With the bad batch shuttle coming out and with the success of the Razorcrest (I think it's got the most reviews of any other star wars set on amazon and on lego.com right now), you would hope LEGO realizes the value in other main hero ships besides the falcon, like the Ghost. I understand their fear that obscure niche sets from the animated shows wouldn't sell but I think there is a huge market for revisiting the animated shows, an updated Ghost with the whole cast would sell well if they released it. We always get a ton of OT ships. I've been rewatching rebels and it's a tough pill to swallow that LEGO will only ever do one round of sets for that show. Meanwhile X-wings and Tie fighters get a release every odd year.

X-WIngs and TIEs are iconic; people who barely know anything about Star Wars will likely recognise them as being from Star Wars if they see them out of context. Versions of these ships appear in eight of the eleven movies. The Ghost doesn't have that profile, and may not be so attractive to people who aren't such big fans (and, where it's parents buying kits for their kids, it could be that the parents own preferences become a factor). Lots of people who like Star Wars will never have even seen the Ghost. There's also always going to be kids getting into Lego and/or Star Wars who don't yet have those kits. They're never going to stop making X-Wings and TIEs every couple of years as it doesn't make commercial sense to stop making them.

One thing that could be interesting is how Disney+ viewing figures could factor into what they may or may not consider is worth remaking. If you compare it to DVD/blu-ray sales while you'd know how many copies you've sold, you don't have quantifiable evidence of how popular a show is after that sale. Maybe loads of people were regularly rewatching Rebels on DVD, maybe they weren't. At least now they know how many people are watching and rewatching the shows on Disney+, they'll know if certain shows, or even certain seasons, are more popular than others, and this could ultimately start to factor into the merchandising decisions

Obviously there would still be Lego's own take on top of that, as just because something is being watched a lot that doesn't mean that Lego would have any obligation to make kits for those shows again. It may make no difference whatsoever as the licensee rather than the licensor will be deciding what to make, but it's an additional, and potentially valuable, source of market research that could now give an extra level of insight into what could sell.should Lego chose to factor that into their product decisions

For what it’s worth, I recall reading that Rebels has done pretty well on Disney+ and was one of the shows people were most looking forward to binge watching before the service came out. Of course, a Star Wars property being successful doesn’t necessarily mean it gets sets (cough, Jedi: Fallen Order, cough) but the only thing stopping Lego from making more Rebels sets is the fact that they didn’t do too well the first time around, for a variety of reasons.

With any luck, these new Clone Wars and Bad Batch sets coming out this year will do well enough to show Lego that fans want more sets based off the animated content. If we can get obscure ships like the Galaxy’s Edge IT-S Transport at a high price point, surely a decently more recognizable ship like the Ghost could be done.

Also, the Vader Meditation Chamber looks meh to me. The screen with Ozzel and Piett is the coolest part in my opinion, but the inclusion of Vader’s printed arms in this set makes their omission from this year’s Imperial Shuttle even more puzzling. I’m not too disappointed though, as that saves more money for me to spend on all the awesome-sounding Star Wars sets coming out this summer, as well as the new Marvel and Ninjago ones.

All good points, I can still dream though, and if we get more rebels content in future shows then it may increase the audience for Rebels as more people will go back and watch it on Disney Plus

The release of the ITS transport really confused me, and I doubt it's sold all that well. I would bet money that an updated Ghost with the attention to detail that the new Marvel guardians ship got and the entire OG crew would outsell the ITS transport in a heartbeat.

On a side note I didn't realize that the Razorcrest received TOTY award for 2021. I can't fathom why LEGO made this set an amazon exclusive. Also are the rumors true that this set is retiring at the end of the year, that decision would confuse me to no end, considering that you can still buy Vaders castle after what feels like forever.

I think there's a very, very good chance the Ghost will be featured prominently in one of the upcoming D+ live action shows so a new Ghost is pretty much Inevitable.

With the announcement of the first ever LEGO con and the specific nod to LEGO Star Wars, it seems like we're guaranteed to see the new sets by the 26th. Also between this and E3, news about the Skywalker Saga seems inevitable.

Vader's Castle is definitely the exception rather than the rule here. I think the RC is due to be retired by the end of the year, but that'll mean it's had an 18 month shelf life which is pretty ordinary for LEGO sets (especially considering that it, ah, doesn't have a starring role in the show any more...).

I have seen the IT-S on a lot of shelves compared to the other 2020 sets, although I know that doesn't prove it hasn't sold well. It's a shame as I think it looks like a great set - I haven't been able to fit it into my budget yet, but if I see it on discount I may well pick it up.

I wonder if there will ever be another remake of the RC, probably not.

The IT-S is a cool build it just doesn't have much tie in to the universe other than the ride, and not a lot of us get to go do that ride so I have a hard time getting attached to it.

Also I agree that the ghost will likely be a main ship in the ahsoka show @ToaDraco

I really enjoyed building the IT-S. Some really clever build techniques to get all those angles!

Strangely the RC has just started appearing in many stores near me, having never seen the set in any store until now

first-hand observation: Scout trooper's box is a bit slimmer than the other helmet boxes (which are all of the same size), by about 3 cm. Other dimensions of the scout trooper box are the same to other helmet boxes. Not sure about probe droid, I don't have it

I  didn't know that, it is the only helmet box I haven't seen in person, I suppose it is a smaller helmet so that would make sense

I agree, it was a surprisingly fun build with some great techniques .I'm glad I bought it after having it on my "maybe" list for a while.

I ended up getting it for $20 off when Target in the US had a special for buying it same day pickup or same-day delivery to promote their new purchasing system. I would highly recommend it, especially for a discount.

Same here.  Despite its relative obscurity, there are a lot of things I like about that set.  The color scheme, the fun build, the sturdiness of the finished model, how Star Wars-ey it looks...like a close relative of the Blockade Runner.  An unexpected hit for me, and I didn't mind paying full price.

The IT-S is in my growing backlog of stuff to build. We moved cross-country (US) a year ago and I took apart ally sets. Now I am waiting to finish our basement before rebuilding some and the larger new ones I've gotten. Foremost is the Cantina. I can't wait to decorate it for Christmas and other holidays.

I really liked the IT-S Transport as well. I really enjoyed the build process and the few figures it came with were of good quality. Had it not been for COVID postponing my Disney trip last fall, I probably would have gotten this set after actually riding it which would have been a cool experience.

And fingers crossed that The Ghost does end up popping in something else soon. I mean it’s already shown up in Rogue One and The Rise of Skywalker, so it’s only a matter of time until it plays more of a major role in live action.

I seem to remember when this was first leaked that Han Solo was rumoured to be in the Slave I... If this is Mando or BoBF then surely that must be wrong.

LEGO are really going all out with the arm printing though. First Vader, then Din and now this, which looks pretty incredible in all honesty.

New Boba Fett torso has leaked. Based on The Mandalorian rather than the OT and features some pretty detailed arm printing.

I just came here to say that, I know you guys all love a bit of arm printing

I wonder if that’s real or not since I was also under the impression that it was coming with Han... maybe it’s was meant to be OT Boba and they went back and changed the print when he turned up in the show? If it’s real, lego’s really trying to get me to buy yet another slave I...

Wow, new Boba Fett torso looks amazing! It seem Slave I won’t be based on ESB but rather Mandalorian. Good to finally have info on this set!

Mandalorian is a massive IP now so lego won't miss out on a chance to capitalise the market. I agree that this is WAY better than an ESB Slave 1 although we thought han was also coming with it. Now we are unsure of the minifigure choice (It could be a dark trooper or Fennec Shand)

Damn, I would rather have had this Slave I be based of ESB.

Because now I have to think about either purchasing another Slave I or getting ripped off for the new Boba off Bricklink.

The new sets look great especially the Trexler marauder. After seeing all the sets I think I might buy them all on August 1. I think its really cool that they decided to go back and change it since Boba showed up in Mando cause I'm positive I heard from all the leakers it was a OT set with Han.

The leak of Boba is fantastic but I'm happier about how good the Gar Saxon looks. His new helmet mold looks fantastic and the Mando Loyalist also has a great helmet.

Anyone know where the catalog is from?

The characters are Japanese so I'm going to guess Japan.
