I have a feeling that the Fighter Tank will be a $50 Target Exclusive around Christmas time, along with the Agents sub and Coast Guard platform, like the Tie Crawler and Dwarves mine were last year. So dont shoot me if Im wrong, but thats just my gut instinct.

I think that you may be right. I'll snap that Fighter Tank up as soon as I find it.

Same here! :classic: Haven't built the gunship though. Should I write a review of the gunship with pictures, or do you think I should pass?

Dude, we already have a gazillion gunship reviews. Although I'm sure the wonderful administration wouldn't mind a few more.

EDIT: No offense to our great admins(and I don't mean it sarcastically here  ).

Most of them aren't very good though. :sadnew: They either lack pics or details about the model, like swooshability and stuff. :sceptic: Therefore, if you think you can make a very good and detailed review, I'd say go for it, lego12! You can look at examples in the review index of this forum.

That's true. But the admins should lock some of the duplicates, or some of them which are just a paragraph and maybe one picture. :sceptic:

We need... A master review!

You? Anyone can find all eight of them... Chances are he's in Europe where the sets are not exclusive to any one store.

Darth Legois, is it me or is someone acting a little more noobish than the person quoted? :sceptic:

I have to agree with you. Legois' outburst is not what I would've done at all. And I've been chambered twice, so I think that gives me a certain degree of authority.

JK!(well, maybe  )

Im sorry i was just REALY annoyed that someone would keep hoping for something thats not going too happen even though he said he knows its not going too hes just hoping for the hell of it [ ]

And i have a short fuse when it comes too things like that- just realy bugs me. :sceptic:

Soo um yea im sorry for that

Staying on-topic i dont think i will get all the CW sets at once i will wait awhile for sales ect..

Why does everyone wait for sales? The only sale on Lego I've ever seen was an ExoForce Hero Tank at target for half price a few months ago, and the box was crushed.

Either that or, like, one-day TRU sales on regular sets that they never advertise. :sceptic:

Personally, I don't want to wait two years to save a few bucks on a set.

Anyway, on topic, is it for sure now that the RGS comes with an extra set of Assaj lightsabers?

here is my review of the rep gunship.

I love it not quite worth all $120 but is worth most of it. The cockpit is very nice and so are the side gunpods. There are "levers" in the back that allow you to open the doors. There is a lot of storage space. The guns work very well and swivel perfectally. There is also a compartment to put in the new spy droids. The bacta tank is cool and fits in nicely. I cant say much about the little hover craft that fits in the front because I thought it looked stupid so I did not build it. The speeder is cool and fits in nicely. Now the most important part, the figs. Asajj does come with 4 lightsabers. Asajj's skirt is made of some type of fabric and she can move her legs. The kamas and pauldrons are commplete CRAP, you can move their legs and they look terrible. Suprisingly the clone wars head dont look that bad. Plo koons head is rubbery but still looks cool. Cartoon obi wan is pretty cool also.

I hope you liked my review in the morning I will write one of the ATTE.

Overall I would definantly get one. The only problem is that it is a little overpriced. $129.99!! it is worth about $100-$110

You mean you can't move the legs. Even that isn't quite true, though, you can move them a little to make the clone look like he is at least walking. :sceptic: The pauldrons on the other hand are pretty neat IMO  , except for the fact that you can hardly us them for Phase 2 clones. :hmpf_bad: And the rest of the gear is pretty cool. The lamps seem a litttle big and look more like tiny jet engines  but I think no one is gonna use 'em anyway.

IF these prices keep going up, I'm going to completely stop buying these sets. This is sort of ridiculous. If a battle pack does come out then I'll be a bit happier but they better not be more than $15 or I'll be POed.

i agree i remember abck in 99 when you could go into lego with £20 and come out with 3 sw sets

heres what the pricing should be

rgs £50

at-te £50

v19 £20

tank £35

spider droid £10

twilight £30

dgs £15

manga fighter £30

THE OLD BATTLE PACKS £3 TO £5 EACH £10 IS F*$)£NG RIDICULOUS

That´s not completly right. In Germany, the sets are just aviable in TRU and Galeria. Maybe he went to more than one store.^^

Yes, a friend of mine has a Gunship set with 4 Assaij hilts. They are like extra parts.

here is my review of the rep gunship.

1. I love it not quite worth all $120 but is worth most of it.

Actually you made mistake at the end. It's $119.99. :sweet: Now for my re-review of your review  :

1. Really? I think it's definitely worth it. :sceptic: Can you tell me why it isn't worth 120 bucks? :classic:

2. I agree! But... What side gunpods? They didn't put them on this model.

3. Yup! Wait, what swiveling guns? Do you mean the ball turrets on the front?

4. Indeed; we've known that... Forever.

5. Well that's a waste of bricks. :hmpf_bad: The least you could do is mod it into a one seater so it'd look cooler, but not building it at all is like not having the complete set. :cry_sad:

6. I agree there; it is a very nice bike and looks almost exactly like the ones from ROTJ.

7. 4 Lightsaber Hilts, but two red blades.

8. I think they look perfect, and just like they do in the new movie, which is all that matters. You don't need to move their legs, and they can move enough for me. I think someone is a little overly critical and overly expectant of TLC. :sceptic:

9. Surprisingly? I expected greatness from these heads and I got that. So what's wrong with Plo Koon having a rubbery head? You make it sound like it's a problem. :sceptic:

Overall, I think you're being a little too critical of the figs and the set. What matters in a set is the set itself. The figures are like a sticker sheet. They are what you put on the set itself. :sweet:

You mean you can't move the legs. Even that isn't quite true, though, you can move them a little to make the clone look like he is at least walking. :sceptic: The pauldrons on the other hand are pretty neat IMO  , except for the fact that you can hardly us them for Phase 2 clones. :hmpf_bad: And the rest of the gear is pretty cool. The lamps seem a litttle big and look more like tiny jet engines  but I think no one is gonna use 'em anyway.

Yeah. They move enough for me; besides, commanders(besides Rex, and, I guess, Cody) aren't really in the thick of it.

The pauldrons look very accurate and are very close to the movie's pauldrons(for example, Commander Bly's pauldron. ). Well, I'd put a headlight next to an antenna. Makes sense to use both slots. They aren't that big. Look at the big SW blaster. It's the size of a frickin' Barretts 50 cal. Sniper rifle.

IF these prices keep going up, I'm going to completely stop buying these sets. This is sort of ridiculous. If a battle pack does come out then I'll be a bit happier but they better not be more than $15 or I'll be POed.

I don't think TLC would do that. They did that because everyone else did. Take a look at the new Clone Wars figures by Hasbro. They are all 7.99. They used to be 6.99. Everything is going up, and granted soon everything will be going down. :sweet:

Can't argue with that.

Honest to goodness, I think you have it all wrong. These prices are EXTREMELY wishful, I hate to say. How can you say the Twilight should be twenty pounds less than the AT-TE? It has 100 more bricks...

The RGS is definitely not equal to the AT-TE; it's much bigger. The V-19 is MUCH larger than the fighter tank, and HOW IN THE BLOODY HELL DO YOU FIGURE THE FIGHTER TANK HIGHER THAN THE TWILIGHT? No offense but that lightened up my day today. :sweet:

The Spider Droid is definitely not worth the same price as the DGS as it has 100 pieces less, so I agree with you there.

Once again, you severely underpriced the Twilight. The Magnaguard Starfighter is both not worth as much as the Twilight nor is it worth more than the V-19.

Oh yeah... TRU is in Europe too. I'm such an oaf... Tks for clearing that up, thought, Fenson. :sweet:

I don't really remember being able to get 3 sets for £20 but at that time I was only knee high as a grasshopper. I think LEGO would get much more business if they lowered there prices because then more people could afford them and afford more. :sadnew:

LEGO is a toy company. Unless you want them to go bankrupt they're going to try to make a profit. Due to marketing decisions, the sets they think will sell well they make a little more expensive in order to maximize their income. It's because of their income that they can experiment with new ideas so often; we get a couple brand new themes every year, and most other companies wouldn't take those kinds or risks. MegaBloks sure doesn't.

Sometimes it seems like a rip-off, but whining when a set is five bucks more expensive than you think it should be isn't only annoying, but it shows that we're a little spoiled.

Im sorry I did leave parts out about the gunship. Asajj does come with 4 hilts and only 2 blades, comes with 2 sets of clone gear. By swiveling guns i do mean the ones in the front. At midnight madness the gunship was $129.99 and not $119.99 but I still bought it.

I could not take pics because they said that it was an exclusive event and they did not allow camaras.

I will write a review of the ATTE later

I highly doubt these rumors.. TIEs don't sell very well, they're not at all connected (except Vaders TIE) to the characters (and so minifigs) that kind of run the line somehow. I understand that TLC focuses on the Clone Wars, in one year no one knows anymore what it was. But I really think there'll be other OT sets, perhaps like a Landspeeder or so. Something that provides my theory mentioned above. There are also things they never did, like Shuttle Tyridium, Endor Bunker, Sandpeople with their strange animals or Rebel Transport. And now that we get an Imperial playset, why not a Massassi Outpost? Just an idea.

But whatever. Since I really think the rumors about the CW sets are in the direction of TLCs strategy, maybe the other (OT) part might be true as well. We will see. :classic:

Yeah, $50 for the RGS, some one would buy 3 and LEGO would still make $150. Everyone would be happy.

Sithassassin, Toys r Us is always more expensive that anywhere else.

No, they'd go bankrupt. Even though people would be able to afford more, there's still the production costs for the set. The lower the set prices, the lower the chances of them breaking even. Like Algernon said, they have to make a profit so they can experiment with newer products. Sure, I wish the prices were lower but TLC has to keep up with changing global economies so that they can give us more products.

Now, back to 2008 sets.

I built the gunship last night and it is sweet! :classic: It is big, and it should be $100, but TLC has to make a profit, right? :sceptic: I  this set. The only con is that it is heavy so it is hard to play with. :hmpf_bad: It's great! I'll try to write a review tommorow.

Um... no. Every time somebody bought one, LEGO would actually loose money. The production costs would be more money than they're making from sales.

For Oky Wan and TDF: I'm making a 'master review' of the rgs, so check it out on the topic that I made. Pics and the full review up tomorrow, hopefully. Oh, and YESSS! I get to make a review of the gunship!! :sweet:

On topic, I missed 20 pages this week... and lots of drama, excitement and waiting... I see you guys were really pumped for that night, especially you, sithassasin. Well, they're finally here, and I'm too excited about them to complain about the tank not being in US (yet). And I also spotted the homing spider droid, with a limited edition tag on the box, so thats next on my list. Congrats to everyone who snagged these! And here's to hoping for those who didn't get any yet!

well, I can only speak for Italy and germany, but here I don't think they are anyhow as popular as others. In Italy you were always able to find TIEs, even older sets in toystores, but never Snowspeeders or X-Wings or others. For germany, they always had the highest discounts at Karstadt, amazon or others. But not for weeks but for months. Just examples, of course. I noticed that batman sets are not too unpopular in the UK, but on the mainland of europe you were able to get most of the sets for 50% off at a certain point, and even then they were not selling to well (can speak of Italy, germany, austria, france). I cannot speak about everywhere, especially not about UK too well, but here I got the impression about the TIEs. So, perhaps just my limited point of view or my experience, but I really doubt that sets without heroes sell the same way as sets with them. You have a very different approach to them I think. :classic:

They sell good enough to cover the costs, to make money - sure! But I think the aren't the cash cows of the line.
