CopMike Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Thanks Courleciel for the pics. The sets looks Okay (not ok-ey) to me, I don´t know so much about the Twilight so .... It looks like a new Jedi in it, maybe Shaak Ti? And another Hut baby ! copmike
Courleciel Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Thanks Courleciel for the pics. The sets looks Okay (not ok-ey) to me, I don´t know so much about the Twilight so .... It looks like a new Jedi in it, maybe Shaak Ti? And another Hut baby ! copmike Ashoka I think.
ADHO15 Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 The spider droid looks great and comes with great figs. The Twilight, however, looks rubbish and has the same figs as come in the AT-TE, except the astromech. I'll definitely get the spider droid, but not the Twilight.
Vaders_son Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Wow! The first set looks great, mostly because of the minifigs. Can't wait for that one! I imagine buying multiples of that.Second set 'Twilight' aka 'Stupid Flying Box' looks terrible. Thanks for the pics. Where did you find them? Chris is totally right in his post - first set GREAT, second CRAP. But thanks for the pics
trooperdavinfelth Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 The Twilight, not that spectacular, IMHO. It's just another big set to get Anakin, Ashoka, and Rotta, plus another(woohoo... ) blue Astromech droid. I'll consider it after I've seen the reviews. My brother may want to use it to modify it into some Clone transport... But he's paying for it... Oh yeah; I was just about to post this but I forgot what kept me from hitting the floor! JK; the Twilight isn't THAT bad... Anyways, HOLY HELL! IT'S A HOMING SPIDER DROID! With Commander Fox... Hey, are we seeing a connection here? They are giving us a Commander in each set where a clone is included(bar the V-19, but pilots don't need commanders. ) which OBVIOUSLY means they want us to... STOCK UP ON THE BATTLE PACKS OF CW CLONES THEY WILL RELEASE? Huh... Fat chance. BUT STILL! I see this as a point... Why else would they only market 1-2 basic clones in each big set? Because a smaller one will have tons of em'! Anyway, back to this wonderful droid: A new Commander, a clone, a battle droid commander, a battle droid, and an SBD. I'm hooked.
Trudop561 Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Here is the pictures of the nex sets:-The Homing Spider-Droid -The Twilight Enjoy! FINALLY! Thanks so much courleciel!
sam89 Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 I think both sets look decent. What type of Clone do you think that is the the Homing Spider Droid? And I don't think that's Rotta in the Twilight, it looks too small.
Trudop561 Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 The spider droid : It seems to be a limited edition set. There will be super battle droid(s), battle droid(s) and possibly a commander battle droid I think. For the clones, it appears to have one normal clone and one special clone, maybe another ARC trooper like cody or rex. The set itself looks cool, but not more. It seems to have many silver pieces and a cockpit to fit one droid in (I hope we'll be able to). The twilight : Limited edition set too. It includes the new anakin, ashoka, r2 and rotta. The cockpit looks too big and the wings too small if you compare with the CW trailers. However, it do not seems to have a display stand or mini base like the b-wing. Maybe that the bottom wing can rotate to right so the ship can land, I don't know. Can't wait to have clearer pics and reviews! I think both sets look decent. What type of Clone do you think that is the the Homing Spider Droid? And I don't think that's Rotta in the Twilight, it looks too small. Maybe captain rex!
Clonecommando007 Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 In one of the Clone Wars trailers, it shows Padme with what appears to be a Red/Purple alternated Colored Clone Trooper. Probably, I'm guessing, a Security Guard or something for her Senator Self, and Lego just decided that people would want another Clone Type and threw him into that set. The Spider Droid looks good; I'm gonna get it, and they added clones too! However the Twilight looks like a piece of...It looks like a star freighter crashed into a B-wing and they still fly together. It comes with the figs I knew we'd get in it, and they are in other sets too, and the ship itself is rather ugly, non-smooth, and probably not that swooshable. It looks like it would fall apart. Homing Spider Droid On!
robbo Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 The homing spider droid will be a welcomed addition to my separatist army as my clone forces were looking a little to strong, cant wait until i get my hands on this one. I will get the twilight to keep my collection complete. Great find, i love seeing the new pictures coming through, just hope they are not exclusive....i always hate the sight of yellow balloons on the boxes.
Ras 74 Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Thanks for these pics! Really looking forward to see better once. Guess we will see that at BrickWorld in Chicago in mid June. -Ras-
kill will Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 I wonder how much the spider droid will be, it seems to small for $30, but there are 5 figs.
Asuka Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Thank you very much, Courleciel. Both sets look pretty interesting to me, the big spidey looks very neat and I like that Twilight too. The B-wing´s always one of my favorite SW fighters, and to incorporate that design into an a little larger craft looks very promising. I wonder if there´ll be an interior or perhaps some special features with that ship....
commandosevy Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Thanks Tru.!!! I looks to me in the Homing Droid set has 1 super, 1 commander,1normal,1 clone,1 ARC. That makes it most likely Twilight:$35-$50 Homing Droid:$30-$45 Those are my predictions. Kill Will, the 7668 had 4 figs and costed $20, so the Homing Droid has 5 figs and a bigger model so it would be $10 more for it... considering the size of it.
Algernon Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Who cares about minifigs? Really? The sets themselves are much more interesting. The spider droid looks pretty good, and I'm gonna reserve judgement on the twilight until I see better pics.
Stealth Hunter Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 (edited) We get more clones with HSD!!!!! There even seems to be a red ARC in the set!! Many thanks for the pics,Courleciel! Edited June 3, 2008 by Stealth Hunter
Deinonychus Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Outstanding! I love that Spider Droid. Neither set looks as big or as expensive as I feared, so that's a good thing. And as much as I like unique and asymmetrical ships, the Twilight looks pretty boring. Rogue Shadow is a much better ship. Still, I'm looking forward to purchasing both
dunamis Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Thank you for the pics! Can't wait for more information.
james dofine Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 wow! the spider droid is so beautiful! i love it so much, can,t wait to get 1 or 2 ,or 50 if i have lucky. does anyone knows when the spider droid will be released?
Walter Kovacs Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Christ. Just how many new sets is TLC planning on releasing in this wave? Taking into account all of the speculation, it could be as many as 12 new models. (Magnaguard, V-19, Rep. Gunship, AT-TE, Twilight, Homing Spider Droid, Droid Gunship, TX-130, Death Star, MINI TIE Fighter, MINI Snowspeeder, MINI V-19) Even worse, most of those sets look like they are going to be more than $20 USD. Ohhh, my poor, aching wallet! That being said, the HSD looks great, from what I can make out from the blurry pics. The Twilight looks . . . like what you'd expect from a flying box. Still, I'll probably get both. The Twilight looks like it at least has a good part selection for MOCing.
Bobskink Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Is it the picture or are the boxes not recangular? They appear to bend on the left.
WhySoSerious? Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 (edited) Looooooooooks So nice i hope they come out soon Edited June 3, 2008 by Josh Madge
Stealth Hunter Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Is it the picture or are the boxes not recangular? They appear to bend on the left. I guess that´s the picture.
DoubleT Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Thanks sam Any word on the minifigs?, the one in the middle of the spider droid set seem new?
