iotacode Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 Echo Base is little on bricks, 155 pieces!?!? Unless they're mostly minifigs Anyway thanks Christian for the news
Klaus-Dieter Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 I found piece counts and short (kinda messed up) descriptions for some of the new sets:LEGO 8036 Star Wars Separatists Shuttle Awesome figures!Big guns! From The Clone Wars on TV, this thrilling vehicle has everything you need to torment some clones. Can the Jedi stand up to its massive firepower? 257 pieces. [Category: Construction Toys] LEGO 7749 Star Wars Echo Base From The Empire Strikes Back!Awesome design!Deadline brick guns!Based on the hit movie! 155 pieces. [Category: Construction Toys] Source: http://www.wholesalecentral.com/ Thank you very much for that information, Christian! Looking at the (regrettably not very detailed) description it seems as if the Echo Base set will include a big laser canon and the Endor Battle Playset will include lots of minifigs. When you compare the pieces with the pieces in now exisiting sets I bet that the Echo Base will be 26-30 Euros and the Endor Battle Playset 100 Euros. But perhaps the Endor Battle Playset iseven more since it seems to include many minifigs (which means that the rest of the set is surely designed very similar to the Hoth Rebel Base set). So I ope we'll see some pics soon. But that surely won't take place before january - so long to wait! Klaus-Dieter
KimT Posted November 16, 2008 Author Posted November 16, 2008 Thanks Christian I've added your post to the first post and will merge the info into the proper sets later. I'm busy calling a plumber to fix the drain between my appartment and the one above. Having dirty water dripping from your kitchen ceiling isn't a great experience
ForceMaster Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 Thanks, Christian!) Endor Battle Playset - The excellent set will be, I believe. Large enough quantity of parts. Possibly, there will be an Empire bunker, and also the defend generator. Spider-bikes. From minifigures there will be a Han, Leia, Luke in Endor wearing, pair empireals. And EWOKS!) Venator - hmm, I don't know that about it to tell. I think this set will be look like 6209. Include generator, hangar, cocpit, general's bridge (I don't know As is called on English!) and turrets. Figures... m-m-m-m... clones? Clones of a different rank) Separatist Shattle - what is it? Dooku's Solar Sailor? What, tell me? Interests, but I don't know that(
DarthPineapple Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 I'd really love it if there'd be a Tank droid and Venator! If the Echo base includes Tauntauns, Rebel SpecOps and Snowtroopers it would be great as well!
pr0visorak Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 Thanks for the update christian Wow! A venator I really hope they produce one! I think it will cost the same price as the star destroter playset! After all, both ship look very alike to each other
Matteo Kenobi Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 Ahh there is an endor battle set, my faith in TLC is renewed =] Glad to see the Venator has a decent amount of pieces as well as the endor set. The hoth base is proboly small, just something with taun tauns and maybe a hoth han and lea or something of that sort.
Skipper 24 Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 I hope the Venator is not like the play set and is a large UCS scaled type play set with mini fighters etc but no figs. Endor Playset sounds great it will most definetly come with ewoks or it will be a total failure in my eyes. For the hoth thing I think it will be the wampa cave with Luke, wampa, and some rebels and snowies.
Adam Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 Thank you, Christian! Mmmmm, Venator Class, tastes good! I hope, like Skippy, that it's a UCS type fighter with the necessary details. The Endor playset is having me jump up and down- it sounds incredible. Ewoks! EWOKS!

Athos Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 That's going to be one small Echo Base (that's the Hoth base, right?). Steve
Duke of Derby-shire Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 Endor is all I care about. EWOKS!!! :cry_happy: And the others, meh, they're okay. Although do we really need an Echo Base? If they'd done it right the first time...
Light Light Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 All those descriptions look the same for each. None the less, I hope these are all true.
Tinn-man Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 yay OT sets!!! I think the Millennium falcon might be fake, or a mini in the endor base or echo base, like vader's tie in the death star. The venator sounds cool, to. Even though I'm an ot guy, I might have to pick this one up.
SWMAN Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 These sound like nice sets except for the fact that there are more Clone Wars sets that OT sets. Lego is already releasing all CW sets in January. I would like to see more OT sets.
TheBrickHitHouse Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 Hmm..the Venator has less bricks than the '06 star destroyer ...while the '06 star destroyer looked good - it was...empty inside and with the most bizarre minifig choices I hope for a model that has more details and one that is far more sturdy....
Justin2224 Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 I hope that the Venator is like the Star Destroyer from 06, and with equal amount of figs, like this: Darth Vader/ Anakin Tarkin/ Admiral Yularen Imperial Officer/ Clone Pilot 2 Stormtroopers/ 2 Clone Troopers Royal Guards/ Ahsoka, Rex R2-Q5/ R2-KT Mouse Droid/ Clone Trooper Emperors Hologram/ Obi-wan Hologram The others sound good as well, ecspecially the Snail Tank, cant wait for pics.
Oky Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 I'm very curious about the Separatist Shuttle! I hope that it won't be more than $30 and will inlcude the magna guards from Lego world with the printed shoulders! A CW Dooku would be neat too! Emperors Hologram/ Obi-wan Hologram Dude! An Obi Wan Hologram would be sweet!
darkrebellion Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 Thanks for the new info Christian . The whole list sound great (A lot better than this year line up ) and the prices sound perfect with a bunch of cheap sets , congrats for that TLC. The only two things that surprise me are the next: 1- A 155 pieces Echo Base??? I prefer way better a Hoth Rescue with Hoth Han and Hoth Luke, 2 taun tauns, a Wampa and a little cave . 2- A Venator for just 1100 pieces??? Come on TLC the ISD had 1300 pieces and was a simple grey and triangle shaped ship. The Venator needs a complicate shape and a combined color scheme a they just throw 1100 pieces to it .
Mr. Crimson Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 Thanks Christian! Well, I think that the Venator will be somewhere along the lines of the Imp. Star Destroyer with all the greebles inside that opens up, came otu in 2006 - 2007... I am very excited aboutthe Endor playset. But there may still be a chance for Lego Tauntauns! It seems to me that the Echo Base will be along the lines of $10 - $20, maybe a battle pack!
Matteo Kenobi Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 Yes the Echo base is hoth, the Echo base is probobly not going to be a "base" but part of the base I imagine, my best guess would probobly be somesort of armory with taun tauns and a few figures, I think it will be pretty good and is going to be one of the first sets I'll buy

Lego is already releasing all CW sets in January. I would like to see more OT sets. I totally agree with you, SWMAN! It's really a pity that the - anyway not very numerous - OT sets are (despite from the redesign of Vader's TIE - ) firstly coming out in summer/fall. 1- A 155 pieces Echo Base??? I prefer way better a Hoth Rescue with Hoth Han and Hoth Luke, 2 taun tauns, a Wampa and a little cave . I partly agree with you, darkrebellion. On the one hand a Hoth rescue set would be more attractive. On the other hand it'll be nice to have some more troopers and equipment in addition to the Hoth Rebel Base. Imo it might be well possible that TLG will release a Hoth rescue set in 2010 or 2011. But surely not next year since that would mean that they'd have to make to new molds: one for the Tauntaun(s) and one for the Wampa. And until now there was maximum one new "animal" mold every year. But you give me the idea that it might be possible that we won't get any Tauntaun in the Echo Base set. Why? The set description only speaks of "deadline brick guns". If there is a Tauntaun included, wouldn't they mention so? Or do they only want to hide this information? I don't know. Klaus-Dieter
Justin2224 Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 (edited) 2- A Venator for just 1100 pieces??? Come on TLC the ISD had 1300 pieces and was a simple grey and triangle shaped ship. The Venator needs a complicate shape and a combined color scheme a they just throw 1100 pieces to it . The ISD did have that little escape pod and the launching mechanism, but youur right, 1100 doesn't seem like that much. Edit: (Don't want to double post) The Echo Base might be an add-on to 7666, Hoth Rebel Base, which would be neat, as long as it comes with something new. Edited November 16, 2008 by Justin2224

Looking at this pic link, the ship doesn´t looks like some kind of 1100 pieces ship, to be honest I think a 1400 pieces count would be alot better .
