You just don't hear enough about them. Nice cars, with some excellent models, and they remind me of the Hot Wheels I used to play with when I was a bit younger. But no one seems to like them very much, or at least doesn't mention it. But with some honesty, without any other TT likers, it makes me feel a tiny bit left out and not in the mood to buy that awesome Brick Street Customs  . So, if anyone else likes TT's, here's your chance to talk about them if you even want to.

And my first "on" statement:

TINY TURBOS ON!!!!!!

Well, I dont think people hate them, it's just that most people take them apart for parts, because they come with some cool parts, like the glow in the dark sabres....

Staudie.

I think AFOLs aren't so keen on them because they're not minifig scale. I bet kids love 'em.

I also think everyone would agree that they're great parts packs, especially for the small slopes. I bought Tuner Garage just on a whim on-sale and the piece selection is fantastic.

Incidentally, anyone in the UK should buy 8154 Brick Street Customs NOW as it is insanely priced at 35 pounds for 1021 pieces. (The Australian price is $120 and for Europeans, it's 70 Euro - not so good). In fact, it's the same price in pounds as last year's Bullet Run, which is only 796 pieces  .

I do like tiny turbos and have most of the individual vehicles sitting on my shelf. They're handy to display being so much smaller and taking up less room.

As already mentioned they also have great parts, the only trouble is that they do start to look very similar after a while.

Some of the larger sets are great at sale prices. A surefire way to boost your parts collection.

I actually like them and I think Lego has made the right decision to bring Hot-Wheels like cars.

They offer the same playability like Matchbox cars do with the extra that you can build something completely different with them.

And of course you can build the smaller cars in the bag!

Yes, Tiny Turbos ON!

*raises hand*

I also like the TTs. So far I own, well, all of them actually, including the bigger sets. And despite how small they are, when owning all they become a considerable fleet of cars that needs their fair share of space. The bigger sets even more so.

I also like the fact that the set "Bridge Chase"'s gas station is mini-fig scale, despite being a humble 16x16 studs large. Makes it more flexible.

So a direct answer to your question, would be yes. :classic:

I've gotten a lot of them in the past.

Especially when they go on sale, Ive bought many multiples for the parts.

This year though, Only felt the need to get two of them, for a pair of glow lightsabers, and a pair of glow wedges. Aside from that not too inspiring parts...

Also, this year the individual sets dont have any of the nice big truck wheels(which work well in minifig scale), 3/4 are shiny hubcap ones, and only 1 had the slick racer wheels.

Thats really the only thing thats stopping me from buying more Tiny Turbos, the funky shiny 'hotweels' type wheels that are starting to dominate... they dont look good when reused in minifig scale....

Good

And remember, even if they are a lot like Matchbox Cars or Hot Wheels, it doesn't mean TT's are for a younger audience.

Maybe I'll buy em and all Batman this year, unless I succumb to Mars Mission...

I have bought many of them, for the parts. I would buy them for the models as well if they were minifig ones, but unfortuantely Lego seemed to have stopped doing minifig sized racers a while ago. :hmpf_bad:

:skull:
