I downloaded them onto my computer, much better. *sweet* The clone in the V19 has yellow markings on his head and 2 little Red Republic signs like a pilot would but he still has a fin on his helmet!? Hopefully the markings will change to Black and the fin will be removed for the final version. Also by squinting at the card in front of the V19 I can barely make out that it says that at least the V19 if not all of them will be released in August. :'-( At least this will give me more time to save up more money. The little Green blob is definitley a baby Hutt and It looks like Ani and Ashoka are on a mission to save him/her because in one of the pics. Ashoka is holding him/her. Also you can't appreciate how detailed the New minifigs are until you see them in hi-res! They are even more stunnig. Although I still say Plo Koon's head is too thin and the Magna Droid's hood is too Megablokish! For Rex/Cody's new pistols They're just the new SW blaster with the stock and muzzle and scope chopped off in bley. The new clone troopers are a big dissapointment closeup! They have new torsos and helmets which are a big step down from the origianals! 8-| They are still good minifigs just not as good as they shoud be. The new helmet has the T-visor printed on which is a plus in its own way since you don't have to put a black MF headunder it but to me it looks cheap compared to the original Phase 1 trooper. The pauldron and kamas for Rex and Cody are plastic not cloth altough Asajj gets a cloth skirt *wub* The ARC troopers also have the antenna attached to their helmets the only fault of this I can see is that they are probably is easy to break off. 8-| The reg clones also have a TAN 8- Edited January 31, 2008 by GeneralTarful

My biggest dissapointment are the magna droids (?), who look more like models than lego :-/ The lack of Clones is rather annoying too, hopefully we'll get a battlepack (including one of those ARCs *wub* )

This is a must have! :-$ Rotta ==> Very cute, but who is he? :-D Anakin ==> already see :-/ Obi wan ==> I particuraly appreciate the new body. Half jedi, half clone trooper armor. :-P Commander Cody ==> Finally a TRUE commander cody! The one in the clone turbo tank was the better version but the new has everything! The AT-TE ok this is cool and awesome minifigures but a little simple. The gunship is amazing and the figures *wub* The torrent is better than expected. Star Wars Lego 2008 is better and better can't wait to see the others.

The box pictures again say preliminary but i think the actual fig we can see will be the final product. Check out this close up of the new clone and you can see the molding of the helmet.

This gives the feel of it being almost Duplo or Megblockish. sam89 Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 There's a few problems with the sets, but overall they're just awesome :'-) Magna Guard Starfighter - This is a cool model, but probably the last one on my list. The magna droids might be a bit too realitic, but they're still great. V-19 Torrent - A great model. I notice that the wings now work by pneumatics rather than cogs. AT-TE - I love this set. The model is better than the last one, and the figures are just brilliant. I especially love that Arc Trooper. It's so detailed and those molds are just *wub* Republic Gunship - This set is just as good. Several awesome new minifigs and a fantastically designed set. Hopefully the other 4 sets will turn up at upcoming Toy Fairs.

My only gripe is that there aren't more troopers in the sets. Maybe because the line is focusing on the characters of the series and not on the 'build your army' aspect. This is probably obvious, but I'm pretty sure that TLC would not copy/mimick the designs created by TT games. So, to me, it would seem logical that they would go their own way. Oh, by the way, I'm all gaga for these sets *wub* . Though I must complain about that magna guard. I would have much prefered a Lego figure head than...that. I must see it in hand to (hopefully) prove I am wrong!

I am especially disappointed that the clone troopers look cartoony compared to their original Episode II incantations. The Clone helmets are underdetailed (yeah I know) Obi Wan looks like a kid with a beard. Plo Kloon looks nothing like him. I predeict that lots of people who say Waaw now will eventualy get used to them and then when it's time to buy them, get borred with them and will pas. Clone Wars has to be very very good now ;-)
