The amount of detail in that shuttle description is turning my usual grain of salt into a handful. Do leaks of this nature happen much (aside from the minifig details)?

Too much sodium is bad for your heart.

Nuts... having the shuttle as sand blue isn’t terrible, but the part about one wing having studs and the other with anti studs doesn’t make sense. It’s symmetrical, not like the twilight or something.

I think that just refers to the central vertical fin, similar to how it was done with 8096. The wings should be done symmetrically, like previous shuttle-craft. At least that is my interpretation.

Wow. Whole lotta negativity about this set. Sounds totally awesome to me. That many figs, with a lot of visual diversity especially with Crosshair in his Imp gear? Plus a speeder and a Gonk? Arm printing for Echo, new helmet for Tech?

I’ll wait to give up on this set for it being sand blue until I’ve seen it.

Interesting that we are getting an ordinary R2 minifig. If Lego wanted to change anything on an R2 minifig (a chrome head or a third leg), you'd think they do it for this set.

But-but-but-there might be a singular human being who collects Lego Star Wars who somehow hasn’t gotten the original R2 variant that has been in EVERY. FRICKITY. FRACKITY. WAVE!

The figs sound dope I’m sad we’re not getting OG Crosshair but other then that damn. Also a lime green speeder is so weird and different I’m lowkey excited about that. It’s just the sand blue and asymmetrical fin that’s infuriating.

This set sounds awesome to me (and I’m glad the helmet rumour was nonsense), but I’m pretty miffed about Crosshair. It’s just that I liked his design the best out of the entire batch, especially the helmet :hmpf_bad: Why couldn’t they do it Mando-style and give us his OG costume first, followed by the upgrade in a later set. Or maybe that’s the only set they plan on doing

Also quite uncharacteristic of them to include a spoiler like that in a set :laugh_hard:

Meh, I'm not too upset about them not changing the R2 figure.  Realistically, there's no way they could make a retractable 3rd leg at the scale of a minifigure, and having the leg always out would very majorly interfere with play features (like putting the figure into the astromech space in a ship or even just posing him in a neutral position).  Plus, the figure isn't a focal point of the set at all, so people would probably complain either way ("Why are they putting this brand new figure in a $200 set???" or something).  A chrome head would be nice but the pearl silver does it justice, so it's not one of those things that desperately needs an update, at least in my opinion.

In regards to the shuttle, I'll reserve judgement until we get pictures, I guess.  Sand blue sounds weird for sure, but looking at pictures of it, the gray-ish color does have sort of a blue hue to it, so I could see it being okay, sort of like the early 2000s TIE fighters.  A TIE with blue accents sounds really weird, but in practice, it didn't look horrible, so I don't think it necessarily will be bad.  The fin having studs on one side and antistuds on another...not sure on that, though.  It sounds like it'll just be a few wedge plates assembled at a 90 degree angle, presumable with some markings on either side, but I can't really foresee that looking particularly great.

crosshair is the imperial trooper

Thanks. Sounds terrible smh. Might actually give this one a miss, was expecting to grab it but SAND BLUE???

Sand blue had the reverse effect on me. This went from a "eh the figures look cool but I won't care about the build so I'm not shelling out $100" to "the build would be using a rare color and probably introduce a lot of new parts (for that color), maybe I should get it"

Wasn’t there a thing back in like 2015-16 where Lego pretended they were gonna do more disabled figures, made one kid in a wheelchair and then dipped? Would have been an easy PR win and a more accurate figure but ya know one new mold is SOOOOOO expensive

I don't know if "hey look, we've got more disabled guys, this dude has a screwdriver arm" would be a huge PR win. I also don't think they really "dipped", they do have a couple wheelchair figures per year, and not many disabilities require new molds or would show visible differences besides like, changing the color of an arm or leg to represent a prosthetic, which is easy enough to do if someone wants a lego figure with prosthetic limbs. The wheelchair was the only one that was really difficult to represent at minifigure scale without new molds.

I mean,

Spoiler

they probably won't label him crosshair, although anyone with half a brain can figure it out based on him being the only member of the batch not included and the elite corps captain's suspicious resemblance to him.

But this makes me think that either it happens REALLY early on, like in the premiere, or that it's a lot more complicated than we all think it is.

Personally I'm pretty excited for the shuttle now, the figure selection sounds great though I hope BB armor crosshair will show up somewhere eventually, and sand blue is a nice way to make the set unique. There aren't any great shots of the havoc marauder yet, I could totally buy that it's a sand blue in the BB show. Maybe they even give it a paint job or something to differentiate from the empire.

I'm 100% cool with the shuttle being sand blue. I think it's well within the appropriate color range, it's just noce to get a Star Wars vehicle set that isn't a sea of grey every now and then. I'm happy we're still getting all the BB members though I definitely wish Crosshair was in his BB uniform for consistency with the rest of the team and then get his new look in a different set because now there's little chance we'll ever get him in his Clone Wars armor. I still want to know whether Wrecker is getting an additional armor piece to bulk him up or not. It'll be really stupid if he doesn't. I also wish they'd use the special cyborg arm piece from Ultra Agents for Echo.

So, @hawkeye7269 on Brickset is saying we shouldn't "buy into" rumors about a UCS AT-AT this fall. Promobricks confirmed this rumor as true awhile back, though. Any news on that front? I've definitely been buying into the rumor.

I have never heard of that guy. Has he had info or anything in the past?

Not sure, honestly. I asked him to clarify and he hasn't as of yet. This is the first I've seen of anything from him. Could just be trolling...

At this point, several confirmed reliable people have either hinted at or said we're getting the UCS AT-AT, if I'm not mistaken.

Plus, we KNOW it's an $800 price point, and there's only so much they can even do at $800.  The Falcon and ISD are currently on shelves, so those (or any variations, like a Super Star Destroyer) are off the table, which essentially leaves either a massive Death Star (which I think is highly unlikely while the playset version is on shelves, I know they're different, but realistically having two $500+ DS on shelves at once probably isn't a great marketing strategy), and even that I don't know if it would be $800, it'd have to be quite a bit bigger than the version out right now to justify a $300 price increase, and I doubt it's anything MBS because the Cantina will presumably still be on shelves in the fall, so the AT-AT is pretty much the only thing that is both popular enough and large enough to justify an $800 price point.

You’ve obviously forgotten the most requested UCS of all time: Luke’s Landspeeder at 1:250 scale!

I do vaguely recall there being rumors EARLY on that it could be a Death Star remake with a playable set combined with outer shell. As you point out, it's been confirmed by multiple reliable sources, so would be incredibly suspicious of someone that has no reliability at all.

Makes me wonder if it's because of the rumors that took hold a while back since they did retire the UCS Death Star 75159.  I suppose with the track record of 75159 replacing 10188 just a year after 10188 was retired caused this rumor lent credence to it.  I just checked and it's definitely retired now and not being sold online, but could see there being a few still in stores. I lucked out and got one of the last ones online in November when it briefly came back in stock after months of being out of stock.  It soon showed up as sold out after that and now shows retired.

They didn't include it in the cantina, so this HAS To be it

I'm actually not too upset if it does turn out to be sand blue. I love that colour, and it'll make a bit of a change from the vast amount of grey in Star Wars sets (even if it is kinda grey-blue...).

Totally agree, sand blue is great for accents against a sea of light and dark bley, but a lot of standard plates and bricks don't yet exist in that colour. Hopefully this new set contain a lot of sand blue pieces and/or expands the parts selection for this colour.

I recently put together a moc and it asked for a 1x1 Square plate in sand blue. The part cost $6 on bricklink, $6!
I substituted it for a tan piece as it was just off colour detailing anyway and there was no way I was going to bump the cost that much for decoration
