It's because the author uses really informal language, also mixing it with English words. Took the liberty of translating it more correctly (without changing too much tho, so it's still not well-written).

77012 Fighter Plane Chase

The set includes three figures: Indiana Jones with an open jacket and a tie, a new hat mould, and an interesting faceprint, Henry Jones Senior, and a sand green fighter pilot with a classic pilot hat. In addition to a simple sand green plane, covered with stickers and with a printed airing, the set will also include a Speed Champions-esque Citroën with a chest in the back.

77013 Escape from the Lost Tomb

It's a remake of a set from 2008 — 7621. The set depicts the tomb from the first Indiana Jones movie, where the Ark of the Covenant was hidden. The set includes four minifigures : Indiana Jones, Marion Ravenwood in her torn dress, Sallah, and a (brown) mummy. The tomb consists of two rooms — the main one with the Ark of the Covenant, golden arches, and walls covered with (stickered) hieroglyphs. There are two cat statues in the middle, one of them covering a secret passage.

77014 Temple of Doom

Remake of a set from 2009 – 7199. The set includes six figures: Indiana Jones with an open shirt, Willie Scott, Short Round, Mola Ram, a Thugee cultist, and a Maharaja guard. In the middle there's a statue of a six-armed goddess, with a hatch for making sacrifices, and the whole build will be surrounded by tracks, on which there are two 2×4 mine carts. The background scenery of the build is basically just a rock.

77015 The Temple Escale Diorama

The set will have a black frame as its base, like the ones from Star Wars dioramas, and include four minifigures: Indiana Jones (same as the one in 77013), Dr. René Émile Belloq with a revolver, a native with a printed loincloth on his legs and a necklace, and Satipo with a printed shirt and an interesting faceprint. The diorama consists of three parts: the entrance, the passage over the abyss, and the vault. The treasury includes a pedestal with a skull [the author confused the Idol with a skull, hence the confusion], and behind it there's a huge brickbuilt Idol face. The walls are brown and covered with weeds, and the whole thing is covered with a dome, at the top of which there's a light brick illuminating the Idol. Above the passage there is a ball made out of Technic pieces, and the whole tunnel uses grey pieces. The entrance to the cave uses dark orange pieces, with the addition of tan ones representing sand, and there's also a skeleton lying at the entrance.

The sets release in April. The next four sets will release after the movie premieres.

Are we sure we can trust the source.

One thing I noticed is that the last source listed a Thugee Cultist as one of the minifigures instead of the Maharadja (which was mentioned in earlier rumours).

I thought it came with both?

I don’t think it does unfortunatly. There are six figures: Indy, Willie Scott, Short Round, Mola Ram, a temple guard and now apparently a cultist instead of earlier rumours saying it was the Maharadja.

So I guess it will all be updates from the previous figures. Ah well, a cultist seems nice anyway!

The list above says Thugee cultist and Maharaja guard as two separate figures.  My assumption is that the Thugee cultist is one of the guys in the red robes/black turban, while the Maharaja guard is either some sort of mistranslation and it's the head guard (shirtless guy that Indy fights on the conveyor belt) or it's the Maharaja, and I have no idea why "guard" is included in that.

These set leaks sound great and happen to be new versions of the exact sets I don't have from the 2008 wave. Quite interested to see how they compare, I had passed on those original sets due to not liking the designs and large amounts of stickers. Pretty annoyed that the Temple of Doom set is centered around minecarts again and disappointed to hear the hieroglyphics are stickers again. Lego has come quite a ways in 15 years but I guess some things stay the same :pir-laugh:

I am a little bummed that there's no Kingdom of the Crystal Skull set. I get that it's the black sheep of the series, but I never thought it was that bad. On par with Temple of Doom for me. And it had some pretty fantastic sets back in 2008.

Agreed. I definitely understand why it's the black sheep, but to be perfectly honest I'd rather watch the entirety of KotCS than one scene featuring Willie Scott.

Hopefully we'll get a Crystal Skull set in 2024 (because I'd bet money this theme continues into next year at least unless these sets completely bomb).

I love Hachiroku's diorama of this, and the brick-built boulder looks OK to me. It would be great to incorporate more slopes and curves to it than just a traditional LEGO brick-built ball, and would also allow colour variety. But yes, it wouldn't roll very well (if at all), so depends on whether they are prioritizing play/functionality. The Technic ball seems too smooth and uniform to my eyes.

Thank you! Yes, the ball I made doesn't roll at all, but I did it on purpose. I used the technic ball at first but I couldn't place it the way I wanted.

Same. I love KotCS. I would love any set of the first half of the movie (Area 51/University chase).

What are the chances of one of the other four sets being a KotCS set? We are getting three "regular" sets in the first wave and the diorama. Maybe the second wave is three Dial of Destiny sets and a KotCS set.

Honestly, I prefer it. It looks better with the rest of the piece, compared to the super smooth ball.

And whilst I'm here, love your work!

It's not garbage, but I'd say it's definately the worst of the 4. Obviously that's all subjective, but I'd argue even though Temple of Doom is the weakest of the 3 OG films, it's still significantly better than Crystal Skull.

Same. I don‘t need a remake of every single one of the 2008 sets, but new versions of all the main characters plus minifigs based on missing characters (Mac and Oxley) would have been great :sadnew:

just a small set with Mac and Oxley fighting over some ants would be fine - we already got everything else in 2008 it’s honestly the most well-covered of all the movies in terms of scenes and characters. I’d take some sets from Crystal Skull (because it’s a good movie) but I’m glad we’re getting new and missing characters from the original trilogy first

I really don‘t get why it‘s so hated. Sure, there are some ridiculous scenes (nuking the fridge, Mutt doing a Tarzan impression), but it‘s not like the previous films didn‘t have scenes like that either, it‘s part of the charme to me

Then there‘s the aliens/interdimensional beings which draw a lot of contempt for some reason. I think the concept fits perfectly into the era (alien conspiracies, area 51, the Cold War, mind-control and all that) and I don‘t see why they are supposedly so much worse than all the other supernatural encounters Indy had. I mean, some of the books/comics/games feature stuff that‘s so out there it makes aliens look quaint in comparison :laugh_hard:

I think the ant mould might still be around, so a set featuring them would work  After all, the ant piece was used in a different colour in 2015 for the Ant-man set

Back in 2008 when I was a kid I had the camp set with the ant pieces and then I saw the movie and I was disappointed because I thought the giant ants were going to be scale accurate to the lego sets and honestly the worst thing I can say about that movie is that the ants should have been larger.

I have a gimmick Letterboxd account where I only log movies featuring ants and this is the exact energy I aspire to have there.

Top 3 best Indiana Jones movie so far, if you ask me.

Not to  mention that the upcoming movie is very likely going to be about time travel!

While obviously there are some people who legitimately hate the idea of aliens in IJ, I've always thought the majority of distaste for that particular beat was mostly just leftover hate for the Star Wars prequels.

Not sure of I'd agree with that. While KotCS got the most sets overall in the original run, they were mostly all focused on the jungle scenes. We never got anything from the first act of the movie (Area 51, rocket car, college chase, the fridge), and most people would agree the first act is the best part of Crystal Skull.

Imo the Area 51 opener could make for a really great larger set, with a nice Area 51 playset and one of the Russian trucks from the chase scene.

I get the general idea for it (it's in the 50s now so it's a 50s style adventure film with aliens), but I still hate it for the universe. Indiana Jones was never science fiction. It'd be like if Master Chief showed up to the final battle in return of the king.
