Matteo Kenobi Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Well that is true, but I think the hoth base is a bad comparison, I mean if they added $50 to the price point and added $50 worth of more stuff, do you think it would be better? Yes, i do.
sgt stickey Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 I cant wait for the new clone troop pack!
Corvus Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 $100 bucks? It'd have to have the whole freaking senate building for that! ...hmm... Not such a bad idea. It would have been nice to get a Boba Fett designed like the clones, I.E. actual helmet, antenna, EE-3 blaster. Sigh.... If only we had a cloud city playset.

If only we had a cloud city playset. That is a great idea. 1. I would love a new cloud city playset, with the old figs and/or new ones. 2. Boba's helmet designed like a colen helmet would rock, especially with a built-in antenna like the clones. 3. It would rock even more if the helmet could detach from the jetpack, that way we could use the jetpack for the ep.2 jet trooper, like in battlefront 2. EDIT: I just noticed that this is my 66th post--which reminds me--some order 66 sets would be cool too. Edited September 16, 2008 by booger540

Yes, i do. Yes, that's exactly my point. TLG could do an awesome, full-fledged set, which I would very much like, but they probably go the cheap way. How is the Hoth base a bad comparison? They do this with a lot of sets. Another example is the Republic Cruiser. The "escape pod" in this set is actually supposed to be sixteen-person conference room. While it would be much more expensive, it would be the complete way. I'm not sure whuch one I prefer, depending on the set.

None the less you are right, hopefully they will use this opprutunity to and not go the cheap way and make this set awesome. Hopefully they can pull it off.

EDIT: I just noticed that this is my 66th post--which reminds me--some order 66 sets would be cool too. Like people were saying earlier, some Order 66 sets would be great. Not battle packs, but maybe two or perhaps three 20-30 dollar sets. Except felucia, of course- $100, AT- transport thing. ( drools...) Except that they'd have to switch back to Ep. III helmets, and that'd get confusing to the kids right after they had Ep. II helmets again... Well thats true, but with something of that sized it would be hard to do. None the less you are right, hopefully they will use this opprutunity to and not go the cheap way and make this set awesome. Hopefully they can pull it off. Except that TLC already did it cheap- I didn't buy it because it wasn't worth the $50 price point, oh, wait, $60 dollar price point since it was a TRU exclusive. I think that they could've added on $20 dollars worth more stuff while only raising the price point $10. Though, since we might get an Endor set sometime soon, I hope TLC focuses on that and comes out with something amazing. Let's brainstorm: 1. Trees (duh... ) 2. People: Main characters, Han, Leia, Wikkit, 3P0, R2, some Stormies to fight, some ewoks... 3. Bunker. 4. In one on the trees, put a small Ewok platform. Nothing spectacular, but fire, 3P0's chair, his signs he has in the game. 5. AT-ST 6. Ewok stuff. Catapult, the impossible glider.... ...But I'm not sure how they'd do it. Lego seems to have forgotten baseplates, and to have a worthwhile Endor scene we'd need trees and shrubbery and a bunker for them to fight at.
ptdapen Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 I would love to have the entire Senate building. Could have some nasty politics in the works and the many clone troopers that I have take them away. Or maybe they'll make a very, very, very huge version of Palpatine's room, with loads of paperwork (holowork?) That's my wishes for the Palpatine's Arrest that we finally have a proper building.
-JD- Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 I hope we get these figs in the Palpy set: Palpy (double sided face) Ani (double sided face (evil, non evil)) Mace Kolar Tinn Fitso 2 BLUE royal guards (the red ones are elite) Holographic Commander Cody FIGURE (not sticker) *drool* Accesories: Lightsabers, lightening, staffs, blasters and speeder. It would be funny if they made a second speeder with an alien, zooming past the window and hitting Mace as he falls to his death. J
Klaus-Dieter Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 The price point for this particular TRU exclusive is $100, no matter if its Palpys arrest or homewone. Thank you very much for that information, Matteo Kenobi! I thought that the 100 $ were only for a possible Home 1 playset and for the Palpatine's Arrest it would be less. But now I know that I was wrong. Ok, but 100 $ (about 150 Euros? since prices for SW sets are in Europe sadly much higher than in the US) for the Palpatine's Arrest set sounds very much. So eihter this set would include a lot of stuff like: Palpatine's office with breaking window, Anakin's speeder, some sort of part of the Senate building and as minfigs then Yoda, too. Or TRU and TLG are really thinking of making two sets: A Palpatine's Arrest set for about 60-80 Euros and a Home One playset for about 100-110 Euros. I personally don' think that this idea is too far away. Only think about that indeed the Palpatine's Arrest had more votes than the Home One playset. But the Home One playset was close to it. So if I am TLG or TRU, I would release both sets. Then all "only PT/CW" fans and all "only OT fans" (like me) get what they want - and those who collect PT, CW and OT would surely buy both sets. Don't you agree or rather wouldn't you do it like that, too, if you are TLG or TRU?! Klaus-Dieter

Lego seems to have forgotten baseplates, and to have a worthwhile Endor scene we'd need trees and shrubbery and a bunker for them to fight at. I totally agree with you, Mr. Mandalorian! I hope that TLG will release a very nice Endor Battle playset next year, too. In general: Endor Battle playset doesn't necessarily mean that it has something to do with the planet Endor - only with the battle. So we might get a set with an B-Wing/A-Wing and a TIE Interceptor and/or TIE Fighter, too. But surely I hope - and even think - that TLG wouldn't be that crazy. Hoping that this set will show the battle on the planet Endor it surely has to include: -some trees -bunker -Han, Leia As for the other contents it depends on how much this set costs (if it's very expensive it might probably include a suggestion of a part of an Ewok Town - like you already proposed - too, but I personally would prefer a whole seperate Ewok Town set in the following year(s)), what TLG does think is more demanded to include (e. g. AT-ST with Chewie or an Ewok catapult with one or two Ewoks) and which other sets they plan to release in the future (e. g. if they plan to release some kind of Imperial Endor BP and Rebel Endor BP it's very unsure if they then include in the Endor Battle playset some Endor Rebel Troopers and/or some Scout Troopers with speeder bikes). I wich that TLG will include some Death Star Troopers in this set, too, since firstly people which can't afford to buy the DS (like e. g. me, too) then get the opportunity to buy and own some DS Troopers, too (secondly it would be more profetable for TLG to include DS Troopers in more than only one set) and thirdly because these DS Troopers play an important role in this scene since they have to switch on and out the protection shield of the DS and they help to arrest Han, Leia and the other Rebel Troopers which came with them. And I wish that TLG will - at long last - include a new black Imperial Officer minfig, too, since firstly more different Imperial Officers are really needed (we sadly only have two different types until now ) secondly more different Imperial Officers are at the OT fans in high demand and thirdly because this black Imperial Officer plays an important role in this scene since he is the one who commands all the Imperials in the Endor Bunker and he is the man who arrests Han, Leia and the other Rebel Troopers which came with them, too. So let's be surprised what we'll get. Klaus-Dieter Edited September 16, 2008 by Klaus-Dieter
TheTacoMan Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 Endor battle needs to have 2 speederbikes and an AT-ST AT LEAST to be worth it.
SWMAN Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 Endor battle needs to have 2 speederbikes and an AT-ST AT LEAST to be worth it. I think all it needs to be worth it is some new rebel troopers and Han, Luke, and Leai in Endor outfits. I personally think it will also include 2 speeder bikes, but instead of an AT-ST the actual bunker. Hopefully they don't pull the same thing as with the Hoth set and only have the doors.

You forgot about the scout troopers. There a big part of endor. It'll probably end up like the hoth set that came out not to long ago.
Bobskink Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 You forgot about the scout troopers. There a big part of endor. It'll probably end up like the hoth set that came out not to long ago. I think so to, it sounds good, but when it's finaly released it's just not that great. We were expecting Luka and Wampa's, what we got were already existing minifigs. I 'm not getting to high hopes for this one, I really doubt there will be be rebel troopers. Maybe in 8 years or so.
Justin2224 Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 Through some searching, I found this rumor list. It's the same as it has been elsewhere, so there is hope.
CloneMe Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 Other than the prrate ship though is what we've already herd. Its questionable seeing how so many places have very similar ideas. I would definatly get the republic attack ship. That'd be tight. I can imagine it being so cool.
JimBee Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 SirSteve'sGuide is often a reliable resource, I went there a lot before I joined EB. We've heard about all of this, though, except the Pirate Tank. I wonder what that is?
Matteo Kenobi Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 Does anyone know if the Pirate tank is like EU or something or is it just completely made up?

Justin2224 Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 Yeah, the Pirate Tank has been listed before. It's probably something from the Clone Wars. But a neutral sided tank.

I personally think more that TLG will release a Hoth-Rebel-Base-like set than a really big playset. If this Endor Battle playset is about size and price similar to the Hoth Rebel Base of last year then I bet it'll inlcude: -a big and a little brick-built tree -the gate of the bunker plus some very little interior -two speeder bikes -Han -Endor Leia -two Scout Troopers -two Endor Rebel Troopers (new minifig) -the Imperial Officer in black suit (new minifig) I think so to, it sounds good, but when it's finaly released it's just not that great. We were expecting Luka and Wampa's, what we got were already existing minifigs. I 'm not getting to high hopes for this one, I really doubt there will be be rebel troopers. Maybe in 8 years or so. You mean Tauntauns, don't you? (instead of "Wampa's) There actually was one new - and great- minifig included in the Hoth Rebel Base of last year: K-3PO. And I must say that I really like this set. But of course I was a bit disappointed, too, since the possibilities would have been much bigger: Hoth Luke, Hoth Han, Rebel Commander, Tauntaun, Medical Droid, some nice rooms, ... But if the list is true we'll get some Tauntauns next year. If there is a Hoth BP with a Tauntaun I hope it'll include a Hoth Rebel Commander/Captain minifig, too: -one Tauntaun -two Hoth Rebel Troopers -one Hoth Rebel Captain I think a Hoth Luke or Hoth Han are very unrealistic since it surely is designed as a bigger army builder set (like this year's Hailfire Droid & Spider Droid). That makes sense! I can see it- a very Hoth Base-like 'bunker' gate with a measly few trees... better than nothing, but it would still seem so likely, and very empty. I really hope TLC doesn't read your post. You're giving them ideas.
Matteo Kenobi Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 Well if something like that did happen at least we can super MOD to make it awesome =] It's still un charted territory and nothing we ve gotten before so it will be...ok.
SWMAN Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 I have a feeling that Endor will be much like Hoth, and include just the door and not the whole bunker. But, instead of a turret and Probe Droid, it will probably include some speeder bikes and tree/plant things. Hopefully it will include more figures than Hoth. I also hope the Hoth BP includes a Tauntaun and a Hoth commander. They might even come out with both a Rebel and Empire one.
