VBBN Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 Hey how are the Star wars magnets? I want some figs, and I was thinking of magnets... What are thye to a fig?
sam89 Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 The magnets are pretty much identical to normal figs, except you can't separate the torso from the legs. Everything else can be removed, I believe. You can see the magnets through the hole on the back of the figs' legs, but that shouldn't be much of a problem.
xwingyoda Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 The magnets are pretty much identical to normal figs, except you can't separate the torso from the legs. Everything else can be removed, I believe. You can see the magnets through the hole on the back of the figs' legs, but that shouldn't be much of a problem. But you can remove the magnetic legs and replace them by normal non magnetic legs ;-) The only problem lies within the torso itself: there is a magnet inside it. There is no esthetic problem at all, you don't see a single difference with a regular MF. When you put them together in a box they "stick" due to the magnet ;-) *yoda*
VBBN Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 Thanks Sam and xwingyoda! :-) One last question, is how heavy are the magnets compared to a normal fig? Would they be a bit heavier due to the magnet?
xwingyoda Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 One last question, is how heavy are the magnets compared to a normal fig? Would they be a bit heavier due to the magnet? Off course they are heavier due to the 3 magnets used ;-) But don't ask me to weigh both :-P *yoda*
natelite Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 can we update the front page with the new pics of droid gunship and tx130? i don't see them there and i hate to wallow through the 40 odd pages i haven't read since last week.
VBBN Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 Off course they are heavier due to the 3 magnets used ;-) But don't ask me to weigh both :-P *yoda* That is what I was thinking. :-$ Thanks yoda. Seems as if ~VBBN~ will be minimagnet shopping this week!
Zzz Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 (edited) did anyone see this already? sorry if it was posted somewhere else before, didn't find it after browsing and searching! :-) Edited March 6, 2008 by Zzz
commandosevy Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 (edited) This is my first post, and I found a picture of Shaak-Ti *wub* it was at www.orlishoshan.com/images/lego1.jpg And I looked at the new sets the Magna Guard is ok on the cape but the head >:-( The RGS is the set to buy with Plo Kloon, but the Obi Wan looks like a bloated Fry with a beard. The AT TE is even greater with the Ashika fig *wub* . The v-19 was a rip off at first but after its maneaverable duribility its a must. Long Live Yoda! *yoda* Edited March 8, 2008 by commandosevy
Hinckley Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 This is my first post, and I found a picture of Shaak-Ti *wub* it was at www.orlishoshan.com/images/lego1.jpg Wow! Does this mean we'll be getting individual figs again? That's the same setup as the mini-fig packs from a few years ago. Thanks for the image commandosevy! EDIT: I think that is a custom...
Palin Jax Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 I went to the web address from the photo. It appears to be Saak Ti's, or rather Orli Shoshan's personal website. I would post the link, but you guys can figure it out too. What a fox... hubba, hubba. But anyway, I would venture a guess that this is for the individual actress as a gift, but I am hoping ;-) . Really hoping :'-) . I think maybe a little digging on the net my flesh out more of these pics, so heres to looking. Shaak Ti on!!!
sam89 Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 The Shaak Ti fig is defnitely a custom. I think it was by an FBTB member called Tothiro.
aayla-secura Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 It is a custom! I think finceclonier and antoher one worked together for this! Because i asked fineclonier.. and the twilek is from antoher good customer
trooperdavinfelth Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 The Shaak Ti fig is defnitely a custom. I think it was by an FBTB member called Tothiro. Yes. It has to be a custom. Hinckley, you remember Palin Jax's thread in the Embassy and jipay's response? TLC won't be making individually packed minifigs because that is Hasbro's job. When TLC last made the minifig packs Hasbro got angry. So now they make them and call them battle packs. If anything we'll se more of those. Also, a very nice custom! Personally, it's the best I've seen... *y*
JimBee Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 this shaak ti was in my old avatar... and either LEGO made it specially for Orli Shoshan, or its a custom, and she decided to post this on her site.

Ir.. did you read the above posts... Sam89 already has stated this is a custom and trooperdavinfelth clarified. If you had this as an avatar you should have known that. Fans must have made it and given it to Her as a gift. And what a gift guys. Lovely work gentleman *y* ... it's that platform that makes it look so real and good. If there is a God gifted custom molder out there, I would suggest making up some of these bases... and maybe tackling the board backing for another idea!
JimBee Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 i just got the pic off of shoshans website, and it didnt say much about the custom, so i didnt really know. i dont even think this about 2008 sets, but im not the one to talk...
commandosevy Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 (edited) Has anybody found what 7677 is yet? Or what figs 7678, 7679, 7680, 7681 have yet? I'm getting so weary of the September-December 2008 releases, well any ways I found a pic of the back of a RGS. Long live Ashika *wub* !!!!!! EDIT:the pic wouldn't post or something Edited March 8, 2008 by commandosevy

Unfortunately, the pics have stopped rolling in for a time; we'll probably see more in (hopefully)less than a month. ;-)
darkrebellion Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 I really feel is a bit late in this year and we haven't seen good pics of the sets 7678 and 7679 :-/ and any pic of the sets 7680 and 7681 |-/ .
Clonecommando007 Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 I think instead of giving us a homing spider droid that they should give us a good sized tri-droid. Because you can see the Tri-Droids in the movie previews!
