Although I was hoping for something Clone Wars S7 based, this does sound nice. However 20 euros? Yikes, battle packs here go for that much already lol

I would imagine they'll be more or less the same as the ones from last year's AT-AT. It doesn't feel like that long ago that they were updated from the one-piece helmet and backpack, but maybe that's just me.

It is well-timed to go with the UCS AT-AT, I hadn't thought of that. I'm going to pour some fuel on the speculation fire here - but if only there was another flagship UCS set on shelves linked to another army-building faction....

Meh. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad that BPs are back, but this is not that exciting of a choice to me  I hope the other one provides something more interesting

This basically confirms a rebel battle pack to go with it… and almost certainly a new snowspeeder too. Keen to see the figures, I’ve been considering doing a Hoth display so this is perfect timing. The most interesting part of the rumour to me is it’s meant to include stands for the figures too… I wonder if this is a case of the stands not being shopped out of the picture the leaker saw like in 2016. Apparently stud shooters are finally out of the picture as well.

20$ is disappointing but I'm excited to finally get some of the new Snow Troopers. I personally think a Rebel one will come out alongside it, however the last few years have shown that BPs don't always have an opposing force so its up in the air as to what it could be (or... this is the only one).

It would have to be a really exciting battle pack to justify 20€. Like arm printing, individual cool prints, etc.

This might be a stretch, but I wonder if a Hoth battle pack coinciding with the UCS AT-AT release points to an interior for the UCS AT-AT. It'd be a great way to cram your Walker full of snow-troopers for (relatively) cheap.

I'm torn, as on the one hand that's definately not canon but on the other hand it'd be a super cool variant.

I actually really like this, it's a solid imperial faction with standard blasters and real builds. I'll definately get at least 2.

My thoughts: This is a pretty solid set. The figure choice is amazing, first of all, with four standard troops and no officers/named characters. The builds are also incredible. Three canon builds that make sense massed and will fit great into a MOC, plus a figure stand! The stand almost makes me wonder if this could be more 18+ styled, like an AT-AT add-on. And of course, ACTUAL BLASTERS! Can someone make a photoshop of some snowtroopers dancing on the stud shooter's grave? Only thing I don't like is, of course, the price. $20 is pretty big for a battle pack, to be sure. But... if the alternative was a pack that was, like, 2 snowtroopers, an at-at pilot, and an officer with a random speeder and stud shooters for $15...I'd prefer the $20. It's more expensive, but this sounds like a lot more of a premium product.

Actually, now that I think about this... The old blasters coming back... The stand... This might actually BE an 18+ add-on.

I think $20 is a bit steep for a BP even with inflation since we're still getting 4 figs and the same piece count (roughly). While I like snow troopers and welcome more army building I feel like it would make more sense to release something more related to the current SW media like clones (CW S7, BB) or imperial remnants (Mandalorian, TBBF). Also, I haven't heard anything about a rebel BP so I wouldn't assume we're getting one since they have done waves with BP's that don't correlate. Nevertheless, I think it's great we're getting a battle pack and hope we get more rumors soon.

I'd hold off on the whole 'stands for figs' thing. Previously in a leaked preliminary pic, (back in 2016 according to Brikky-how on earth he remember a date for something like that!) the stands used to prop up the minifigs in the TLG's online Web sales page (or was it box art imagery, I forget) that usually get photos hopped out, weren't photoshopped out at that point in time and many people believed they were stands being included, but turned out, they weren't, and the preliminary pic was just that-with more editing work yet to be done. So, these may very well be the stands that is being assumed to be included. Which, may have yet to be edited out of the pic whoever it was, saw. 

 

Also, nothing is mentioned about there being three cannon builds, but a single e-Web blaster. But even at that, it certainly does sound a solid set.

I think they meant "canon" not "cannon", as in builds from the SW universe and not something made up.

Happy that battle packs are back!
Super disappointed with the selection, hoped for season 7 of clone wars, the mandalorian, boba fett show or the bad batch show to get a battlepack instead, but with UCS AT-AT it makes sense. 
20$ doesn't seem that bad unless they make a disgustingly oversized vehicles with it like that awfull speeder from 501st and the bad batch shuttle set.
180$ for a platoon ( 4 squads) doesn't seem that bad, add a 160$ AT-AT and you have a decent army for 340$ which is less than 30$ a month if you are doing it in a year.
Might get a few if speeders are accurate, if not i don't really care, snowtroopers are not that interesting.

So glad they are going back to Battle Packs.

This one sounds really great. Regular blasters, display stand for minifigs and a new Trooper variant.

What doesn't sound so great is the price increase. 20€ for 100 pieces and 4 minifigs (3 of them being the same)? Kinda sucks.

There is so much demand for more any type of trooper battle pack, hell even a Mandalorian battle pack is perfectly acceptable

Yet Lego is doing a Hoth Battle Pack which nobody asked for? I don’t really understand how People are defending this since Hoth Troopers are easy to get.

Seems someone else already explained the canon v cannon thing, so I'll keep it to the stands. I remember this, I think it was just dishes on their feet or something though, right? The use of "stand", singular, and also stand as opposed to this, plus the fact that this was leaked by promobricks, who aren't stupid, they can tell the difference between an actual minifigure stand and a preliminary thing.

Though of course I could totally be eating my words in a few months...

I'm glad we're getting more battlepacks and I'm totally fine with $20 if it means the builds are good, proper builds rather than the throwaya trash we usually get. Last year's 501st bp was exactly the right move. I'm also happy to hear about no stud shooters and a minifig stand is very nice. Hoth troopers are perhaps the most boring, bland awful choice but assuming this will be the format for bps moving forward, I'm okay with that. We need more clone bps though, come on LEGO that's what we've literally been begging for...

I agree Hoth Troopers aren't the most exciting, they are already so available it pretty easy to amass a substantial amount without really trying. If one is a commander or something that could be interesting, a speeder bike would be nice if done properly, and the cannon and snow wall sound interesting, depending on how they're done. What would make the set will be the scout trooper if it is done well. Its cheaper than the 501st pack, so I would guess it will be about $35 here in Australia, anything more would be a bit steep.

Battle of Hoth is hands down my favorite Star Wars battle, though I would've preferred Rebels instead. Clones will come, but for now, I think this is a neutral choice for a battle pack "reboot".

Though for $20, 4 figs and an E-Web seems light. Like LITE light. I'd assume we're gonna get the 502nd 74-Z Speeder Bike, Hoth flavor, but even that doesn't seem like enough for the price.

There is also a speeder bike, a snow wall and a rumoured minifigure stand, however it is speculated that could be a photoshop error on a preliminary image. I hope this signals that there will be a rebel battlepack as well.

But for 105 pieces, of which at least 20 will go to figures and weapons and I'd assume at least 12 on the E-web it does seem like a lot

Glad to hear battlepacks are returning. Been ages since we last had a Hoth themed one. Not too keen on the price increase and hoping the Scout Trooper is the same standard version from Endor and the Mandalorian.

I agree that a high-quality, $20 pack with good builds, accurate weapons, and massable figures is better than a $15 pack with random garbage builds, named or non-massable figures, and stud shooters, but I dissent with your view that the hoth troopers are the most bland/boring/awful choice. They're a major force of troops with solid screen time, and it's been 11 years since their last battle pack (which had two of them, an AT-AT driver, and megablocking veers.)

Yeah, the snowtroopers are a great choice.

I'm not sure where this "it's only an e-web" thing came from, but don't worry, it's an e-web, speeder bike, "snow wall" and minifigure stand. Sounds like more than enough parts for $20 one you factor in the 4 figures.

 

Lego Fulcrum seems to be hinting that the snow scout is going to be the figure. It's great to have a new massable figure design in a BP, I guess, though I'm not sure as to the canonicity.

I'll wait for pictures before having a final opinion on the price increase, but the preliminary info doesn't look like it justifies the price with 100 pieces, especially since the increase far outpaces inflation

Having snowtroopers as a battlepack is awesome since they're cool soldiers, but I hope we get more battlepacks with clones or stormtrooper variants. While the aftermarket prices for snowtroopers have and still remain reasonable, the prices for clones and other stormtroopers are astronomical at the moment.

Great to finally see some new rumours, especially the return of battle packs. Maybe it's lockdown brain but I've been hanging out for news like this. Some thoughts:

Pros - battle packs return! Good selection of figs, especially the Scout Trooper. Wonder if it'll be a unique variant or a regular Endor style. I didn't realise it's been so long since the last Hoth battle packs. No stud shooters! E.g. not needing to pay a couple dollars more per pack to BL regular weapons.

Cons - price increase, maybe it's time for an increase but say $17 would have been much easier to swallow than a straight jump to $20. Hope the contents of the pack go someway to justifying the increase. The side builds are nice but they sound suspiciously similar to the side builds from last year's AT-AT. Not that that's a deal breaker, as not everyone will have that set, but could have been a chance to go in a different direction, maybe to introduce an official Kenner MTV-7 in Lego form, now that would justify the increased price.

I won’t say no! Either that or put them in the SW magazine.

If it’s 105 pieces for $20 then perhaps it’s either a Juniors Battle Pack (that’d be a first) or maybe it has something gimmicky that’s expensive to produce (like the motorised stunt bikes in LEGO city).

I would absolutely love to see a Battle Pack for the 327th Star Corps.
