One for the UK folk, Zavvi have a decent Lego sale on some of this year's Star Wars sets, including R2 (£140), Bad batch shuttle (£70), Light cruiser (£120) and older sets like the falcon (£510) after discount and the £10 off Lego code.

That is probably the lowest you will ever find a brand new UCS falcon in the UK if you dont have one already.  I thought I got a steal at £550 from Smyths when I got mine

So there is an image of what is suspected to be the UCS AT-AT design. It looks suitably massive, probably minifig scale (yay)

it’s the one I have been really waiting on this year so I’m quite excited to get a glimpse. You can see on the inside of the legs some of the connection but it’s not clear enough to work out exactly what parts are used to make it stable enough to hold. Might be movable and not static.  Something to speculate on at least

Do you mean the image from the Skywalker Saga Trailer with the snow landscape? If yes, is it really a possible leak? I personally doubt that but maybe that kind of leaks happend in the past with other games?!?

I don't think the Skywalker Saga AT-AT is going to be the UCS version. The Skywalker Saga AT-AT looks just like an upscaled 2020 AT-AT with very little added detail from the larger scale, even some of the colouring is in the same places but with just larger bricks. I hope that the UCS version looks better than that.

Agreed. It looks large but considerably bland with the outside details. I highly doubt this is what the final model will look like.

As much as it doesn't look particularly thrilling, what are the expectations for the AT-AT exterior? I mean, other than some vents and such, it really isn't much more than a large grey box with legs and a head, and the details on these legs at least definitely don't look too bad. (This is coming from someone who likes the AT-AT)

I would say it depends on how much interior it has.  If it's mostly just a skeleton inside, the exterior of the main body will probably be pretty boring.  I assume the "head" will open up for sure and probably fit at least 2, maybe 3-4 figures.  I could see the body panels flipping open on the side to store a speeder or have a winch, but if the interior needs to mostly be a Technic skeleton in order to actually support the thing, it probably will just be panels without much.

If anyone's ever seen richboyjhae's AT-M6 (fun fact, I actually got to meet him and that model at a convention, he had rebel friend on top of it), I'm imagining the interior will be done like that at a smaller scale, with interior segments hidden by panels, but not a full interior.

Yes, it's not there now. Probably so they can try to fulfill all the existing pre-orders before it sells out on Sept 1st in 5 min.

This is what I'd assume. They want to make sure that they can fufill all the pre-orders, and since they already have some shipping delays and other issues, they just stopped more pre-orders. Id guess they'd have at least some unclaimed copies left to sell september 1st, but I doubt there's as much stock as the average set has left.

 

In other news, that clone flametrooper image from the mobile game (which was cancelled, then apple got ahold of it or something?) is making the rounds again. Don't be fooled, if it was any indication of things to come it would have been in already given how long the image has been floating around.

To my knowledge, Smyth's, Argos, Amazon (I think?) and John Lewis are the only ones I've seen with exclusives.

Just ordered my 2 copies of the Forge from Lego. Was surprised to see that the limit was 5 per person. We'll see how fast it sells out.

Well, we have our first 2022 rumour... Hoth battle pack, and it sounds like a return to form - three regular (snow)troopers, and one specialist (Hoth scout trooper... Is this any different to the regular one?). Interesting that it'll have minifigure stands, and no stud shooters more importantly.

I guess it's time to start a new thread...

According to Promobricks there will be a Hoth-Battlepack coming in January 2022. Three Snowtrooper and one Scout Trooper with bike, E-Web Blaster and normal blasters instead of stud shooter

I need to beef up my imperials, so really looking forward to this battle pack. Also hoping the Hoth Scout trooper looks something like this:

Sounds like a perfect fusion between the battle packs of old and last year’s 501st set. It has the smaller price/size of the former, but the army buildability (yes, I just made that word up) and use of blaster pieces as the latter. I do not want to hear any more “Lego never listens to the fans” nonsense after how great of a job they’ve been doing in recent years and now with this battle pack revitalization.

I assume we’ll be getting some sort of Rebel battle pack to go against this one. I’m relatively excited for this, I’ll probably buy a decent amount of these like I did with the 501st set.

This would be perfect to go with the ucs atat - absolute impeccable timing for once, and a very welcome set. 

I'm concerned though, will there be loads of complaints how the printing is different to previous versions or will people welcome with open arms... 

I already have a minifig scale atat filled with the original snow troopers so I might actually swap out with these new ones if they look good. 

Also, I wonder if these minifigures stands are what appeared in an image before, but were meant to be photoshopped out, and these ones are from a preliminary image where they too haven't been shopped out yet

This does sound good, I hope they have waist capes and backpacks (more interested in the backpacks). Speeder and turret are excellent choices! 

Overall, to me this sounds great, and will probably pick up a few to go with a Hoth scene.
