@Brick Clicker has not said that either here or on Instagram, and the supposed cancellation is not being reported by any other sources (such as Promobricks).

You accuse me of strawmanning and yet here you are unironically calling me a "nAzI" because I have an issue with an entire population getting demonised.Besides I'm Greek and unless you didn't know the Germans commited war crimes against my people in WWII but as an adult I can look past issues and not be hateful against an entire population.

That is not at all why the movie is problematic, and if that were actually the case, then why have we gotten characters such as Namor, 838 Mordo, Rae Sloane, MCU Electro (coming later this year), etc?

Probably because the overton window gets pushed every year even further left.The DIEversity quota has reached the point were nowdays both the good guys and the bad guys need to be diverse.

So which is it? Are the woke overlords not allowing villains to exist unless they're white, or are they so woke the villains can't be white? These things are directly contradictory. Neither of them make a lick of sense, but at least pick just one.

Where was ANY reason given for this rumour? I saw Promobricks' IG story. It gave no context. But everyone here has immediately taken it in a baseless direction of discussion of potentially offensive material? If anyone has any additional information please PM me as I'm curious to know why everyone thinks the rumour is based on people being offended by what the set depicts.

I think that some people are taking a franchise about an adventurer fighting Nazis a little bit too seriously 

Like, really, it's not that deep. They are one of the most popular 80's adventure movies. People love Indy, and The Dial of Destiny is one of the most anticipated 2023 movies.

I never said it would "sink Lego", just that it could result in a little bad press.

Also, there are normal, average people who feel hurt about offensive portrayals of their culture and people in older media, and there are normal average people who feel uncomfortable with those portrayals despite not being part of that particular people or culture. It's called having empathy. And I reckon I can relate easier since I do belong to a small non-white minority often portrayed very negatively in media, both old and new.

I assure you that there would be absolutely no bad press at all for LEGO.

It's a beloved movie series. Hate it or not, people love Indiana Jones as a franchise. LEGO releasing sets based on it is not hurtful in any way.

The only info that was released by leakers is that the Temple of Doom might be canned or postponed, as it (apparently) doesn't appear on any listings, and neither does the second wave, which means it could also be not happening.

I can't get the DMs to upload, but essentially BC says that @Legofan2001 took what they said way put of context, and that the only set there's a question about (i.e. might be cancelled but not 100%) is the ToD.

The best thing to do in this case will be to wait to see what Lego reveals as everything is just rumours until they confirm things.

I said I'd heard similar to Promobricks and it's been blown out of proportion so I'll leave it there for now.

Yeah, exactly. No leaker has mentioned any kind of reason as to why the set might be cancelled (even tho no one's sure if it really is).

The “entire population” that he was referring to was specifically the entire population of Nazis, not the entire population of Germans.

So. . . Villains cannot be non-White because wokeness, but also villains are required to be non-White because wokeness??? 

I also feel the need to point out that the phrase “DIEversity” (specifically with “die” capitalised) is commonly used by White-supremacists, as it is referencing the so-called “White Genocide” Great Replacement conspiracy theory.
