Vader Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 TDF: *sits down and sighs* Very well. I never said they didn't go back together. You can see his form re-forming itself as you see the clones and Obi-wan leave the building, Dude that's pretty much what you said, to reform means to go back together ;-) Anyway, I wonder: Will Saesee Tinn have a helmet like he did in the first Episode? Probably not, but it would be cool to see some innovative flip-hatching on an actual minifig head. Well lets hope so, though were getting a little ahead of ourselves at this point, as we don't know if there real sets yet or not. Some of these set numbers clash with what ive beeen told were gettng, so im not convinced just yet.
trooperdavinfelth Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 Hmm, if Lego will make a mondo-size RGS, then they should make a mondo-size AT-TE or something. The V-19 will probably be in the next wave of four. I wonder: Will Lego do what they did with Indy; give the sets out four at a time for two different periods, like maybe four sets for the first two Clone Wars, then four more for the new one?(which would probably be what we saw) And will Anakin's JSF be counted in the new wave, or will there be 9 CW sets overall?
Looking for a display name Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 what is mondo? and maybe a motorized at-te would be cool
natelite Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 Its Saesee Tiin's cool ship which looks like that: That is a set I would really love 8-
trooperdavinfelth Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 what is mondo?and maybe a motorized at-te would be cool Mondo basically means giant-sized. Yeah, but it would be much more intricate if each leg moved. Although TLC could be evil and make only four legs move with the middle two just limping along. Still, if Lego is making Sergeants, Lieutenants, pilots and what have you(IF, mind you) then an AT-TE is needed.

I thought Mondo was the twin brother of Lando. -Tohst, Seriously I wouldn't put it past them.
trooperdavinfelth Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 No, no, then Lando's cousin would be Mando, and that is just wrong on so many levels. :-P JK! Good one, though. X-D
zz-80 Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 fubared when it is legorized fubared? fuwhat? :-D Please explain. :-)This ship does look nice. :-)
Username_Taken Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 fubared? fuwhat? :-D Please explain. :-)This ship does look nice. :-) It's a term used in the movie Saving Private Ryan and possibly else where it means: "Fricked" Up Beyond A Recognition.
zz-80 Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 It's a term used in the movie Saving Private Ryan and possibly else where it means: Ah yes, I knew that I heard it somewhere. I chew over that term nearly ten years now since I saw Ryan and I never really figured what they could mean. Maybe german "Pfui Bah" but not sure and now I'm reading it here and hoped that anyone could explain it to me.
natelite Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 umm, it just means it is messed up beyond any recognition. so what i meant up there is that if this ship becomes a set the lego version will not resemble the original at all. hence the messed up beyond any recognition. *replace messed with another word starting with F to get FUBAR. :-P
zz-80 Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 Thanks. so what i meant up there is that if this ship becomes a set the lego version will not resemble the original at all I understood what you wanted to say. Just didn't get the fubar thing. ;-)Oh and yes, it might be a problem for TLC to design curved spaceships, but they improved over the time (at least the 2nd A-Wing and the 3rd? Slave-I looked OK :-D) Let's wait and see, it even isn't sure that we'll get that ship.
Klaus-Dieter Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 Sine nobody answered yet my question I put it here again: Does anyone know/think/speculate that there will be more sets from episode 4-6 in 2008 than only the Rebel Scout Speeder and the Death Star?
DoubleT Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 Sofar its not known, buy there may be suprises Klaus-Dieter
Vader Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 Sine nobody answered yet my question I put it here again:Does anyone know/think/speculate that there will be more sets from episode 4-6 in 2008 than only the Rebel Scout Speeder and the Death Star? I thought i had answered your question awhile back before you even asked it, when i said it looks unlikely that we would get anything else but Clone Wars sets.
Klaus-Dieter Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 Thank you for your answers, DoubleT and Vader! If there would be no classic SW sets in 2008 besides the Death Star and the Rebel Scout Speeder (which in a sense doesn't belong to episode 4-6) then 2008 will be a very poor year concerning Lego Star Wars!
zz-80 Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 (edited) The Death Star? You mean the Dropship, yes? Yeah might be a bad year for those who are only interested in 4-6, but all in all, we'll be getting some nice sets with the 6 that have been recently announced and why do you already judge 2008 when we still have to wait for the summer 08 and winter 08 releases? ;-) I'm also highly interested in OT sets, but with these two army builders I think that I can spend something between Edited November 3, 2007 by zz-80
sam89 Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 The Death Star? You mean the Dropship, yes? No, he's referring to 10188 Death Star which is coming out next year. It was briefly listed on LEGO's replacement parts service. We don't know what it is, but we a assume it's a minifig scale playset.
zz-80 Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 *wub* Didn't knew that! That sounds great. Hopefully with death star troopers. :-)
Brickmaster Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 (edited) These have probably already been posted, but im not reading through 30 pages to find out! The first page pics are abit old; so heres a file of some newer ones if you havent seen: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=281236 I love the army builders most *wub* Edited November 3, 2007 by brickmaster

Well i wouldn't say it's a poor year for SW, however i guess if you only want OT sets then it's not gonna be a great year for you. Though for those of us who love all SW themes it's gonna be great.
jedikermit Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 I'm trying to think of it as a year that I can: 1) Buy lots of those army builder sets 2) Save up enough to buy the Death Star 3) Buy all of the Indiana Jones and Batman LEGO I want So even if it is a slower Original Trilogy year, there will still be fun to be had.
xwingyoda Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 If there would be no classic SW sets in 2008 besides the Death Star and the Rebel Scout Speeder (which in a sense doesn't belong to episode 4-6) then 2008 will be a very poor year concerning Lego Star Wars! Bear in mind that we only know the january line up and the fact that we'll have 8 CW sets. Add to that that the january sets are never the best compared to the may and later releases and I doubt that we won't get 1 or 2 more OT sets ;-) I'm like you and want way more OT sets ;-) Though for those of us who love all SW themes it's gonna be great. Yep that is so true !! When I came out of my dark age I felt like Klaus and wanted solely OT sets but I really come to love nearly all what have been made (I said nearly because of those darn ep2 clones :-P ). I want news badly now looooool *yoda*
