The Crazy One Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 He means the Super Battle Droid arm. The big cannon one. They did appear in Republic commando first I think or something similar anyway. Ahhhh thanks, i thought there was a clone commondo.
Klaus-Dieter Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 (edited) While browsing through BS I found following two pics of a RSD: This model appears in this exhibition of only official sets - so it's imo very unlikely that it's a MOC. And it looks from size and design very similar to the brilliant minifig-scaled ISD. So?! Klaus-Dieter Edited November 4, 2008 by Klaus-Dieter
trooperdavinfelth Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 (edited) Any smaller they'll look like Maul's probe droids Nah, Maul's probe droids are the size of a minifig head with an antenna and this is the size of a minifig. Ahhhh thanks, i thought there was a clone commondo. That'd be the day, though... I hope they'll make an appearance in the series! EDIT: Wow, nice find, Klaus! It's smaller than Varsegi's, but it's a lot more studless. I'd love to see that in a box, though. Edited November 4, 2008 by trooperdavinfelth

I hope we get mini fighters with it if this is real. I just browsed through the gallery and all the other sets have boxes and this doesn't but it wouldn't make sense to include a MOC so I am sort of 50-50 right now on the geniueness of this. KimT Posted November 4, 2008 Author Posted November 4, 2008 Nice find Klaus-Dieter. It's just too good looking to be true, isn't it? Just look at the sleek design and all those tiles. I hope this is the one, I really do
CF Mitch Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 (edited) Oh my god I was never one for very large sets, but I just gotta have this one (actually I also want the 6211 Imperial Star Destroyer) Gonna make a hell of a lot of room for it though Thanks for the picture Klaus-Dieter !! Greetings, CF W Edited November 4, 2008 by CF WeaZZel
natelite Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 it's a moc. you can sort of tell if it's an official lego set almost immediately. plus any set they display in expos would have the box. take the recent market village for eg. last year was the town plan set. all these have boxes by the time they show it.

CF Mitch Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 (edited) Notice how we don't have a confirmation of it as a set. Oh bloody hell Yeah, thanks for kicking me out of that dream... I read the part about it being in an exhibition with only official sets, so my mind started... well celebrating Greetings, CF W Edited November 4, 2008 by CF WeaZZel

Except that not all the sets on display have the boxes in the link provided by Klaus-Dieter. I am fairly sure that this must be a MOC, it's just too well designed = waaaay too many bricks. Imagine the brick count on this one and then imagine the price. I'm still hoping for it to be true though.
Skipper 24 Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 You know what would be cool if it could open up down the centre and there were hangers mini ships etc. Also the main hangars down the side opened too. Also if this wasn't UCS that would be awesome because a UCS would never have all that stuff I mentioned.
darkrebellion Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Thanks Klaus-Dieter for the pics . I think this set is definitely a MOC and here are my reasons: - It has so much SNOT, I don´t think the TLC would spend that much just to cover the studs. - It seems to have some old dark grey in the bridge section. - It also seems to have some old light grey. Even with my reasons I really hope the TLC one is similar to this cause it is awesome .

I'm afraid, I have to tell You a "bad" news... Actually, it is a MOC, by a Hungarian AFOL, so it is NOT the new Venator set. Anyway, this guy (Matyo), has all the SW sets from the past few years, and it is displayed on almost every local meetings. :)
Tim Bit Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 We know its a moc now so stop saying what we now. End of discussion. But on the bright side its another day closer to the release of the other 2008 sets.
Light Light Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 (edited) Nevermind, apparently it has been said a few times already. Edited November 5, 2008 by Light Light
halomaster96 Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 On this FBTB forum I found more confirmations. Go down the page farther and there are more confirmations. He got them from someone from tlc.
Light Light Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 This information is a bit old. I should know, I'm the one who posted it on here. Nevertheless, still a great reminder of what we might see in the future.

Skipper 24 Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 Nice list you have there on FBTB at least I haven't seen it. I think the corporate alliance tank droid may be a remake of the one included in Wookiee Attack.

I do - look at the new AAT. But look at how much cooler the new version is too A proper update of the CAT would be wicked. Edited November 5, 2008 by pedro

KimT Posted November 5, 2008 Author Posted November 5, 2008 They were on the first post but it says some still weren't confirmed. So it is important to know that they are comfirmed now. Confirmed by TLG? That's what confirmed means - that TLG has confirmed the sets.
The Rancor Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 Confirmed by TLG?That's what confirmed means - that TLG has confirmed the sets. I think it says on that forum page that the information was directly from a Lego employee - quite reliable... (If the poster is telling the truth... which I think they are)
JimBee Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 Thanks for those pics, Klaus D. I knew it would be a MOC, though, it doesn't look official at all (although it is a great MOC). No, I'm actually hoping for something bigger from TLG, and not as much tiling to up the price. I'd be content if it were an improved version of the ISD, perhaps a bit larger in size.
Tim Bit Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 I think it says on that forum page that the information was directly from a Lego employee - quite reliable...(If the poster is telling the truth... which I think they are) We've had alot of people saying they have a comfirmation from TLG but it never happens . But I will stay optimistic about this one because we've had source after source say that same list. Keep your fingers crossed for the Venator.
