Posted June 10, 200816 yr Hello all! The pseudonym is Nich Artri! I'm from the states, but I came accross this forum while looking through the Brickarms threads. I'm actually somewhat of a regular there. I like making custom minifigs, particularly soldiers from throughout time, anything steampunkish, and seaplane pirates. As such, I make custom decals when the need arises and I hope to post a few designs here. Well then, enough blabbing from me; glad to meet you all!
June 10, 200816 yr Welcome to EB! Looking forward to seeing your creations, especially the seaplane pirates sound interesting

I'm looking forward to seeing some of your custom figs, and decals. Also, whenever I hear about the term "seaplane pirates", (Which BTW isn't that often. ) I always think of the Disney cartoon show called Spin Tales. On another note, what official Lego themes are you into? -Tarfful

June 11, 200816 yr I think it might have been Duck Tales in Australia?! not sure...memory foggy... I think what he's referring to is TaleSpin, which was a show with Baloo from the Jungle Book.
June 12, 200816 yr Author Thanks one and all! Also, whenever I hear about the term "seaplane pirates", (Which BTW isn't that often. ) I always think of the Disney cartoon show called Spin Tales. While I did watch that show when I was smaller, I didn't really get into seaplane pirates until I saw the Hayao Miyazaki film Porco Rosso. Being it came out earlier than Tale Spin, I think Disney may have ripped it off! XD On another note, what official Lego themes are you into? Well, I like the Adventurers, Pirates, Ninja (when they had these three still available) and Star Wars themes. :) Welcome aboard Nich Arti, Im looking forward to some Seaplane Pirates stuff too! YAr seaplane of the starboard bow! lol...hmmm I'm not sure if that seaplane is going to be effective at looting anything besides a few barnacle beds. ;)
June 12, 200816 yr Hello and Welcome, hope you have a great time here. By the way Disney didn’t rip off Porco Rosso they mealy borrowed the key concepts like most cartoons Phil Silvers = Top Cat etc.
