I dont have anything against the mon calamari idea but really. Why does everyone speculate that a ship would fit in it. I seriously doubt its gonna be that big. Just my thought. I do hope it comes with ackbar though.

I don't think that it would be an enclosed ship, but merely have a place you can put a ship, much like the Cloud City release.

Perhaps Lego sent them one for some reason or other. It looks pretty legit to me anyway. I just don\'t like it that it is rearing up so far back. But who cares, we have tauntauns (hopefully).

EDIT: Perhaps the body is pose able. Look the the top of the leg, to me it looks like the legs are one piece and the body another. like in the old dinosaur sets. Also if the Tauntaun is real so could this medic droid

My wishes about the future set's:

7748 Corporate Alliance Tank Droid ™:

A little cochlea tank, but better than the version in 2005 with a normal blue colour.

7749 Echo Base™:

Little play-set, with 2 Taun-Tauns (<- right writing?) and also the Yeti-Monster.

7753 Pirate Tank ™:

Difficult, maybe something from The Clone Wars tv series...?!

7754 Home One ™ Mon Calamari Star Cruiser ™:

Nooo. Why not Palpatines Arrest!!?? This set is also know: hangar-bridge, new A-Wing fighter, Mon Calamari figure(s).

7778 Mid-scale Millennium Falcon ™:

Sounded like a little set for collector (maybe UCS).

8036 Separatists Shuttle ™:

Clear...the know ship of the seperatist leaders. Could be with Nute Gunray.

8037 Anakin's Y-wing Starfighter ™:

The one from the tv series. With Anakin, Ashoka and R2-D2.

8038 The Battle of Endor ™:

A great Battle-set, with hopefull about 20 minifgures a big bunker and maybe an AT-ST.

8039 Venator-class Republic Attack Cruiser ™:

Also great set. With new minifgures like ship captains, another new jedi like Aayla Secura. Same like the Star Destroyer in 2006.

Would be great set's :cry_happy:

I manage to see the pics from the traders catalog of the following sets and this is what I can describe about the figures in the set...

7748 Corporate Alliance Tank Droid ™: 2 droids and 2 clones with jump packs (the jump packs looks like the classic space oxygen tanks but then they are prelim pics). The tank is basically gray (different shades) in colour.

7749 Echo Base™: One laser turrent with a trench wall. 2 hoth rebel soldiers, 2 snow trooper with one of them holding the "big gun" (Sorry, cannot remember what that thing is called, similar to the one found in the earlier MF) and 1 Taun-taun with, I believe, Han Solo on it.

8036 Separatists Shuttle ™: 3 droids, 1 "green" guy and another person in orange. Unfortunately, I cannot make out the 2 key minifigs as the pics are not very clear.

8037 Anakin's Y-wing Starfighter ™: Basically the design from the clone war animation with Anakin, Ashoka and R2-D2.

8038 The Battle of Endor ™: There will be the "back door" to the base in the forest as seen in the movies. There will be Han Solo, Leia (looks like a new torso, green), R2-D2, 2 rebel soldiers (in green and helmets as seen in the movies), 2 scout troopers with speeders, 2 ewoks(1 on a glider and there is also a catapult) and 1 AT-ST with Chewbecca on it. I cannot see clearly but there might be an imperial officer within the base.

8039 Venator-class Republic Attack Cruiser ™: At first I could not really make out who is that with the wavy hair and the 2 blue figures.... then I realised it is probably Chancellor Palpatine!! Plus the 2 senate guards (is that what they call them...) There will also be a clone trooper officer (I cannot see clearly who is that) and 1 clone trooper.

Unfortunately, there are no pics of the other sets mentioned above as the catalog only shows what will be released up to August.

That's great news if it is true. getting senate guards is really a good surprise.

The Battle of Endor set seems really good , with quite a lot of minifigs in it.

It seems TLG heard Lego fans' wishes !! :tongue:

this isn't just some joke is it? Or is it acctually real?

This is what I see in the catalog. I do not want to post the pics as they do have a "CONFIDENTIAL" stamped on it.

As for the minifigs in the Venator class cruiser, the pic I have is not very clear... so the figs are my best guess... I could be wrong.

They all soung great, ecspecially the Tank Droid. And these are the summer sets, correct?

Yeah, these are summer sets. But why the heck would Gunray be orange? That makes no sense! It's more likely he's the green guy and the orange guy is..?

EDIT: Oncada Farr was in one episode. I highly highly doubt he's in the set anyways.

The medic droid posted earlier is custom. It's Mark Borlase's from MOCpages.

Aaahh... I thought that he was referring to the head color. Which means there could be another neimiodian or something completely different. I guess there could be more minifigs on the Venator but as long as there are 8 I'll be happy. A lot of Clones would be good... or maybe possibly HOPEFULLY an Aayla Secura. I doubt it. But I really hope they're making Palpatine and the Senate Guards.

That'd sound good to me.. though what a waste for me to have made that custom Luminara then! :tongue:

And about the first official 501st troopers: ever heard of captain Rex? :tongue: Anyways, sounds good... but it looks like we may have to wait another year to see Phase 2 501st troopers, the most important part of Episode III! :sadnew:

I agree with you, seven figures would be preferable. However, the Republic Gunship contained five figures at $125 US price, versus the rumored $107 US price tag we have connected with the Venator-class Destroyer. Sadly, I have my doubts about receiving more than five figures in this set. As far as the figures, I would give my Hoth Base for a Commander Gree. And I would much rather get an Admiral Yularen and Commander Wolffe than a Chancellor Palpatine. Then again, Lego does have a history of including strange figures in their sets, like Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin in the SSD.
