Bobskink Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Give us real Lego, not action figures! Those are the words I was looking for. Seems that there are a lot more people who don't like them. I think it's sommething that will appeal more for the kids. And since Lego is for the kids (and there fathers who buy it in the hope they can also play with it) ... Question, are these the only sets for the second part of 2008? Only spinoff sets?
LuxorV Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Well, nice sets until now.he card in front of the V-19 says: release date: August. So I think that all these CW Sets will be released in August. The same time when the TRU exclusive sets should come out. So lets hope that we`ll get some more (and smaller) sets in June... The kids should have the chance to buy also cheap and small CW sets. Otherwise these line is only made for presents at christmas, but I don't believe that.. greetings Hendrik What about the already relised 7620 - Anakin's Jedi Starfighter? ;-) Anyway, I too hope we'll get some more of the smaller, and cheaper, CW sets *y* LuxorV
xwingyoda Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Sceptic to the new mold of the Ep. II Clones. The new faces of the heroes is horrible. Right now I hate the Clone Wars. Wow, the nerdiest SW member is sceptic X-D Ouch that hurts :-P Finally I had time to check the high res pics (many tks for posting those btw) and here are nifty details I realised: * Ashoka's "hairpiece" is made of hard plastic * Asijj's head seems to be light glow in the dark * the new guns look like giant electric screwdrivers I am not a fan of Ep2 clones (duh X-D ) but I love the CW clones. The printing on the torso is really sweet and the helmet are the perfect transition to the Ep3 clones with its wider jaw !! I love the hole system that enables us to put the the antenna or visor !! Very realistic !! And I bet the "dress" is made of plastic. Regarding the release date, I'm sure that they will rech us in may !! I never had a wave 2 SW not in may ;-) Wow now I really want to check the other sets 8-
Darth Lion Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Awesome!!! That are the best Lego Star Wars Sets ever! The design is fantastic and the minifigs too. I hope the sets will be available soon. I can't wait. *wub* I'm going to buy me all sets, not noticing the prices. :-P I'm really glad. Lego has changed to the difficult minifigs. Yeah! The only minifig, I don't like, is Plo Koon. The face is...ugly. But Asajj Ventress, Obi-Wan, Ashoka, Commander Cody, the ARC-Trooper, and this little jabba ( X-D ) are very nice. Is this a visor on the helmet of Commander Cody??? 8-
Clonecommando007 Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 I can't figure out which to buy: The Republic Gunship or the AT-TE. They both look good, but I probably can't get both. Please lego; bring on pictures of the TX-130!!! I'm not sure if rotta is a baby hutt anymore.
chris_austin Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Is anyone else interested in trying to work out what's written on the small board behind the V-19? I see the 12 months along the top (J F M A etc) and a few words down the left (Launch, Lucas, TV, Promotional Activity, Online, xxxxx, LEGO.com) I also see that it says 'Provisional and Confidential' across it but board is already in the picture... or are these pictures confidential too?

It would be great if Asijjs head was glow in the dark, though i wonder why lego would make it so as shes white skinned :-/ X-D well that ARC trooper has alot of screwing to do mate ;-) I like the look of the new helmets but i wonder why lego decided to change to them :-/ , to me the old version was fine and really didn't need to change.
Clonecommando007 Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 I have to agree that the new headpiece for Ashoka looks like its a hard piece and not that crappy soft stuff. Probably the same with Plo-Koon.I like the look of the new helmets but i wonder why lego decided to change to them :-/ , to me the old version was fine and really didn't need to change.Same here. I don't have any of the older ones, but these new ones look flat. They just look flat! Does anyone here agree with me? One good thing though: We can put a real head underneath. :-D
SWMAN Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Wow, those are all really cool. I love all of the new figures. I can't believe how many new figures lego is releasing this year. I like the new cartoonish feel to the figures, but the only problem with that is that they really don't match any other figures. The only other thing I don't like is the lack of Clones. I also really like how Lego is making more molded heads, like Plo Koon and the other new jedi.
xwingyoda Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 X-D well that ARC trooper has alot of screwing to do mate ;-) 8-
General Zen Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 These sets actually really are magnificent! ;-) the only things that bother me are.... 1. Not enough clone troopers (Duh! X-D ) 2. Screw driver guns 3.Weird faces Other then that, these sets look flippen sweet! :-) The clone commandos look amazing and lego must be really trying their best to please us. Clone wars rocks socks!
wulf Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 YES!!Finally MAGNA BODYGUARDS AND COMMANDER CODY,too bad most of them are cartoony...And I don't like the giant electric screwdrivers lego should stick with the older guns(not the mega phones)and they should include more clone troopers.
No_Name Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 (edited) Here's a picture of a Homing Spider Droid aka Spider Walker or Spider Droid Enjoy Edited February 1, 2008 by No_Name
Plural Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Looking at the close up of Rex it seems as though there is no hole for the eye visor which makes me wonder whether the Clone Commanders will have faces like the Jango fig did. Also, I don't really like the Magnaguard heads either, it looks misproportioned compared to other lego figs.
mutley777 Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 I can't understand why nearly everybody is complaining about the magna droids heads. Yes they look alot like the real magna droids but so do normal battle droid heads and nobody complains about them. :-)

The only thing I'm afraid is that they will be way bigger and more realistic than GG |-/ Maybe its time for a better version of him 8-

Corvus Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 (Its commander Thire right ? Its the only red one I can think off ;-) ) *yoda* The one in red is Captain Fordo. ;-) Actually I have a rant regarding Cody: I really wanted a ROTS version like the following: Well, the visor on Cody's helmet looks removable, so we might be able to pull off a switch. Will

Screw driver guns 3.Weird faces Other then that, these sets look flippen sweet! :-) The clone commandos look amazing and lego must be really trying their best to please us. Clone wars rocks socks! There are no screw driver guns... Perhaps I need some filling in on? :-/ Also they aren't commandos, although I'd love to see them. But in the sense of Advanced Recon Commando... :-P Great find, clonecommando007! Here's what I picked up from looking at all these pics: The V-19 definitely has a pilot; I zoomed in on the pilot in the pic where he's standing next to it and I saw yellow and two red dots on either side. (GAR symbols) Rex has, on his helmet, two little triangles like what is featured on the helmet of this bad boy! Will Mandalorian be featured in this series or is it just a fluke? 8-
xwingyoda Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 OK I've got a question for the CW nerds :-P How come Magna guards fly on P-38 ? I always wondered and I went and did some quick research: Here is what SW darabank writes: These vessels were employed with the natives during a battle to liberate their world from Separatist occupational forces in the Clone Wars. So how can they be operated by magna guard *wacko* X-D Also those magnaguards are bidyguards so what the hell are they doing flying around ? *yoda*

General Zen Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Hey guys, on closer inspection on one of the sets,(I think it wass the at-te) I saw a little flesh sticking out under the clone helmet! 8-
astoriabluelegos Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 (edited) ^YEAH^ Thanks to CC007, my brother and I were looking at close-ups of some of the clones also, and discovered that the helmets have the visors painted this time, but not only that, they have Flesh heads, meaning they might even have given them FACES!!!!! REAL CLONE FACES!!!!!!! :'-) But I'm not yet entirely sure... |-/ Edited February 1, 2008 by astoriabluelegos
The Kid Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 It appears you are correct - the clones do have flesh heads. Just have to hope they're not blank. Maybe that's why we're not getting as much clones? Head printing means costs are pushed up so there are less clones? Oh, and MagnaGuards are the most un-LEGOish figs EVER. :-P TK
