Derek Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Personally, I think the orange on the BP boxes clashes with the rest of the great CW packaging. They should change the backround to something more dull, like Christophsis or like the Droid Gunship box, to bring out the colors of the sets. Just my humble opinion....
SWMAN Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 (edited) Hopefully we can see some cleaner shots of the box art soon. Right now, the colors look faded and the orange clashes, but better pics should take care of that. I would also like to see the tops and sides just to clarify what figures are in each. I also like how the Tie Fighter has the new anniversary design, with the words on the bottom and the original box design on the top. It is nice to see them combine old with new for the anniversary sets. Can't wait to see the rest of them. Edited September 4, 2008 by SWMAN
Bobskink Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Nope, no Whorm in the AAT. Maybe you get a new Yoda, but I think nobody wants to see him .But I´ve got new pics (nah, not this new...) http://www.cheyenne-mountain.com/Bilder/IDS/sw1.jpg http://www.cheyenne-mountain.com/Bilder/IDS/sw2.jpg The Mace Windu on the box on the bottom left is not the same as the one as the one on the right top of the box. So defenaitly things will change. I wonder which way, grey torso or tan torso.
Justin2224 Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 It should be DARK Tan. Mace only had Tan in Episode I. He never had grey, and had Dark Tan in II, the Clone Wars, and III. So I want Dark Tan really bad.
TheBrickHitHouse Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Darth Vader's TIE has too much black what the hell is wrong with Lego? First it was blue, now black Why cant we get it in the same colours as the film?? Worried about the droid bomber - that needs stickers! ...and 6 minifigs for the AAT, how much will this cost?! - i cant imagine the brick count will justify it
-JD- Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 I suppose it will cost as much as the Clone tank. Around £40/$50. Lego, for your own good, LOWER THE DAMN PRICES!!! Please?
Oky Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 It should be DARK Tan. Mace only had Tan in Episode I. He never had grey, and had Dark Tan in II, the Clone Wars, and III. So I want Dark Tan really bad. I actually want brown. He is usually seen wearing that brown robe with only a little bit of dark tan showing in the middle.
The Rancor Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 ...and 6 minifigs for the AAT, how much will this cost?! - i cant imagine the brick count will justify it Unfortunately, the box looks the same size as the V-19 Torrent and Fighter Tank
The Who Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 (edited) I don't know if it's just me or what, but it kind of looks like a second fig on the top of the tie box. Edited September 4, 2008 by booger540
Navy Trooper Fenson Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 I don't know if it's jut me or what, but it kind of looks like a second fig on the top of the tie box. It´s you. I see just Vader and a few close-ups. @ thebrickhithouse: It costs 50€ in Europe. Most sets that cost 45€ to 50€ do cost 40$ in the US. I think it´s something around 40$.
Kynergy Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 On the AAT box, if you notice, it comes with 3 super battle droids rather than one shown on the prelim pics. And it also looks like it comes with 2 normal battle droids, it shows on the top of the box. Just thought I'd add that.

I actually think the TIE looks great. It's quite accurate and I wouldn't know how to make a better one. Then again, I'm not a master MOCer. And, yes, the AAT will unfortunately be pretty expensive But at least it will be a good army builder! Justin2224 Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Well if NTF is right, the AAT is only $40. And for $40, then it'll br a great army builder indeed.
Light Light Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 I personally can not wait for the AAT. I never got one of the original Ep I AATs, so this re-release is quite pleasing to me. I do like the blue and gray coloring, fits in nicely with the other CIS units (Tank Droid, Spider Droid, Gunship). The bomber is ok with me. Actually, it reminds me of the TIE Bomber with how wide it is, and how it has the two heads, similar to how the bomber had two bodies. Just needs some stickers, and it'll look great. I think thats the reason why is doesn't appeal to most people, no real detail. If we don't get any stickers, just pick up some to the Vulture droid from the Ep 3 set.

IT'S DAMN GREY AND BLACK IN THE MOVIE! Besides, there was black in the blue model! For pete's sake, 40 bucks is a bargain for the AAT if it has a new Yoda, Loathsom(I still trust to Ahsoka), 3 SBDs, a B-1, and a clone.

It is obviously Yoda. Edited September 5, 2008 by amateur newbie
Scouty Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 I really like the Boxart of the Exclusive Darth Vader's TIE Fighter Advanced. Bringing back the old Star Wars logo is really cool! It looks like Yoda has a new, short (real-life one handed hilt) hilt?

Grey and black...really? and $40 would make the set £50 in the UK - thats $110 - see my point?

Bringing back the old Star Wars logo is really cool!It looks like Yoda has a new, short (real-life one handed hilt) hilt? Yes, Vader's box does actually look really good. And upon close inspection, Yoda's head looks like more of a lime green than a sand green. His ears look longer too.
Justin2224 Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 The prelim pics are always a little different than the actual pics and those box pics are obviously prelim as well. Mace's troso is different in both pics on the box, and yoda has Obi-wans Episode III torso. They should make Yoda all brown and give him a small cloak like Unknown Artists'. They should do that with all the Jedi, since they dont wear capes. I am sorry to say, but I am 90% sure we aint gettin' Loathsome.
trooperdavinfelth Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 Just so you know the whole Loathsome rumor was started by ashoka's freind(bob or bill idk) saying he saw a green guy that looked like a jedi. Everone assumed it was General Whorm. It is obviously Yoda. Except for these two facts: 1. Aliens have a tendency to look like Jedi. 2. He mentioned this character ASIDE from Yoda which is why we assumed it was Whorm because we ALREADY knew, due to the rumor, that Yoda was in the set. Grey and black...really? and $40 would make the set £50 in the UK - thats $110 - see my point? THERE. It's grey and black. How does it being 50 pounds take it from $40 to $110?
Justin2224 Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 Sure as hell better not be $110. That would not be cool. But we know it's $40
Light Light Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 They should make Yoda all brown and give him a small cloak like Unknown Artists'. They should do that with all the Jedi, since they dont wear capes. What cloaks are you speaking of?
Navy Trooper Fenson Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 (edited) THERE. It's grey and black. It looks more like sand blue, for me. @ booger: The Yoda head is actually the same head like from the other Yodas. High-res AAT pic: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Tompo/qw...ets/8018-10.jpg normal Yoda pic: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/carrysky...nifigs/yoda.jpg But I think that they will change the Yoda head. Who wants ugly TCW Yoda?^^ Edited September 6, 2008 by Navy Trooper Fenson
Bobskink Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 It's strange that when Lego makes the Tie Fighters more realistic everybody starts complaining, it's not really the biggest change they have done so far. I think this is finally a good change.
