Vader Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Check out Jeremy's posts here:http://threads.rebelscum.com/showflat.php?...b=5&o=&fpart=10 They imply that this news is real . . . I don't read it that way to be honest, seems to me jeremy isn't sure. Sure i hope it's true but if what i have been told is also true (a large set), then i doubt we would get 2 very big sets in the same line. :-/
sam89 Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Well, I think the comment "I'm getting old so my memory is vague..." says a lot. If he wasn't sure he would have just said so, IMO.

Lord Of Pies Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 A new RGS would be interesting, and 12 minifigs! Wait, whats that? I do beleive I just heard my wallet burst out crying!! :-D
baby Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 (edited) Well we can start saving for now just in case the news is true. It wont hurt to save right? :-) Looks like somebody has gone to the website to erase the sets away. . . |-/ kinda disappointed with that guy Edited October 30, 2007 by baby
baby Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 'Looking for a display name' do you think LEGO is crazy for putting 20 Droids for the MTT? As we all know, LEGO is now focusing on 'build your army' set right. SO it is possible for them to put that much minifigs in 1 set.
Vader Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Baby you have an edit button for a reason, we don't need double posts for these sort of posts.
Klaus-Dieter Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 THERE WILL BE A FEW MORE NEW SETS FOR LEGO STAR WARS THAT WILL RELEASE ON 2008. But i do not know 2008 when. The sets are 7673 Republic Gunship that comes with 3 Clone Troopers, 4 Clone Pilots, a Clone Commander, 2 Clone Leutenants, Yoda & Mace Windu, 7674 Sabre Class Fighter Tank that comes with 4 Clone Troopers & a Clone Sergeant, 7675 Sharp Spiral that comes with Saesee Tinn, & 7676 Durge's Starfighter comes with Durge, & Asajj Ventress :-D. Im not sure whether there will be so many minifigs for the Republic Gunship or not. Thank you for that information, baby! Since I'm only interested in SW episode 4-6 sets: Does anyone know if there will be some episode 4-6 sets in 2008?
Vader Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Thank you for that information, baby!Since I'm only interested in SW episode 4-6 sets: Does anyone know if there will be some episode 4-6 sets in 2008? Well from what we have heard it's unlikely, but with lego you never know. So at this point it's a case of wait and see.
xwingyoda Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Well we DO know there will be 8 CW sets to come out !! Apart from that its all speculations. Seeing what TLC is doing we can bet that there will be bigger sets with loads of MFs !! The Hoth Base is not really a big set but has load of MFs !! And in the big sets there can really be the AT-TE & RGS !! I m so hoping for a RGS myself ;-) We indeed want new figs and if that list is true its really great !! Speculate and hope ON !! *yoda*
baby Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Baby you have an edit button for a reason, we don't need double posts for these sort of posts. Hehe, sorry. Kinda new here. Actually i wanna quote a message from that i guy mention but it fails. o i just post a new reply. :-D . By the way, Hoth Base seems to sold out already in other country. They have the picture back but the status is sold out.

xwingyoda Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 *sigh* droids aren't minifigs there made up of elements yeay right :-| Of course they are Mfs !! And you know, what you refer as MF are made up of elements as well: legs, hip, torso, arms, hands head :-| *yoda*
Vader Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 yeay right :-| Of course they are Mfs !! And you know, what you refer as MF are made up of elements as well: legs, hip, torso, arms, hands head :-| *yoda* X-D :-D X-D Yep you are correct, though different there still elements at the end of the day.
natelite Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 X-D :-D X-D Yep you are correct, though different there still elements at the end of the day. you are both correct (imo of course). :-D see, it is easier to manufacture droids than mfs. droid parts are from simple molds. stamp or injection mold them and move on. mf parts are more complex. the arms to the torso are hard to do. same with the legs to the hip. they are first created, then put together by precision machines. it's definitely more costly to make one mf, than to make one droid. that's why the droids battle pack has more droids than the clones bp has clones. but yeah...droids are still considered mfs though they are cheaper mfs. :-P same goes for skellies and aliens. in fact, i think aliens are the cheapest of them all. 2 parts. all injection molded. a minifig in comparison has a head, a torso, 2 arms, 2 hands, hip, 2 legs. 9 parts, and that's without accessories.
baby Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Yea, thats why i think it is possible to have 12 minifigs for the republic gunship (IF there are really gonna be this set next year)
trooperdavinfelth Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Well well well. If Wikipedia is telling the truth(please do) then I think this RGS will be one helluva big ship. I mean, the original was tiny! So to speak. But I hope the new one will be much bigger, and I will definitely get the hovertank and Durge's Starfighter and Saesee Tinn's starfighter and the RGS and... Oh, wait. That's all of them.
The Kid Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Sure i hope it's true but if what i have been told is also true (a large set), then i doubt we would get 2 very big sets in the same line. Er, is this a set that we already know of, or is it a Secret Set? :-P *wacko* :-) TK
LEGOscum Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Well you could be right, like i said i hope you are as it would be great to get another. Hi all In my own defense I know what is and what isn't correct on that list. It could be that all of it is correct or none of it is correct. Or maybe 50%. I can't say more I'm afraid Jeremy
Vader Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Er, is this a set that we already know of, or is it a Secret Set? :-P *wacko* :-)TK Well it's not something on that list, it's big (think above the 80 euro mark) but that's all i can say. Of course it could be that my info is wrong, time will tell in this case like others. Hi allIn my own defense I know what is and what isn't correct on that list. It could be that all of it is correct or none of it is correct. Or maybe 50%. I can't say more I'm afraid Jeremy Jeremy thanks for kinda clearing that up, oh and i'm glad we could make you giggle ;-)
ExoBuilder Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 (edited) I can't wait to get some of those! Yay!! 100th post!! Edited October 30, 2007 by Exo-builder59
Klaus-Dieter Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 (edited) Well from what we have heard it's unlikely, but with lego you never know. So at this point it's a case of wait and see. If so that would be very bad. It seems that TLG forbears more and more from the original trilogy. That's very bad because there would be so much potential for new never released vehicles (e. g. Mont Calamari Cruiser, X-Wing Fighter Red One, Two, Four, ...), locations (e. g. Yavin, Endor, ...), buildings (e. g. Luke's or Obi Wan's home, Ewok's town, ...), minifigs (e. g. a huge range of imperial and rebel captains, lieutnants, commanders, ...) and other creatures (e. g. tauntauns, wampa, banthas, Mon Calamaris, Tusken Raiders, Ewoks, ...) and even for rereleasing some of the already released sets. Of course TLG must release products of new subthemes of SW, too in order to do not loose their customers. But forbearing entirely (apart from the 10188 Death Star) from episode 4-6 would be a bad decision because with this development Lego would loose a lot of customers - like for example me - , too. So we can only hope that there will be more sets from episode 4-6 than only the 10188 Death Star but the news until now (only one episode 4-6 set (Rebel Scout Speeder); the Imperial Dropship will include a Shadow Trooper as pilot -> very bad!; eight CW sets means that there is - if at all - very less room for other sets) leaves a lot to be desired! I don't say that sets which aren't from the original triology aren't nice - I think in contrast that some of them are surely as nice created as sets of episode 4-6 - but nevertheless I'm not interested in them and want to see new episode 4-6 sets! So, LEGOscum: Since I don't want that you get trouble only the question: Will there be more episode 4-6 sets in 2008 than only the 10188 Death Star? Edited October 30, 2007 by Klaus-Dieter

I can't say more I'm afraid Tks Jeremy for the heads up :-P (or lack off X-D ) I'm just sure you are laughing really at our guessing game :-P Anyhow its great to see you here ;-) I hope you will post more !! Cheers !! *yoda*
trooperdavinfelth Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Welcome to EB, Jeremy! I see your point, Klaus-Dieter, and it is a good one. So many people don't even know what EU is, and TLC(why do you call it TLG?) is throwing lots of customers out the window with the new stuff. I mean, sure, the stuff is great; good articulation, spiffy new figs and new heads(Vader's Apprentice is like an angry Luke or the Epi. 2 Anakin on the front of LSW 1), and new models, but TLC is literally leaping over the mounds of OT stuff left to be made! Heck, they've made more PT/EU figs than they've made of OT figs! They haven't even made a decent, possibly modular, Cantina! While I'm not a purist(OT only) I do agree with KD since I want both of them, not really placing my like on any of the subthemes!
