Justin2224 Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Well, most of those sets have apeared on Jedinews and Brothers Brick. So I see that they are probable.
JimBee Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Thanks for the find Justin Part One: Confirmed sets We basically knew all of this already. The prices (particularly the AAT) almost seem to good to be true. Part Two: BM exclusive/ Palpatine's arrest We already knew about the Mini Republic Star Destroyer. The Palpatine's arrest set sounds... realistic, but I am still bummed out that they (so far) have decided to include a Royal Guard instead of Saesee Tinn and Agen Kolar. Don't be such cheap-a**es, Lego! Part Three: Solar Sailor- sounds realistic, and I would snatch it up right away. Hopefully it's not Clone Wars style. Republic Y-Wing- We've heard of this before (along with the Salior), and it sounds good. I'm estimating around $30 if it's true. I remember somebody bringing up the possibility of this set much earlier this year, in April or May. Hoth and Endor Playsets- Despite me being a PT fan, I would really want these. The Endor troopers sound good, and I could get lots of much-needed foliage out of it. I've also always wanted some Snowtroopers, and I missed out on previous opportunities. Although I do think that the Hoth playset has less of a chance of being true, considering we got a smaller version last year. Millennium Falcon- We've discussed this before. In my opinion, TLG is just overdoing it. I wouldn't buy one anyway though, no matter how many times they do it over again (I'm a PT fan). Republic Star Destroyer- Yet again, we've already heard of this. I would love for it to be true, as long as it's not UCS. The chances for this to not be Clone Wars are small. Part Four- Captions (at the end, he put in a few captions of sets he forgot to mention) Ashoka's Fighter: Sound's realistic, I might get it, depending on what the fighter looks like. Tri-Droid: A must-buy for me, plus another chance at Rex (although I probably will get the At-TE). So, all in all, we've known most of this already, and this guy is probably just taking other rumors from here, wikipedia, and other sites. Although I hope this list is true. The music was good, though.

I think they will add Kolar and Tinn, or there will be a lot of P.O.ed fans. I would rather have a Clone Wars version of Dooku, but as long as he's in flesh, I'm happy. And the Falcon had about a half a minute of screen time in Episode III, so it could include: Young Han Young Lando and some of Han and Lando's friends

And why would Han even own it at the time? Or know Lando? Considering Luke's age in Ep. IV, where would that put Han at at the end of Ep. III? Really REALLY young? DSR
Navy Trooper Fenson Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Han is around 3 or 10 years old. I don´t think he has a driving license to this time. The new Falcon must be from Episode 6 with General Lando, Nien Numb, Airen Cracken, Lt. Blount, Ace Azzameen or when they don´t want to make Endor Rebis: the Unidentified man in green firing turret. P.S. I believe that just the things from "THE" list are comming, and there wasn´t a TRI Droid. P.P.S. It would be very cheap to don´t make Agen and Seasse, because they showed a picture as an example what would be made, that showed AGen and Seasse. And we would burn Kirks house to the ground, if they don´t make some new Jedi.

Commander 501 Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 But when Palpatine was arrested, the guards were dressed in red, as we already have them, so there won't be different guards i suppose...
CloneMe Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 The melenium falcon is in episode 3. Its shown flying off. Han got it from Lando who probably got it from someone in cloud city.
Andrex Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 (edited) Yea it's a shame about the Palpatine Arrest having so few minifigures. I hope the set itself makes up for the unoriginal character choices. The Hoth and Endor play sets sound brilliant, I hope they turn out to be real. As for the Millenium Falcon, that sounds great to me. Only because I never managed to grab one in the past ^^'. 10 minifigures sounds great to me, especially after the high price of the UCS one released previously. Plus as much as I adore the Death Star play set, I simply cannot afford it. I'm still in need of figs of all the main characters from the OT, with Luke, Han, Leia and Chewbacca. This could be my opportunity to grab them! Republic Star Destroyer..? Meh. I'm not really a PT fan, bring on the OT sets! I look forward to seeing the minifigs though. -- Andrex Edited September 14, 2008 by Andrex
Oky Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 The melenium falcon is in episode 3. Its shown flying off. Han got it from Lando who probably got it from someone in cloud city. Really? I didn't notice that. Was it at the end? Or was it a deleted scene? From where does it fly off? However, I think it's very unlikely that they would make a set from that scene. But I could imagine it to be an episode IV set (either Mos Eisley with attacking stormies or DS hangar with some of the figs from the DS playset) or an episode V Cloud City themed set with Han, Leia, Chewie, 3PO, Lando, and maybe Lobot. I really wouldn't care, though, since I already got the last minfig-scale Falcon and am very satisfied with it. Btw, Palpy's Arrest is not a BM exclusive (whatever that may stand for - it can't be BrickMaster since BrickMaster only gives you minis with max. 1 fig), it's a TRU exclusive. Just to avoid any confusion.
Matteo Kenobi Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 When was it concluded that Kolar and Tinn wouldn't be in Palpys arrest, I know it said so on wiki that a royal guard was in there instead of the two but we all know how un reliable wikipieadia is, that was a dissaster. I refuse to believe those two will not be in the set, for alot of people it would really ruin the whole set, I think they will be in there...they better be that is.
SWMAN Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 The Falcon would be from one of the three OT films. Might end up being from Episode IV because we have gotten one from 4 and 5. That would be sweet because they could get away from the usual figures of Han, Luke, etc... and give us people like Lando and Nien. The Arrest would definitely have all four Jedi in it. I am disappointed that this won. It has a very specific number of figures and items that can be included, unlike something like the Mon Cal cruiser that could have a bigger variety. I believe that people are a little too obsessed with Jedi sometimes. I like them as much as the next, but I think a Mon Calamari would be a lot better than a new Jedi. No offense to anyone.

We don't actually know which one won as of yet. As said before, we'll know in February next year - all we're hearing right now is wishful thinking.
Matteo Kenobi Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Well the thing that really would dissapoint me if we got the Home one is that we would only get a section of the ship, which is really somewhat pointless to me, and we still may get Mon Cal with a CW sets since Kit Fisto has a Mon Cal padawan and if people want they could make they're own ackbar.

I like them as much as the next, but I think a Mon Calamari would be a lot better than a new Jedi. No offense to anyone. Ah, it's true, people (including me) get obsessed with Jedi. But I'm glad that this won. I've been wanting this set since the movie came out, and I just want those Jedi. If TLG decides to include them (which they WILL ), that leaves Aayla Secura and Ki-Adi Mundi (and maybe Adiala Gallilia, the female Jedi on a speederbike during Order 66) for TLG to make of the side Jedi. Plus, I'm a PT fan.
Bobskink Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 at least the Boba Fett obsession didn't won
Klaus-Dieter Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 (edited) I thought that the person which presented us this list with the Millenium Falcon on it announced himself that the list was wrong. And if the information of the Tantive 4 is right - I don't think that TLG will release another 150-... € set for OT next year. at least the Boba Fett obsession didn't won Regrettably that seems to be right, Bobskink. I know that the most of you would have found it boring to get another Slave 1. But since I only own the old version and not the newer one I really would have liked a redesign/rerelease. Plus we perhaps would have had the opportunity to get a Boba Fett minifigue with an antenna on his helmet, new guns and at the best a new bounty hunter minifig. Let's see - perhaps TLG will release a redesign in some years since the Slave 1 is one of hte important vehicles of the OT. So I'll have to wait. Well the thing that really would dissapoint me if we got the Home one is that we would only get a section of the ship, which is really somewhat pointless to me, and we still may get Mon Cal with a CW sets since Kit Fisto has a Mon Cal padawan and if people want they could make they're own ackbar. On the one hand I agree with you, Matteo Kenobi. Like it was mentioned in this chat we were aible to read about two months ago TLG does regrettably not plan to make a whole ship. On the other hand I disagree with you since in the same chat it was mentioned which minifigs could be included - and these were definetly from episode 6. I personally think that there will be two TRU Exclusives next year (like last year the RC and the Hoth Rebel Base): The Palpatine's Arrest and the Home 1 playset. As for the Palpatine's Arrest set I don't think that there'll be included more than one new minifig (if it's about 60-80 Euros) - meaning perhaps: Palpatine, Anakin, Mace Windu, two Imperial Royal Guards and a new Jedi minifig. As for the Home 1 playset (of it's released) I don't think that there'll be included more than three new minifigs (if it's about 100-110 Euros) and not more than seven-eight minifigs total: Ackbar , Mon Mothma , 2x Endor Rebel Trooper , A-Wing Pilot, mechanic, Lando/Endor Leia/Han/Luke. Oh no, I agree with you entirely. I'm an OT fan myself, and I'm not so keen on all of the Jedi. I like the diversity of characters, not just loads of people with lightsabers, as awesome as they are. Mon Calamari would have been awesome =(. Still, the Falcon sounds brilliant. I'd want it to come with all the regulars, plus a few new characters. Considering I don't have a Falcon already, it'd be an essential purchase. I've not really bought a Lego Star Wars set since.. well.. it may well have been years! I've been saving my money for other things. If this catches my eye, I may well grab it ^^ providing the price is right. -- Andrex
Light Light Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 I pray to god that there is no new Falcon. Couldn't afford one then, certainly can't afford one now.
Andrex Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Then so our prayers collide! I may have run out of space in my room, but this set sounds like a must have, and it may well be the last one I'll ever buy! May the best man win . -- Andrex
TheTacoMan Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 I would like some new OT sets, but ANOTHER falcon? Isn't there like 3 already?
Matteo Kenobi Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 As for the Palpatine's Arrest set I don't think that there'll be included more than one new minifig (if it's about 60-80 Euros) - meaning perhaps: Palpatine, Anakin, Mace Windu, two Imperial Royal Guards and a new Jedi minifig. The price point for this particular TRU exclusive is $100, no matter if its Palpys arrest or homewone. So for $100, looking at other $100 star wars sets, and especially since this has real emphasis on FAN CHOICE, it would include, Mace, Palpy, Anakin, Kit (no new head mold there), Tinn and Kolar, now it could be just using a hat or headpeice like they did ahsoka, no new real head mold. And they could easily get a way with old bodys and everything. Now thats 6 figs, the $100 ISD had 7 figs not incuding the mouse droid and astromech droid. So its safe to say since these are new molds, 6 is a good number. And I know we all would be happy with that. If they want they could even throw in a royal guard or two but we have to remember this a jedi based set and a key point in the entire saga containing key characters. So cutting those two out would be a big bummer. Now the Home one has alot more variety in characters to chose from, if we did get this set I would personally want them to break away from the old luke han leia chewie and give us Mon Mothma, Lando, Ackbar, a Mon Cal worker, maybe a few troopers as well, that to is a new head mold and if we get Endor troopers there would be new bodies to make and design and things like that.
JimBee Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 The price point for this particular TRU exclusive is $100 $100 for Palpatines arrest sounds like a little too much. Even with 6 figs, small sets have included a minifig count more or close to that, like the HSD (5). My guess is that the arrest will include a desk, a few chairs, a statue or two, and a special breaking window feature (along with Mace, Fisto, Tinn, Kolar, and Palpy, and maybe Anakin), which is fine for me. That'll come out to around $40-50, I think. Unless they decide to include Anakin and that luxury cruiser, which will add to the price by about $30. Either way, I think $100 for this set is a bit much.

Not to mention a hallway where Palpatine told Anakin that he was his sith lord, it should be pretty well designed with "paintings" on the wall a statue of some sort that I seem to recall being in the movie. oh and a landing pad for Anakins Speeer. Starting to sound like $100? I imagine it will be very VERY well designed as it should be, and im really excited to see what comes from it.
JimBee Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Hm, while you are right about those things being in the movie and how TLG should design it like that, they most likely won't. Just look at the Hoth base for example. It's just a door, a speeder, and a turret, with no control room, healing quarters, landing bay, or anything. But I do wish that TLG would do these sets completely and thoroughly, at the risk of being expensive.
