Tim Bit Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 (edited) I am fairly sure this is the shuttle: EDIT: All of the sudden I am not so sure about that. You shouldn't be thats the republic shuttle. And of all people the star wars moderator Hmf. You shold be ashamed. P.S. Halomaster wolf is a clone commander who made an apperance is rising Mavelonce. He served under master Plo Koon. Edited October 24, 2008 by Tim Bit
-JD- Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 wolf is spelt Wolffe and I suspect he will be made from a standard imp officer torso and legs with a clone face, and the stick up black hair like in my Clone Wars animation.
pedro Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 We already had a Tantive IV UCS before that cost 200 € with about 1700 pieces and having it, I don't see were they could include some place for the minifigs. If it is really a playset, I think it will be bigger than the one we had before, and with minifigs and accessories, I think it will cost more than 200 € I find it quite funny that the term 'play-set' seems to have become synonymous with huge expensive sets that only grown adult collectors can buy!
Tim Bit Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Ahhh jamiedodger don't talk about that we don't want a moderator taking away our eb privledges. Back on topic I don't see why we need a tantive IV. It's like a cool ship just it dosen't seem right.
halomaster96 Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 (edited) wolf is spelt Wolffe and I suspect he will be made from a standard imp officer torso and legs with a clone face, and the stick up black hair like in my Clone Wars animation. Thank you for that info. I just didn't know what his name was. In the Assasin droid battle pack preliminary there are stickers and in the confirmed picture there aren't. Clonecommando007 Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 My take on the new upcoming sets: Count Dooku's Solar Sailor (Is the ship from Episode 2) This could be interesting, it just the same way might not. Although I think this ship will be the one from Episode II, I also think that, since it is seen in the Clone Wars Cartoon (as a ship for Ventrass), that it will have a Clone Wars label and spin on it. Y-Wing (Have got the new Design, based on The Clone Wars) Another big, expensive starfighter. Though I'm sure this'll sell, I for one am not particurally looking forward to it. It will probably be similar to the previous Y-wing, just with less greebles and more smooth tiles. Also, I'm sure we'll see a two seat position with a ball turret. It'd be interesting to see how they work that in. That turret will make or break the set. And I'm sure there'll be lots of flick fire missiles in this one too. Figures will probably be Asoka and Anakin...Again. It would be nice to see, in addition to them, one of the Clone Pilots from the Clone Wars episode. Battle of Hoth (Playset with Tauntauns) If this is indeed a $20 set as previously stated, it will be a great seller. Probably one or two Tauntaun molds, with Luke, Han, and possibly a Rebel Hoth Trooper. Also included will be a few snowtroopers, and in a $20 set, that'd make them be a lot more affordable. Separatist Shuttle (Most say: with a Nute Gunray Minifigure) Meh - If it's a Separatist transport shuttle, it won't sell well. Most children don't care much for that kind of junk. Neither do I. However, Separatist Shuttle could be other things too - Possibly a C-9979 Landing Craft (seen in the Battle of Naboo and in the Clone Wars Cartoons) or another yet to be seen gunship/shuttle from the Clone Wars. I don't really see why Lego is releasing both this and the Solar Sailor, two non action aligned CIS ships in the same six set release wave seems a bit fishy. Endor Ultimate Battle I think that this will probably be the best seller of this release line, if Lego does it right. A properly made set for this battle would consist of Chewbacca, Han Solo, Princess Leia, one or two Ewoks (maybe even a new mold for 'em), at least one Scout Trooper, at least one Stormtrooper, and an Imperial Officer/AT-ST driver. A required structure for this set would be the bunker door structure, if Lego doesn't include that (which I'm sure they will), this set will be hurting. A few trees and or Ewok traps would be good too, and a speeder bike, if not two, is neccessary as well. Republic Star Destroyer (A big anniversary set, with a new special minifigure) Special New Minifigure, eh? I hope it is something really cool, like a new Clone Trooper commander, but it could be a Clone Admiral, or a new alien Jedi mold. This will probably be the only set from this line that I'll get, on a personal note. It will probably have the same kind of layout as the Minifigure compatible Imperial Star Destroyer, but in a Republic Form. I'm quite looking forward to that. Included figures will probably have a few Clone Pilots/Troopers/Gunners, a Jedi or two, and...Who knows what else? Tantive IV (Playset) Playset? Or model? Arrest of Palpatine None of the three sets to be voted on really impressed me, but this is a good pick I guess because of the three new Jedi. Good luck molding those to our statisfaction Lego! My guess is there'll be some kind of window breaking feature and a switch face with front and back printing for Darth Sideous/Chancelor Palpatine.
JimboJones Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Heres MY take on some of these new sets Solar Salior: This should be clone wars because half of these sets are prequal and of the prequal sets are definatly clone wars so why make 1 from episode 2. This set will probably contain: Count Dooku, Asajj Ventress, 2 Magna Guards, and another figure depending on where the location is based on. Probably 30 USD 60AUD Hoth base: I can tell you it wont have a snowspeeder or a giant door. I would probably have a tauntaun, a imperial speeder and maybe a turret of somesort. Figs maybe: Luke, Han Solo, Rebel Trooper, Snowtrooperx2. My guess is that they will up the price to about 30USD 60AUD Seperatist Shuttle: Probably the one that the nute has. I think it might be around the same size as the new republic shuttle coming 2009. Figures could be: Nute, Greiveous, 2 royal guards, A pilot of some sort and maybe even the emperor. I say around 40-50USD 80-100AUD Republic Star Destroyer: There will be plenty of Figs. I think it will be a remake of the star destroyer with mods on it like the jagged sides. Will Not BE Minifig Scale! Figs could be: Yoda, Mace, Clone commander, Wolffe, 6 Clones, 2 Clone Gunners, Astromec Droid. About same price as star destroyer
Matteo Kenobi Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 (edited) A few things that pop in my mind when reading all these things A tantive IV playset, oy vay this is going to break the bank, Tantive IV, great ship, but unless its amazing like the DS, and its over...oh $200 I won't even consider getting it, we are getting to much of these huge expensive sets that are totally awesome that a lot of people can't afford, or don't feel they are worth all that money. A special minifig in the Venator, oh that worries me, I'm sure it will be cool but I'm afraid the price of it is getting higher and higher each day. I love the venator, and that is a set that I would buy at a high price, however if it was to high, ouch that scares me. I honestly hope it is amazing, although we will see. TLC a lot of people have high expectations on this set, so don't screw up...please Oh I hope it's minifig scale, I would love it to be minifig scale!! Edited October 24, 2008 by Matteo Kenobi
Siegfried Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 Leet speak is not necessarily 'kiddy', as it's origins draw from adult (or at least, experienced) hackers using it as a code to talk about hacking on IRC chatrooms that would auto-ban people for using specific words. Furthermore, pwnage is not leetspeak, it is simply a common misspelling of ownage that is done deliberately for emphasis. Care factor=0 We have an auto-ban for people who argue with moderators. You have been warned. Consider yourself lucky.
Light Light Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 Now thats ownage Correction, Hollisbrick, that would be pwnage. Haha, but seriously, I am not a leet speaker
KimT Posted October 25, 2008 Author Posted October 25, 2008 Now thats ownage Correction, Hollisbrick, that would be pwnage.Haha, but seriously, I am not a leet speaker Ha ha, but seriously, I don't take it well when people go off topic just because they had to comment on an admins actions. Stay on topic.
hollisbrick Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 (edited) Anyway back on topic, do you guys think that TLG will release the other two sets that could have been a TRU exclusiv in 09 or maybe the future IMO I would! I would like to see a smaller slave 1 (like the first one) on a smaller laning pad. On another note I don't think Asohko's ship (is that the rumored pink one?) will come out at the same time has the first 5 SW for this year because we haven't seen any pics yet EDIT: KimT did have something to say, sorry when I quoted it, it wasn't there. Also sorry I couldn't help myself Edited October 25, 2008 by hollisbrick
Klaus-Dieter Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 (edited) We already had a Tantive IV UCS before that cost 200 Edited October 25, 2008 by Klaus-Dieter
Oky Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 In former times TLG was in this respect doing much better: There were the "normal" sets til maximum 150 Euros (which is really not cheap - but affordable) and the big, expensive UCS sets for those AFOLs which have a lot of money and like high detailed vehicles. And if you weren't interested in these UCS sets (like I) you didn't buy them. But you had - in contrary to since this year - the chance to buy (nearly) all the important vehicles and locations with minifigs. That was much better . Regretably this changed Did it really? All the "normal" minifig-scale models are still priced up to 150 Euros/Dollars and there are still UCS sets for rich AFOLs. The only exception is the DS, which is a giant playset. Sure it would have been kinda nice to get every room from the DS as a separate, affordable, little set, but isn't it much better this way? Also, there is no sign of TLG changing this tradition, so I have really no idea what you are complaining about.
Wouwie Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 Vader's Tie Fighter? Also more pics from LegoWorld SW Minifigs Stand from the Lego Designers stand. Link.

simonjedi Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 Vader's Tie Fighter? On first glance i thought it was the 1999 set, But because its not blue I think you might be right, It has the same front greebles and wing connectors
darkrebellion Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 (edited) Vader's Tie Fighter? Also more pics from LegoWorld SW Minifigs Stand from the Lego Designers stand. Link. Great find wouwie13 . Rayman Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 Soooo many clones! I do hope that a Commander Wolffe/ Clone officer is indeed included in the Rumored Republic Attack Cruiser. Does anyone else think that the $107 price point is a bit odd?
Tim Bit Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 yes that would be odd. And by the by I started the rumour wolffe would be included so don't believe it hope for it. although chances are likely.
