yr by Scyzoryk
June 10, 200816 yr Congratulations! I know what a challenge sorting can be. This is definately a big achievement. I have trouble sorting all my Lego, and that's only into colour. Really, great job, and what a collection you have! By the way, where'd you get those storage drawers? I can't seem to find any here. ~Peace

I thought that these looked and worked the best for me.
June 10, 200816 yr Nice labels. Those drawers look like the Stack-on sets available in many stores. I use the same things, five of the gray ones that you have on the left. Interestingly, the Lego Education site sells these Stack-on drawers too and says that they're their own preferred choice, although their prices are ripoffs compared to what you would find in retail stores.
June 11, 200816 yr I use the same drawers for my LEGO too. Great job sorting and labeling. Now for the MOCing! I have found the clear Plano fishing tackle boxes (Walmart/Kmart) really nice to use as well and they can be set on end easily for storing on a shelf. Best of luck to all the sorters out there.
June 11, 200816 yr I’m awed you’ve managed to do it so well so quickly, I doff my cap to your God-like sorting abilities
June 11, 200816 yr Wow, what a brick collection! Quite expansive to buy so many storage boxes! Well done! Good job! When I read "red/white/blue tiles" in one box, it automatically reminded of the French flag. The European soccer championship is in progress. Are you subconsciously supporting the French team? *just kidding*
June 11, 200816 yr Great work I'm really jealous of people like you, not only because of the big collections, but also to have the discipline to sort (and keep it sorted). June 12, 200816 yr Great job you have done there. i know how long it take to sort like that and i still have more to do. my only worry is that when i have sorted it all and finally get around to moc'ing i will be tempted to chuck bits into a "to be sorted later" pile when taking things apart again....
June 13, 200816 yr it looks great! ive seen a lot of sorting techniques, but yours is very specific, like a drawer for B-ball legs. very good!
June 13, 200816 yr Nice job! I just bought some storage containers for lego.. I need to start sorting. They are great, but the seperaters cost a fortune. 40$ for two different sets.
June 16, 200816 yr Good job! Reminds me that I must pick up more sorting drawers if I'm going to have any hope of sorting all the unopened sets I have waiting for me in Trondheim for when I return after the summer <t Or the Dutch team of course Or the Norwegian team! No wait, we didn't qualify, yay! (not too fond of football, and it's bad enough here in Oslo as it is, if Norway were in the European Cup it would probably be unbearable (and yes, I know the "flag" on his drawer couldn't possibly be considered Norwegian, I just felt like "following the flow" with a football-related post ))
June 18, 200816 yr Good job! I've also been sorting for a wile now, stil not ready but I need some storage boxes . ps. We, the Dutchmen, are kicking your megablocks!
