KimT Posted December 14, 2008 Author Posted December 14, 2008 See the red and green stars in the pic? That means for AUST and NZ theyre limited release, so its likely they're exclusice other places too.................. I didn't know that. But do we normally see the limited sets in ordinary catalogues? Anyways exclusive/limited normally means TRU and there's plenty of those around.
Skipper 24 Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 Nice picture. I think it just needs a little rework on the top and it would be fine, oh yeah and the sail too.
hollisbrick Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 sweet i cant wait to get my hands on it hahahaha. well anyways it says FEB 09? could it be an exclusive? Yea it's an exclusive, for NZ and AUS Don't know the price, I'm guessing more than $40 less than $70 depending on pieces I kinda like it though and I would like some magna gaurds as well
natelite Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 Ahh...It's from the Australian Free Brochure IMO it looks alright, I'm guessing a $40 Aud set do you know where i can get a copy of the catalog? myers or david jones?
hollisbrick Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 do you know where i can get a copy of the catalog? myers or david jones? To tell you the truth when ever I find these it's by randomness. I've got these catalogues at Toyworld, Target, Big W and K-mart. I've never really seen it at Dj's or Myer but then again I go to those shops about 10 times a year. Just keep checking your local store. Normally there will be a stack of them!
Justin2224 Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 Honestly, I like it. It would be really cool if it came with that little sand blue speeder from the Jedi Duel set. It really doesnt look to bad, and this is only a prelim pic. Do yall remember the AAT prelim pic? This could be just like that, and if anything it could be a good brown parts pack.
darkrebellion Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 I personally like it . I don´t see it being really that small if you count that the "parachute" wings are open. I think the TLC could include some kind of sail but it would be pretty <insert that tiresome argument> (Personally I don´t mind if it is <insert that tiresome argument> if they gave us one ). Also maybe the speeder could be the blue one from Episode 2 . If it comes with a Dooku minifig then I will be happy, after all I bought the V-19 which just came with one minifig .
Tinn-man Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 wait a minuet, if this set is from episode II, then we will get a normal looking count dooku minifig!!! But, this could be a bad thing, because it wouldn't fit in with the rest of the clone wars minifigures. We'll just have to wait i guess. PS. I wonder if we'll see this hair piece again?Scroll Down About Halfway

simonjedi Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 I only think it looks bad because the wings are in "attack mode" and its a picture of the back of the sailer. reference pic: LEGO pic:
M'Kyuun Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 New folder on Brickshelf show box pictures of the new Republic Shuttle, including interior pics I'm a sucker for shuttles, and the exterior looks pretty good, its having been featured on the show a few times. From the pics, there doesn't seem to be a link between the wings; there's a locking mechanism inboard of the cannon nacelle/wing pivot, and it looks like the wings rotate freely. Just once, I'd like to see TLG invest one of their shuttles with proper folding gear and a boarding ramp. The interior is pretty cramped, and the little chair for Mace looks odd to me, but after the previous shuttle sets, I guess it's par for the course. Overall, I like it. I asked for a CIS landing craft, and I really hope they do make one. Granted, neither the MTT nor AAT will fit inside a System scale set, but I'd be happy if they made a mini-AAT , and filled the rest of the ship with droids and maybe a droid repair bay. the droids could be laid down horizontally in compartments throughout the wing and the wing could hinge up (like a tackle box). The Solar Sailer looks alright to me, but as others have pointed out, it's not the best angle to judge the set. While I doubt we'll get a sail, it'd be nice if TLG threw in a detachable sail. Still, they might surprise us with a folding sail; I try to stay optimistic at this point. I hope the speeder gets a rehash, but stays together a little better than Darth Maul's. TLG should make an element with 2 1x1 plates with open studs connected by a thin vertical piece like that featured on the motorcyle. It'd make a nice base to build any number of speeders.
Corvus Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 Hmm. It doesn't really fit the Solar Sailer, but if I view it as another, completely different ship, I like it. New folder on Brickshelf show box pictures of the new Republic Shuttle, including interior pics To be honest, I can't make out much of an interior. I'm not sure how high that 'ceiling' is, and there seems to be a bunch of stuff in the way. I guess I'll have to wait for a review or get it myself.
JimBee Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 New folder on Brickshelf show box pictures of the new Republic Shuttle, including interior pics Thanks, darthperson. Mace Windu actually doesn't look that bad, considering he's CW style. And this is only one of two sets that have a purple lightsaber blade.
TheBrickDaddy Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 I'm personally kind of disappointed with the Republic Attack Shuttle. It's too colorful, and there is almost no interior . I love the cockpit, though . Mace Windu is great could he have a cape) and one or two more clones or droids would have been nice. It should have been a little cheaper as well. I own the AAT and it's fantastic! Seven figs is awesome. It's my favorite 2009 set so far. Does anyone know much about the Hyena bomber? I haven't seen it at any stores.
Klaus-Dieter Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 (edited) Thank you very much for the new pic, commanderbly42 and darthperson for the new information! When looking at the first pic of the Solar Sailor I'd say it's too early to say whether it's a good or a bad set since you can't see details like the cockpit, minifigs, etc. But I must say that I'm a bit angry: There are appearing more and more non-OT sets for early 2009. So why do the (only-)OT fans of us (me of course included) have to wait so long until fall 2009 until the other OT sets will be released?! TLG could release at least one other OT set (like e. g. the Echo Base) in spring 2009! BTW: I don't see that clearly on the pic of the Republic Attack Shuttle but does it include a gangway on the bottom of the interior of the shuttle? Justin2224 Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 How much is the AAT in USD? The shuttle is a bit dissapointing, and could have a few more Clones, but I guess thats what the BP is for. MAce Windu looks pretty good, and the clones are still beast.
legopiotre Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 How much is the AAT in USD?The shuttle is a bit dissapointing, and could have a few more Clones, but I guess thats what the BP is for. MAce Windu looks pretty good, and the clones are still beast. I don't really like the new Windu face. I think the shuttle should come with one more clone pilot : it has far less minifigs than smaller sets. In the Imperial landing craft (which is about the same kind of ship), we had four troopers and one pilot. The solar sailor seems great, with a good design. Moreover, it looks fairly bigger than the geonosian fighter we get in 2003 although it should have the same size. I'm looking forward to seeing better pictures of it.
Light Light Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 I think the reason we are seeing more Clone War based sets is because TLG finally has the opportunity to make sets which are not remakes. Granted, some of them are (The AAT), but in some sense they are not because they are based off an entirely different representation than that of the 1st versions. I myself am interested in the Republic Shuttle and AAT. I've never had an AAT before. But, don't worry too much about a lack of OT sets, because we may be getting some very good ones this summer.
Tijn Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 dooku's star sailor is up on the brothers brick ...
Legoman Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 Yeah, it been up on here for the last few pages too...
TheBrickHitHouse Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 yey, the shuttle has an interior! I have been a bit dubious about the shuttle - after all, it didnt seem much different from the Tydirium or the Imperial landing craft and I've already got those But these pics have put my mind at ease
-JD- Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 The shuttle looks good. It reminds me of the Imp landing craft with the interior and fold up wings. Mace=SHWEET!
Hinckley Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 dooku's star sailor is up on the brothers brick ... Thanks for pointing this out, Tijn-and Mr. Mandalorian! Frontpaged
Skipper 24 Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 Nice shuttle picture find. I probably won't be getting it though because there isn't really anything new hear as I already have a Mace from the TT. And for those who complained about the interior I though it wasn't to bad compared to the imperial shuttle. But the big block on top looks like a waste of space to me. Did anyone else notice the missiles inside the shuttle next to where Mace was sitting?
