Hello! Here is my new MOC - a recreation of a legendary Bitish 3-wheeler! It has plenty of features: driving by XL motor, steering by Servo motor, 2-speed gearbox with a M motor for switching gears (actually, there is no big difference in speed), working front and rear suspension (independent in front and live axle in the rear just like in the real car), working headlights and tailights, openable bonnet with a working fake I4 engine under it, doors with rubber band loaded locks, openable trunk with a lock (there is a lot of space for different types of luggage), detailed interior and a working steering wheel. It also has custom number plates from the TopGear show. :) The model weighs around 2 kg, so it can't do a roll, but it still performs pretty good for its weight. I hope you will like it! :D

Apart of great look and features, it is such a funny car to drive in real live. I have seen it in Top Gear when Jeremy was rolling over every turn he took :D

It looks so nice! It just needs a "Clarkson" figure driving.

Thanks! That is exactly what it needs! As well as strapping it to a rocket. :D

Beautiful :)
Although I would have preferred the older "This time next year we'll be millionaires" version, this newer and slicker one has it's own charm, even more when sliding on it's side :)

Frontpaged, and few more goodies for your EB profile

Thank you! I appreciate it a lot. :)

I was suggested to make the version from “This time next year we’ll be millionaires” once, but I don’t have that much yellow parts, so I decided to make the one from TopGear. :)

Hi,
lovely recreation of this British icon! It brings back many memories of top gear, and when they tried to race a reliant against a taxiing jumbo jet...

Thanks! I’m glad it has brought some good old TopGear memories. :)

Great looking model of a British classic. I think it’s good you made a standard car rather than doing the Only Fools and Horses one. If you want to do another British classic 3 wheeler look for a Bond Bug. It has nothing to do with James Bond though.

Nice work! Can you build a space shuttle next? :P

Thanks! Well, that will require a couple of orders with white parts. :D

I love how you adapted the steering mechanism into a Lego form. It simply looks great!

Are you planning on doing a Reliant Kitten next?

I don't think there is such a thing... Maybe a reliant Batman? :D

Also really love how you managed to taper the front slightly to truthfully recreate the body shape!

Thank you! Indeed, it was pretty hard to fit a working steering wheel with an engine near it.
Maybe even make a bunch of Reliants to have a race with them... :D

A Reliant Kitten is a 4 wheel version of a Robin, it uses the same base chassis but has a car layout so 2 wheels at the front and because of that is slightly wider at the front.

Oh. I need to brush up on my old car knowledge!
