Oky Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 Another thing I am curious about regarding Dooku's Solar Sailor is if we will get an FA-4 pilot droid with it (which would only make sense), and if so, how TLG will design it.
Kynergy Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 I have a concern with the Solar Sailor though. The ship is mainly just a cockpit, and a holding area for the huge sail. How is TLG going to make this sail fold into the ship completly, just like in the film. I'm alittle sceptic on this, and think it might not be true, and if it is, I have a feeling LEGO might end up doing this wrong
Pate-keetongu Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 tauntauns? endor battle set? this is too good to be true
Tarfful Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 (edited) And, Tarfful, I still think that the droid BP is the one with Magnas that was rumored at the beginning of this thread. What would be the point of a BP with a bunch of IG-86s? Well, they play a key role in the upcoming movie and JediNews said, and I quote- Assassin Droids Battle PackIf you want Battle Droids, run out and buy the current back before it's replaced with this one! This set will include five IG-series Assassin Droids and a Speeder. But if you ask me, having multitudes of IG-86 Assassin Droids does sound pretty useless, but seeing as this is the most recent news we have I'd say this is more likely to be true. Although they do resemble the Lancer Droids from the orignal CW TV show, so you could always use them to recreate that iconic scene. VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV I just realized that Republic Attack Cruiser and Republic Star Destroyer aren't the same thing. The Attack Cruiser, as THE-FORCE pointed out, is the Brickmaster exclusive mini Venator, so what is the SD? When you look it up on Wookieepedia, you get this:*Image of a Republic-class Star Destroyer* Looks weird. I guess we will know more about it once the CW show starts. It might be a mini as well. Oky, I hate to burst your bubble but, that's a Republic-class Star Destroyer not a Republic Star Destroyer. The difference is that the Republic-class Star Destroyer is used by the New Republic not the Old Republic. Oh and the Venator is widely known as the Republic Star Destroyer as it was the main Star Destroyer in Republics arsenal of ships. It was also the only SD until the Victory-class was created, but that ship is more identified with the Galactic Empire then the Galactic Republic. VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV No, but I do know it was featured in the game Empire at War. Which one from EAW? There are several to choose from. And don't forget that the Y-wing possible can be of the Republic and not of the Rebels. As we discussed that a couple of weeks ago. Link of the Y-Wing: http://www.starwars.com/theclonewars/news/news20080403.html Of course it's going to be the Republic version of the Y-Wing, we just got a new version of the old Y-wing last year. VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV I think that it will be more like this:*Image of a Sheathipede-class transport shuttle used by GG* That's the only Separatist Shuttle I can think of right now. I'd buy it though if it were like that. That would be the most likely candidate in my mind too, thanks for the picture. Though there are two versions, the first which is the one Bly posted was used by GG to land on Utapau. It had an unaltered cockpit due to GG's personal distrust of automated systems. The second version is fully automated and therefore has a diff. cockpit. Reference pic below- This second version was used by the CIS leaders to land on Mustafar and by Nute Gunray to try and escape from Darth Vader on Mustafar after the other CIS leaders had been killed. Personally I hope it will be the first version with a new GG and IG-100 Magna Guards. -Tarfful EDIT: Forgot to spellcheck, I also separated the different parts more to make the post easier to read. EDIT 2: I somehow chopped half my post off, it's fixed now. Edited August 19, 2008 by Tarfful
Rune Haako Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 (edited) I think the Separatist Shuttle will come with a Nute Gunray minifig cause it appears in an episode of the series that Gunray's in. Edited August 19, 2008 by Rune Haako

Rune Haako Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 (edited) Yep, but I think these are all just sets for the Clone Wars movie and series. (Except for the OT ones.) Edited August 19, 2008 by Rune Haako

I think these were in the KotOR comics. There are 3 Republic Star Destoyers, the Acclamator-I, theAcclamator-II,and the Venator. We are tgetting the Venator as a Mini leaving the other to available. The Acclamator-I is probably the other one we will get. We see a good portion of this in Republic Commando. Which mybe how we will get Delta Squad and some Trandos, or a Bunch of Republic Bridge Crew. It would be nice to get a Minifig, or a $3000.00 completely minifig scale, Venator, since they are seen more often. But the fig new fig possibility is enormous. I don't know wether I should buy the Twilight and AT-TE now or wait to what next year brings. Yikes. Yep, but I think these are all just sets for the Clone Wars movie and series. (Except for the OT ones.) Yes, thank you for that. That is sorta obvious.

The acclamator is not actually considered a star destroyer. Plus, as great as they would be, I highly doubt Republic Commando sets. A Venator is more likely as they are more iconic and are more wanted.
Justin2224 Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 GG also uses one Ep. III. -Tarfful But we have a GG fig, and we could use a Gunray, or any other species for that matter.
SWMAN Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 I am really excited about some of these sets. I am glad to see that Lego isn't sticking just with the Clone Wars and will release some OT sets as well. While a few of these sets sound kind of lame, I am already trying to make room on my shelves for some new sets.

Also, the Acclamator-class were assault ships, not Star Destroyer's. You also forgot the Victory-class, which is a a SD. VVVVVVVVVV Plus, as great as they would be, I highly doubt Republic Commando sets. A Venator is more likely as they are more iconic and are more wanted. Seconded, although Delta Squad in LEGO form would be a dream come true. VVVVVVVVVV But we have a GG fig, and we could use a Gunray, or any other species for that matter. Who cares about a slimey, cowardly species who don't even have noses? Seriously, I would like to see Nemodians too, but I'd rather have a new version of GG first. -Tarfful EDIT: I edited in some more stuff as I didn't want to double post. Mace Windu Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 I can't wait for 09. it is going to be the best year in LEGO history!
Light Light Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 I am very confused here. Are we getting 4 Battle Packs, 2 AATs, and 2 Republic Attack Shuttles now? Also, I don't think we are getting a new Turbo Tank or a Republic Cruiser set. I think those are just the minis that are coming with the Brickmaster issues.
Lego12 Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 Sorry for not posting, I have been busy lately.... Well anyway, the list is great! I hope they come out with the Endor set, pleaseeeeee? Well the new CW sets seem cool too! I am going to have to get a lot of money!
KimT Posted August 19, 2008 Author Posted August 19, 2008 I'll try to clean up the first post. So that we can all get a better view on what the rumours are so far. Gimme an hour or so.
Derek Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 I apologize for this, but whung requested I remove the lists from my posts, as he thinks they were relesed prematurely. I'm very sorry about this, and I think we should end converstion of the list he posted, out of respect Very sorry, darthperson
Mace Windu Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 No we are getting 2 battle packs. An Assasins Droid Battle pack, this set will include five IG-series Assassin Droids and a Speeder. And a Clone Walker Battle Pack this set will include two white Clone Troopers (Phase I of course), an ARC Trooper and a Clone Pilot. The vehicle is a small, two-legged, open-top walker. And No we are not getting a clone turbo tank, but we are getting a Republic Star Destroyer, because on the top there is a Republic Attack Cruiser and with the rest of the star wars things there is a Republic Star Destroyer.
KimT Posted August 19, 2008 Author Posted August 19, 2008 So, I've tried to clean up the first post. I've added pics to the sets, so that we know what we think we're discussing Maybe I've missed a pic or two, so feel free to find more pics. By now you all think I'm talking about set pics, yes? No I'm not, fell free to find them as well What I mean is that some members have found pics of the Separatist Shuttle as it is in the movie or in an encyclopedia. Please help and find some pics of the remaining sets. That way the discussion can be kept alive and kicking without turning into an "I'll surely buy or I'll surely not buy"-topic. (Which has absolutely nothing to do with the future sets and the rumours concerning them ) Confused? Good, so am I
Light Light Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 (edited) I'll try to clean up the first post.So that we can all get a better view on what the rumours are so far. Gimme an hour or so. Well, I hope we are still getting a Whorm Loathsom fig. I wouldn't mind getting a new general for the CIS other than Grievous. Also, I have my doubts on a "Nothing but IGs" Battle Pack. TLG would want to open the variety, even though the Rebel and Imp BPs were mainly 1 type of fig (More Stormies than Shadows). Also, the name says IG Assasin Droids. I think this sounds more like an IG-88 pack. Greivous' guards are called the IG MagnaGuards, not Assasins. I also still have my doubts on the Republic Star Destroyer. If anything, I think it is meant to say Attack Cruiser, because it just seems too odd of a ship for TLG. Granted, they made the Rgoue Shadow, but that was to promote Star Wars: The Force Unleashed video game. If this is a an actual set that is in the development, and it is not the mini set, then it will most likely be the same as 6211 Imperial Star Destroyer. Also, KimT? You have the wrong picture shown for the Republic Attack Shuttle. What you are showing is a Sheathipede-class Transport Shuttle used by the CIS. Here is what I assume the Hyena Droid Bomber is: I am kind of confused by what is being rumored anyways. Some of this stuff sounds odd for TLG to be releasing, such as an oddly shaped Star Destroyer, and a Droid Bomber. When do any of these make an appaearence in a movie? Unless of course these will make appearances in the Clone Wars TV series. Edited August 19, 2008 by Light Light
Rune Haako Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 That's not the Hyena Droid Bomber, it's suppose to have two heads.
Light Light Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 (edited) Well, right now this is the only known Droid Bomber Also, thats just what I assume it will be. I never said it was the actual ship. Edited August 19, 2008 by Light Light

Remember that the Clone Wars has introduced a lot of craft into the SW universe. This could be anything.
Light Light Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 Thats why I assume that most of these peculiar sets will be revealed in the Clone Wars TV series.
