Hey guys, on closer inspection on one of the sets,(I think it wass the at-te) I saw a little flesh sticking out under the clone helmet! 8-

I can't understand why nearly everybody is complaining about the magna droids heads. Yes they look alot like the real magna droids but so do normal battle droid heads and nobody complains about them. :-)

Maybe because his head is attached to his hood giving the whole fig. a <insert that tiresome argument> look and feel. ;-)

The only thing I'm afraid is that they will be way bigger and more realistic than GG |-/ Maybe its time for a better version of him 8-

If TLC's gonna do a CW battlepack, I'll -have- to buy CW stuff, ghehe. Can't call myself a real Lego Star Wars fan if I don't have at least one clone! *wacko*

ok i said this before but no one seems to listen.

i'm pretty sure lego is gonna release more cw sets in winter 09. i say this because to our current knowledge we'll only be getting 5 clones ( v-19, at-te, rgs), i know there's more sets to come in 08 like the tank. i think lego is doing this for a marketing strategy. ok we barely have any clones but winter 09 boom, clone wars bps. that's just what i think

Well we know that we'll be getting the 2009 10th Anniversary Set and probably some more CW sets (for the second season), but I'd bet that we also get an OT set or two.

I rewatched the CW vol 1 yesterday night and here are some thoughts:

* Pilots do have that yellow markings on their helmets !! All the pilots of V-19 and RGS havre it ;-)

So one grip could be, who the hell pilots that RGS ?? (I think we need a smaller set with that clone ;-) )

* We sure do need BPs: one thing for sure is that we need and ARC trooper BP preferably like the pic I posted several pages before: 2 whities, a blue and a red !!

One question could arise at this point though: when ?? TLC never produced more than the 2 january BPs so far (2007 & 2008). Will they expand on that and give us a mid year BP ? If they did that it would work big time !! Why do I say that ? Because I really want the january 2009 BPs to be Endor oriented (scouties BP and Endor Troopers BP)

* There are a lot of sets that TLC can give us from he CW: the expanding possibilities are huge there !! IMO, these 4 sets are just a taste of things to come ;-)

EDIT: I just watched vol2 and yes there are definitly some sweet sets I would love such as:

* Mace's purple JSF

* Saesee Tiin's gren JSF (yeay I love those ep3 JSFs ;-) ) witha 2 head choice: with and without the helmet !!

* Off course the special ops sharkhead RGS

* couple of other jedi such as Ayyla, Luminara, Shaak and that Ithorien

* Palpatine MF

* Durge (or whats left of him X-D )

* AAT ! Would be a cool idea to redesign one and market it as CW ;-) After all, some AAT invade Coruscant to divert jedi from GG's primary main objective: capture Palpie !!

Also its just in between the 2 vol that the clones change their armour: in vol 2 the helmets are way more ep3 looking (they got rid of the "fin" on top and the "moustache" is rounder...)

So that CW vol 3 happens in betwen 2 and 3 right ? vol1 armour style and can't be after 2 since it ties perfectly with ROTS

Who is the Shaak Ti imposter?I would of really liked a Shaak Ti minifig but I guess Ahsoka is a good start and looks cool.

I really like the sets so far,the new accessories for specific Clone Troopers is beyond awesome and I really like the V-19 Torrent.

I guess my only gripes are that all the sets are big again with all the best minifigs being in what most likely will be

Erm, zoom in on the last pic and there is yellow on the pilot's helmet. You misread XWY; he was saying Why is there a pilot in the V-19 but none in the RGS? ;-) Correct me if I'm wrong, Master *yoda* !

I was saying that on the CW vol 1 all pilots were yellow marked and I forgot the Sharkhead RGS had a blue marking ARC pilot in that cockpit (oopsie daisy !!)

And yes I was saying that the RGS set misses a bloody pilot to fly it :-D

damn im not digging these new ep 2 clones...there a bit iffy to me :-(

Well when the new RGS comes out i hope the original gunship drops prices on ebay so i culd purchase one of them instead of the new ones to get myself the original ep 2 clones cuse the new ones are meh and they still look just bleh and animated to me. if TLC changes them around a bit and also some of the animated jedi into unanimated the we will see but i might get the new at-te thats about it.

Wow, yeah we only get a few Clone Troopers and a ton of Cartoony-like Jedi. They'll need to come out with battle packs or something because It would be so weird to have more Jedi this year that the troopers.

I predict a Red ARC trooper will come with the TX-130 Tank, and a few clones. As for the Homing Spider Droid, I hope we get some cool droids, maybe another pilot?

I think lego missed a real opportunity here please all the fans. A 2 sided minifig head with cartoon and classic faces would have been such a great thing. 8-|

I'm afraid I have to mirror the sentiments of many here and say that the faces on the hero figures just look ugly. I can understand that Lego have tried to make them more 'toony (and we've seen how successful this can be done with the Exo-force line) to relate more to the animated cartoons, but they've just missed the mark.

It's the style - it's just wrong. Not quite Star Wars Lego, not near the fantastic designs of the Clone Wars animated series. It's really a shame because there is so much material from the animated catoons to work from. I think maybe Lego needed to let a better artist set the style for the faces. I'm sure the style of the characters in the new animated series will be more akin to CW animated series and will look far better than these.

As much as a Lego nerd that I am, it is possible that they get it wrong sometimes.

However... I think everthing else looks great!

The new clonetroopers are ace! Although their helmets are simpler they have captured that CW animated feel really well and the new accessories add so much coolness to the figures. I like to think that these will almost certainly be released in battle-pack form :-D Despite my comments above about the hero characters' faces, the new prints and molds are brilliant and the heads can be replaced with other minifigs heads, so if you're inclined it needn't be too bad afterall. Asajj Ventress looks wicked but I'd have preferred her without irises/pupils - just those cold, blank white eyes.

As I said in a past post the vehicles are great and although may not appeal so much to those with the originals, they look sleek, have amazing detail and with some of those great new minifigs will be well worth a purchase.

At the beginning when you see ARCS getting ready to shoot BDs and you hear a loud "here they come", it really looks at Jabba's palace with that dark huge metal door !! 8-

Aye, they look like probe droids much akin to Darth Maul's Sith probe droids. They've used 2 small dishes to create the round shape and levers for the antenna. Nice little touch.

Anyone else find it strange that lego yet again goes with a different design for an alien jedi?

I mean first we had a kit fisto in the lego game which looked cool, then when we got a fig version it was completely different and the same goes for plo koon.

True about Kit Fisto, but remember that these figs are more based off of the upcoming "The Clone Wars" animated TV show than the style that lego upholds ;-)

These new sets look pretty cool! The new gun looks like Han Solo's. I can't wait to get one, especially as it can double for a Mauser pistol for those Notzi's! *sweet*

The Magna droids, though...there's something, well, off about them. I was hoping more for the Videogame style with a regular head and new cape attached to a BD torso with a clip, but I guess this fits the exaggerated Clones Wars style, so I'm okay with it.

Great sets overall.

After seeing the new pictures, I'm much more intrested in buying a few of these. I'm really liking to look of 7673, though it does look at tad BSG Cylon like.
