Light Light Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Right now, these current "prices" just look like a flawed attempt at converting the prices in euros into U.S. dollars.
pr0visorak Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Wow! Those prices look quite expensive. I hope Lego decides to change the price! After all, there is still a long way to go.
DarthPineapple Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 (edited) Wow! Those prices look quite expensive. I hope Lego decides to change the price! After all, there is still a long way to go. Yea, I hope so as well, especially for the BP's I already pay almost twice as much for the BPs here and don't want to pay $35... Edited November 12, 2008 by DarthPineapple
Evil Wizard Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 he most successful realistic model! Very well done with this scale. Yes and of itself is also a very good model, but LEGO does not make a separate podserii in a series of Star Wars, and these mini models has not been a long time, since 2004, when I am not mistaken. And the second set, too good, striking resemblance to the shade "senior bratikom": Simply amazing. A bit disappointing that the LEGO so much attention drawn to the new out this year's movie Star Wars. But on the other hand, perhaps all is not so bad - here LEGO can show a series of other styles and different atmosphere, closer to children. The remaining sets, too, liked, but rumors that sets 2009 as a great joy to fans of classical Star Wars universe will be like before, and will cease to be "multyashnymi" - not true. But then everyone is solved.
Corvus Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 I found these prices on Brickipedia in what I think are US $:7751 - Ahsoka's Starfighter and Vulture Droid - $29.99 8014 - Clone Walker Battle Pack - $14.99 8015 - Assassin Droid Battle Pack - $14.99 8016 - Hyena Droid Bomber - $29.99 8017 - Darth Vader's TIE Fighter - $39.99 8018 - Armored Assault Tank - $59.99 8019 - Republic Attack Shuttle - $79.99 There is NO way I'd pay $79.99 for the shuttle! It's Wiki... so It's most likely wrong. Most of these look to have a 5-10 dollar difference, but the shuttle and the tank seem to be $20 dollars over.
iH Master 13uilder17 Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 same here bps $15? thats a rip off. And I liked the tan AAT for $20 not this bs version for $60.
Matteo Kenobi Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 I wouldn't be suprised if those were TRU's prices Ok when has wikipedia ever been a reliable source, I know these were just posted for the sake of a rumor, but TLC would not up prices that crazy. I mean $40 for a 200 peice set, $15 for a bp, I don't think so. $70 for the RAS, I think the highest the RAS will go is $60 and I am praying it wont go higher then $50, but it very well may, seeing as how wacked out the current part to price ratio of the clone wars sets are.
Bricklanta Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 But what if those prices are true? Would anyone buy them? I know I wouldn't. I would only buy Ahsoka's starfighter, I can't miss that one.
Matteo Kenobi Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 But what if those prices are true? Would anyone buy them? I know I wouldn't. I would only buy Ahsoka's starfighter, I can't miss that one. If those awful prices were true I would pass one everything except Ahsokas ship, and 4 battlepacks cause I really need the figs. I would try and save up for the RAS but it wouldn't be very likely.
ADHO15 Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 (edited) Ok when has wikipedia ever been a reliable source, When I found it first said: Death Star with 20+ minifigs (before pics were released) I posted that here and everyone said 'Wiki's unreliable and no set has had that many before. That's wrong!' But then look what happened... I'm not even 100% they're US$ and I hope they're not true is they are. Mind you, I could buy them from the US, seeing as the exchange rate is so low it's like a half price sale. Edited November 13, 2008 by ADHO15
Matteo Kenobi Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 When I found it first said: Death Star with 20+ minifigs (before pics were released)I posted that here and everyone said 'Wiki's unreliable and no set has had that many before. That's wrong!' But then look what happened... Well I wasn't around for that, but that's true some things can happen like that. Those might be Canadian prices, those seem about right for Canadian price, but I could be wrong.
Oky Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Those might be Canadian prices, those seem about right for Canadian price, but I could be wrong. They could be. But BPs cost 12.99 CAD usually, not 15. I don't think that these are USD (no offense, ADHO15), but if they were, I'd be pretty pissed off. I mean come on - 15 bucks for a BP and 80 for that stupid, little shuttle?! Damn.
Light Light Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 I more than certain that the prices for the 09 sets will be the same prices given to the sets that are released at the beginning of every year in the US: 2x $10 (Bps) 2x $20 1x $40 1x $50 This has been like this for both 2007 and 2008.
Matteo Kenobi Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 I wouldn't be suprised if the AAT and the RAS followed in the foot steps of the Magna Fighter and V-19, $45 for the AAT and $55 for the RAS, that seems more likely.
Corvus Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 That sounds pretty good. I wouldn't be suprised to see around $29.99 for Ahsoka's fighter, though.
iH Master 13uilder17 Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 If those awful prices were true I would pass one everything except Ahsokas ship, and 4 battlepacks cause I really need the figs. I would try and save up for the RAS but it wouldn't be very likely. me too, hasn't lego cheated us enough of our hard earned money by the AT-TE and the RGS? i mean piece by price ratio is low and only 2 clones max per set. The bps will probably be 10-12 USD for like 60 pieces.
pr0visorak Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Agreed! The sets were awesome but they were a rip off compared to the amount of minifigs the old RGS and At-TE gave us. The price should be going to down especially in these bad times.
hollisbrick Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Agreed! The sets were awesome but they were a rip off compared to the amount of minifigs the old RGS and At-TE gave us. The price should be going to down especially in these bad times. I have to disagree, I think the price was alright, it actually gave us about the same amount of figs as in the last ATTE plus, the clone BP is comming out soon so you can stuff as many clones as you want in your asss vehicle
iotacode Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Regardless of any price increase there might be for the new sets, I'll still buy them. At the first place, toys collecting hobby has never been cheap. Just my humble opinion
cagri Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 An Australian retailers says we'll have these sets in 2009: 7748 - Corporate Alliance Tank Droid 7749 - Echo Base 7778 - Millennium Falcon Mid Scale 8036 - Separatists Shuttle 8037 - Anakins Y-Wing Starfighter 8039 - Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser
Justin2224 Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 (edited) Back to the Falcon I guess. I think we've had enough of those, even if this is yet another rumor list. The other sets sound great though and they have shown up on most of these lists, so they have a high possibility. Edited November 15, 2008 by Justin2224
darkrebellion Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Thanks for the list cagri . The list looks the same as the last ones the only "new" on this one is the Millenium Falcon but the thing that surprise me is that there is not the Endor set but I think that one is just a little step over to be confirmed like all the others on your list with the exception of the falcon. The Falcon seems fair cause of the list number the 77.. numbers seems like some kind of exclusives. If the falcon is decided to be releasaed than I hope it is ROTJ based cause everyone including me want the Lando officer minifig and some more Rebel crew including the highly possible Nien Numb minifig .
Stealth Hunter Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Possibly the 77 at the beginning of the first three sets on the list means they aren´t in the Clone Wars style, so the 7748 Corporate Alliance Tank Droid possibly includes some Phase II troopers and none of these new mold Phase I troopers. Just my 2 cents...
trooperdavinfelth Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 I don't know. Another Falcon? Mid sized? Makes no sense.
