I’m wondering if that’s across the board or not. I didn't have a duplicate hat piece in any of the sets. I've bought the whole series 6 times and never received a duplicate anywhere. But I also live in Europe Austria, i.e. DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), so we also have other boxes, without a number of parts and are probably supplied from other warehouses and therefore with other batches, so I think that’s the reason. 40 minutes ago, BrickBob Studpants said: No kid is going to care about DoD sets so long after the movie leaves theatres. DoD sets in 2024 is next to impossible. No kid is going to care about DoD sets so long after the movie leaves theatres. Also, TLG is not on the list of licensees, which would certainly cover future tie-in products too. You can hope for more classic sets next year all you want, but there is no way for DoD sets to get made. Even if they were THIS worried about spoilers, they would have found a way. Hasbro will still release stuff. And even No Way Home got tie-in sets, loosely inspired as they were Like how Lego thinks kids don't care about raiders or last crusade sets so long after those movies left cinemas and haven't made system sets for either.... I had ordered all three sets on LEGO.com at 01:02am as a precaution as I wasn't sure if SmythsToys would have the sets on the shelves by 04/01 in the morning. The employees don't work 7x24 for the Indiana Jones fans either :-) Up until March 31st they were marked as sold out or not yet arrived. So rather delivered 2-3 days later by LEGO than maybe no sets at all for another few weeks. When I saw in the morning that SmythsToys had them available I ordered 3 of each set on Click&Collect as I wanted to pick them up right away and not risk not getting any. I had no way of knowing how big the hype would be. At 09:06 in the morning I picked them up at SmythsToys. As I suspected and expected, they weren't on the shelves yet, the employees fetched them directly from the warehouse. This even had the advantage that I got the 77015 in the brown outer box, just as LEGO had delivered it, scratch-free and without the usual cuts when you cut open the outer box too deeply with the carpet knife. In the afternoon on April 1st I was at Smyths again and was able to take all three sets with me again, but 77015 was the last copy. So I was able to get the sets 4x from SmythsToys via Click&Collect and once they will come via DPD from LEGO tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. So a total of 5x the entire series 77012, 77013 and 77015 (it always hurts to have to leave out the 77014 in such a list) I also got the 77012 and the 77013 twice from Smyhts today, but without Click&Collect, so I went there. So if anyone is really interested, yes, I now have 77012 7x, 77013 7x and 77015 5x And if someone now thinks I'm a rich stupid snot or a dork or something, no, neither the one nor the other is the case, from my point of view. But I've been saving for a long time, we're not going on vacation this year and I also saved quite a bit for Christmas last year. And no, I didn't buy away all sets for all others, there were still enough copies left and I also paid attention to fairness and didn't take everything with me at the start of sales in the morning, even now there are still enough copies available locally at Smyths. Unfortunately, there are no other topics at LEGO that interest me, no adventure series, no pirates, few trains. In fact, it's more like Indiana Jones that interests me most and I'm only currently able to get something about the franchise from LEGO. As soon as Hasbro has released the Indiana Jones Monopoly, I'll grab it too. Maybe I'll grab the sets again in the next few months, but that's enough for now. AND NO, I am not a scalper and I do NOT intend to sell the sets for twice the price now or for 20 times the price in 10 years. I want to keep the figures, the bricks etc. and probably open them all. Oh.... You do realise those are 1) sets based on classic movies that stood the test of time, whereas DoD could suffer the same fate as KotCS, and 2) were released close to the release of a new movie? Or do you think they would‘ve brought the theme back if it wasn‘t for DoD? If TLG actually thought the sets didn‘t need that boost, they would have kept the original April 2022 release date. 3 minutes ago, DrHenryJonesJr said: I want to keep the figures, the bricks etc. and probably open them all. I think people are underestimating how big of a push Indy is going to get from Disney. If the new movie does well (and I’m sure it will) then we can expect spinoffs to keep the franchise relevant, and that means more merchandise. There’s already a Disney+ show in development. With the sets selling well so far I see no reason for LEGO not to continue. The absence of DoD sets could simply just be to avoid spoilers and we could very well see a wave in 2024, with the sets we have now filling that void for the time being. This is the grand finale for Indiana Jones and they’ve been pretty tight lipped regarding the plot. There’s been no major plot leaks at all. I remain hopeful is all, but I definitely don’t think this is all we’re getting. We don’t know what the plans for 2024 are yet, so all we can do is be patient. Quite the opposite. If reports are to be believed, the series was cancelled and Lucasfilm will now focus solely on Star Wars. Quote

The younger daughter has already built the 77012, the older daughter the 77013. They would also like the 77015, but have some respect for the high part count and associated longer build time, as well as the engineering components for the game features Of course, related to my daughters, we are now and then at SmythsToys (unfortunately there is nothing for me at the moment apart from Indiana Jones) for LEGO Friends Sets, Classic Brick Sets, or LEGO Creator Sets. But since I like to build and play together with my daughters, I will just take one of the Indiana Jones sets with me to build something that I like to build. Of course, we also use the stones to build things ourselves, or my children use them. Thank goodness you're still one of those kids who I was able to teach that LEGO is meant to be rebuilt and not to be kept in showcases like in a museum :-) Quote

I love that a translation from a Germanic language is stones :). In English it's bricks, and now I want to know what the whole world calls the building blocks. It does make me wistful for any ToD set and the sacred stones, but oh well. I just bought a used Creator Pirate Coaster that is going to get converted into the mine chase! The skull pass through works well, but I'll need to convert the ship to a water tower, the fort to a temple/palace, the shark cars to mine carts, and the octopus to perhaps the pile of insects that Willie had to bypass. Since about an hour ago I unpacked all sets, except for the two that I keep for a long time, and put them in smaller bags for better storage in the apartment, I was able to check the small bags in response to this request. Unfortunately, I could not find any double hats in my variants. The whips are duplicated, but unfortunately the hats are not. 1 hour ago, Mopasali said: I love that a translation from a Germanic language is stones :). The skull pass through works well, but I'll need to convert the ship to a water tower, the fort to a temple/palace, the shark cars to mine carts, and the octopus to perhaps the pile of insects that Willie had to bypass. Due to the inaccuracies in the automatic translation, I usually read the posts briefly before sending them off. Insofar as they are longer or I'm in a bit of a hurry, or both, I occasionally overlook such things, of course the correct word is brick. With the German word "Stein" or "Steine" (plural) we usually refer primarily to the small version of a rock, or a small part of a rock, but it is also used in connection with building bricks, which would literally translate as "building stone". Occasionally the term "Klemm-Bau-Stein" is used in a generalized way, which would probably be translated literally as a clam-(on)-building-stone. In German, however, the term "BauStein" (translated literally Building-Stone) is also used in the analogous sense of being a small part of a large whole, so the use of this word in this context comes less from the meaning of the rock but from a small part. I'm not sure how to better explain this Quote

BrickBob Studpants Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 I do feel bad for hammering this in as I don’t wanna destroy people’s hopes, but it just ain’t looking good. Trust me, I would sacrifice A LOT of sets in other themes in exchange for more Indy stuff, so it’s not like I want the theme to be discontinued. But crafting flimsy theories why more sets must be coming won’t magically make that a reality. These are the facts: TLG is not on the list of DoD licensees. They have never before released the first wave of sets based on a new movie after its release, and especially not the following year. (Avatar TWoW doesn’t count as some shops broke the street date and the Ant-Man figure is a result of a shift in release schedules) Spoilers don’t matter as Hasbro releases a ton of DoD products and even No Way Home got tie-in sets. No movie-licensed theme that only got three sets in its first year continued further. Follow-up waves for non-evergreen themes do not exist anymore None of this means it’s impossible for there to be more in 2024. But it’s incredily unlikely. Applying Ockham’s razor, I think they produced these three sets to tie in with the movie and that’s it Quote
