Whoever thinks that DS is a playset with 4 rooms with :vader:s Tie and :vader: with a Trash Compacter with Luke, Leia and Han etc. I think that might be it.... but it could be a Cloud City remake.....except DS.

"people are saying that 10131 is a Death Star playset with 4 rooms. 1 has Vaders tie and Vader, 1 a trash compactor with Luke and Han as Stormtroopers, the 3rd as the control room with C-3PO and R2D2, the final 1 has 2 stormtroopers and Obe-Wan in the fight scene (Vader is in his tie.)"

Info from brickset.com. This is nothing official but that would make sense :)

Such a set would cost around 150.... So we have to get 300 euros for august only for LEGO Star Wars !!!

Damn :)

The trash compactor with Luke and Han as Stormtroopers and a room with Vader, Obi-Wan and two Stormies makes sense.

But I think that the other information isn't very realistic: Do only think about how many minifigs TLG will include in a set like 10188 DS?! Surely not more than 11 even if it is 200 Euros. And there are many characters which are much more important in the DS scenes from episode 4 than R2 and C-3PO. Do only think about Princess Leia, Tarkin, DS Troopers and hopefully new officers, two. And a TIE Fighter in the set is in my opinion totally unrealisitc and idiotic, too, since it would only make the set costlier - but for no sense. I bet that there surely will be no fighter included in the set.

By the way: A black C-3PO and that black little "torture droid" would be very nice minifigs, too.

Yes, of course.

But some of the ideas could be realistic nevertheless.

It is the 50th anniversary of the LEGO Brick and just in time Fantasia Verlag GmbH will publish

the LEGO Collector. This unique guide comprises around 800 pages presenting nearly all

sets produced by the LEGO Group since 1958, whether released in Europe, the USA, Asia or

Australia.

One chapter for every year: 1958 - 2008

So we'll see a picture of the 10188 DS and the summer S@H Exclusive after the catalog will be released, won't we? (I luckily ordered this nice catalog from my local bookseller about a month ago.)

Thank you very much for that information, Steff!

End of may?! :oh: - That's very early for a SW SH Exclusive  ! But I like it when it isn't released that late in the year since we OT fans didn't get a set - excluding the Rebel Scout Speeder - this year until now.

Can you please give us a hint what it is?

Darkrebellion we were just speculating what it would be if it was a redesign. :classic:

Actually Steff said it wasn't a re-design, but it is a re-release. :classic:

So everything still makes sense, to me at least.

On another note, I'm 99.9% positive it'll be a re-release of 7666. I mean it was originaly TRU exclusive, there was and still is a very big demand for it, and all TLC would have to do is start producing them in large quantities again since it's a fairly recent set.

@Steff- Can you tell us the exact release date?

Didn't 7666 get taken off of TRU's Website

It's back up now

I could be totally off though.

Good eyes Shacala, it was indeed taken off TRU's website.

Though it still says the item is temporarily not available. Now to the waiting part of the game...

7666 re-release in May ON!

Wasn't it $50 before? Methinks it's another case of Dwarves' Mine...

TK

Actually TRU always jacks their prices up :hmpf: , and yes it was $60 at TRU the first time around too.

So, it will probably still be $50 at S@H.

OOh  Yes!!! I'll buy it! O and General Grevious is now available to buy at Lego.shopathome.com (probably old-ish news for some)

how many figs are there?

is there any wampas/taun-tauns or new vehicles?

:hmpf: umm, if you took the time to read the last few pages it says it is a re-release.not a remake.so it is exactly the same set, just coming out again.
