Whoops, was messing around with post formats and accidentally hit the enter button. Could someone delete my quest page?

I've hidden it for the time being, do you just want to edit it again when you're ready?

 Can do, thanks.

Eurobricks not having the option to self-delete posts has always been the strangest choice to me.

Here are some W.I.P. faceplate avatar examples for future missions, this is a teaser / look into how Bers expresses himself. As mentioned in the previous post this is how I imagined Bers (his face) when creating him, a literal display screen (inspired by the Securitrons from New Vegas for anybody familiar with that game).

51622013670_652656d062_q.jpg Bers is happy! Displaying his Smiley faceplate

@Waterbrick Down I'm terribly sorry, I realized my avatar was too small for the faceplate template to work, might I bother you one last time to update my default avatar? I think this scale works better.

Edit:

To showcase how much I actually edited, some of my monitor details are lost when cropping the avatar, a bit of a shame:

Done, cool concept!

I remember that happening on a quest I was on and Sandy came down with a ban hammer.

Poor KotZ, I’m pretty sure it was one of their first quests.

Haha yeah that was one of mine.

OOC: She has a holoscroll, allowing her to know an additional spell. :classic:

I guess I'm a little confused about how items work - I thought we needed to have them equipped for them to come into play?  (Not trying to blow up your spot, Kinto!). Do we just need them in our inventory, or equipped?

The Holo-scroll is a Tool, it should be equipped to have the extra spell available for casting.

I had this awful dream someone joined the game by just posting a comment in-character in a mission and it became very obvious very quickly that they were a troll just clogging up the thread.

I'm fairly certain that happened at one point in Heroica: Fantasy.

I remember someone coming in here wanting to play Doctor Who but @Sandy said "nope come up with something more original". I guess someone could play as a similar character now in the newer game.

Fair. Should I have the extra spell listed in my stats for when I want to cast using the scroll, or can I decide what that spell is when I equip it, as it's likely I'll be moving between it and the farsight googles.

I remember this as well. That was some deep, recessed memory you just stirred, samurai-turtle, holy smokes.

I'd put it in the description of your particular holo-scroll. The idea is for it to only have one spell associated with it whether you have it equipped or not during missions.

Okay, so we actually don't have to commit to equipment then? We can just constantly be equipping and un-equipping them? Why have an "equipped" distinction at all in that case? The holoscroll is the only one that seems particularly combat based - if we can switch freely as long as we're not in combat I don't really see how it matters. I would have bought a holoscroll before the quest if I realized I could just have both things equipped .

It's more for if you're making Proficiency checks during combat as the "Try Something" action.

That is part of my power. :devil_laugh:

Now I am wondering if someone could come in here and play as a Star Wars Stormtrooper (you know a generic one). :sceptic: :vader:

I mean, I think the archetype might be fun. A character who was just a faceless soldier and leaves to give themselves and identity beyond just "soldier who shoots things". It's got legs to go interesting places. :classic:

Aside from what WBD said, equipped items don't count toward your inventory limit.

I agree: A citizen of an empire who, in the wake of a short-but-significant war, enlists as a soldier and fights rebel groups during said empire's civil war - Star Wars or GATS?

Endgame, looks like an exciting fight there! I was really nervous with the 14 vitality, but it looks like the heroes ate through it quickly!!

And, Legonator, I shouted out Kinto early and frequently - already enjoying the quest! Appreciate the mystery, and appreciate the chance to learn how the party is going to gel together!

Thanks, I really appreciate it! It's been a long time since Duplovia and I'm already feeling a lot more confident about this one. I'm excited for you all to see what's in store!
