FreelanceArtist Posted April 11, 2021 Posted April 11, 2021 Hi there! This is my debut publication and let me present to you this Swiss Electric Locomotive, reproduced as faithfully as possible from the SBB Be 4/6 locomotive. This is a minifig-scale model. The model has a removable roof. Inside the model are: two electric motors, transformer, tools (4 pieces), compressor (x2) and a tool suitcase. The set includes a figure of a train driver with a briefcase: Inside the cab Front view New design of pantograph - first variant: ... and second variant: The first variant is not pretty enough, but it allows the pantograph to fold. The second variant is more elegant and plausible, but does not allow the pantograph to fully add up. This model can be motorized with the 1x 8809 and 2 x88013 Powered Up kit. Model info: Length: 50 cm (45 studs), Width: 9 cm (6/7 studs). Total parts: 1140. If you like this model, you can support it on LEGO IDEAS Thank you for your attention! I hope you enjoy this locomotive! Quote
Toastie Posted April 11, 2021 Posted April 11, 2021 Wow, that is a nice locomotive! I can see this one next to the LEGO Crocodile! You also purposely borrowed a few (improved!) design items from the Croc, right? Oh this is so nice. It may be tough on IDEAS though, as the Croc is already pretty much filling that "slot". But: For 6-wide train fans this must be a marvel. It is for me. I would love to see this loco next to my croc for sure. Motorized with PUp ... Very, very nice debut, a very warm welcome joining EB and all the very best! Thorsten Quote
CMF-1138 Posted April 12, 2021 Posted April 12, 2021 That is a sharp looking build -- it captures the prototype nicely and looks like it would fit right in with the 10277 Crocodile. Are the drivers mounted on separate bogies to handle curves? I'm trying to envision how the 2x PU 88013 motors get packaged in while leaving room for the hub and allowing for gear transmission down to the wheels. Quote
HoMa Posted April 12, 2021 Posted April 12, 2021 A very realistic and nice engine you've designed! Thanks for sharing. Quote
Feuer Zug Posted April 12, 2021 Posted April 12, 2021 Well done. Quite a bit of details included. This would pair well with the Crocodile as many have mentioned. Quote

Here's my solution. The design turned out to be complex and requires some adjustments. As for passing the curves, I am not completely sure that the locomotive will pass them without problems...
