JimboJones Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 we need to talk about more recent upcoming sets rather than wiki. if you believe the ones I put up with the 4 battle packs and 2 playsets, then i dont think you've realised that everything on the 2009 wiki list is fake. some may be true by coincidence but speculate on everything other than wiki

Now I think we can all move on and discuss what should be discussed in this thread. Hopefully this comes as good news to most. It certainly does for me.

Wow, Star Wars and Pokemon combined! Could we be seeing a new theme Just kidding.. I don't think I can afford a lot of the AATs. Lately, TLG has focused more on the CIS than the Republic in my eye. I am over run with CIS units and vehicles that I wouldn't mind a Republic only wave. One, maybe two AATs is enough for me. But don't worry about the Tan BDs, they will make a come back. For now, enjoy the idea of dark red BDs. Mmmmmm...

I forgot the Tan tinny in the AAT, and yeah, there should be an all republic wave with Republic Star Destroyer and... Oh wilt wrong thread for that. But I don't like the dark red droid, maybe they'll be good for something else.

The most of you supposably already know my attitude towards these sets - consequently it doesn't make sence to repete always everything. Only for short after having seen the pics of Vader's TIE Advanced: Don't take it personal, TLG, but this set firstly is really unnecessary - the most AFOLs supposably already own a TIE Advanced and for JFOLs it's really uninteresting since there is (in contrary to the classic set(s)) no "enemy" included to fight against it. And secondly the content of this sets is a shame - the only minifig which comes with it is Darth Vader ( ), no new minifig (e. g. an Imperial Engineer would have been a very good idea) and no additional stuff. Does TLG really mean that a lot of people will buy this set only because of it contains grey instead of blue pieces?! As for the rest of 2010 I really hope that TLG will release more (mainly until now never released) OT sets with more additional stuff and some great new minifig characters! I can't deny that these CW are very interesting, very well designed and include a lot of great new minifig characters. Just only this information he got: The list are not made from a person, which founded out news. But it's true that the official 10 years of LEGO STAR WARS-Set is the: Tantive IV. Most of the fans will see it. So it coast about 170$ and have about 1660 pieces. It's a great playset with the minifigures of Darth Vader, Princess Leia,1 Rebell Soldier, 1 Rebell Commander (with this special outfit), R2-D2 and a special Minifgure that isn't official public yet. Also, I think a Super-Mega-Omni-Anniversay set would represent one very famous scene. The Tantive IV battle doesn´t seems to be very famous. Just the part, when the ship flies across the picture. A Super-Mega-Omni-Anniversay set would be cool, if it´s the party in the Ewok treevillage, with exclusive Obi-Wan, Sebastian Shaw and Yoda ghosts.

And Klaus-Dieter, the TIE Advanced will be a major collectors item, since it's 10th anneversary. Heck, I'm getting two; one to build and play with and the other to collect dust gain value. A Tantive 4 would be absolutely amazing! :wub: It's the really needed "antagonist" to the great minifig-scaled ISD from 2006. And with the Rebell Commander now we finally would get a commander for the Rebels who really missed in the Rebel Scout Speeder. And about the special minifigure: I think it's surely Lieutenant Pello Scrambas or a silvern 3PO. A new Imperial Officer in black suit would be awesome, too. Most sites voted for the Palpi set and besides that, we´ve got this picture from a LEGO Store display case. Looks like Palpi hair to me.

I personally would to see a re-release of this iconic ship because I miss the last one and this is probably minifig scale . The only thing that just dissapoint me is that this scene miss a lot the possiblity of a really new minifig (A rebel commander would be much likely a rebel trooper with red torso ) and the "special minifig" surely is not something that new . It almost looks exactly identical to Palpatine's hair in the video game, only with slightly better features. Also, when will that set be released? Is it at the beginning for '09? Or more towards the end?

Or more towards the end? The chosen set is going to be officially announced in February 09 and I believe it will be released around summer or fall 09
