"Standard bring 'em in dead or alive. Serious contenders were supposed to show up at the site, no other info. Now if you're done, I'd like to try and get some more sleep. It's at least quieter here than in a Space Police cell."

"Alright, I believe you. I was going make you an offer, but if you'd rather sleep, that's fine. I am wondering, though - How much control does each head of a Tvilgard have? If I remember correctly, it was Maba who started that fight, not you - You wanted to talk. I'm just curious as to how it all works, since I'm not familiar with Tvilgard physiology. . . "

Zaria enters the baggage car, allowing Yelana to finish speaking to Abam before moving through the car and to the other end.

"Come on, Yelana, we have work to do to."

How can Zaria enter the baggage car? Yelana closed the door when she came in, and Zaria does not have key card access. 🤔

I assumed since you unlocked the door that the door would remain unlocked for Soren and I. If you want to keep the door locked, that's fine by me, you didn't specify that you did.

Ah - I assumed that the door locked automatically, which is why I specified that Yelana closed it. I get the misunderstanding, though. 👍

"Tvilgards share a empathetic link. You get used to working in tandem to a point where it comes pretty natural and you each handle certain things, ceding control when necessary. A Tvilgard could try and wrestle control back and forth, but you'd end up getting no where."

OOC: WBD, what's your ruling on the door? I'm fine if C_S wants to lock it, but I don't know if you have a differing opinion.

MM Note: I originally planned on the hacking being essentially the same as swiping the key card, unless otherwise stated as hacking the door to permanently unlock it. So in this instance unless C_S wants to retroactively state she permanently unlocked the door, I'd rule that it was still locked. Zaria can of course try to unlock it.

I am not sure what kind of check this would be (Deception, Persuasion, etc), but Yelana is trying to get Abam to claim that this entire situation was Maba's fault, and that he (Abam) was an unwilling participant (a hostage, for lack of a better term). Yelana is trying to find a way for the charges against Abam to be dropped, so that she will have something to offer him in a deal.

I edited the post in-question to specifically state that Yelana ensured that the door was locked:

Yelana sighed again, more deeply this time, then flipped her rifle over her shoulder and aimed it at Abam
"Well, that's your loss, I suppose. <Set to stun - Target Locked.>"
Yelana fired, then replaced her rifle on her back.

After checking to ensure that Abam was unconscious, Yelana searched through the luggage for any bags with roughly the same weight and size as the gauntlet that she saw in the Dwarf's briefcase, as well as for any other briefcases indiscernibly different from the Dwarf's

"Hey it's not like I'm trying to esc..."

The Tvilgard is knocked unconscious.

Yelana Perception Proficiency Check (DC 1, 3) - (6, 1, 4, 6, 2, +1) 4 Successes.

After sorting through a good deal of luggage, the agent is able to find both a small beverage cooler weighing approximately as much as the gauntlet, as well as a similar style briefcase to the one the dwarf was carrying.

"Alright!"
Yelana dropped to one knee and opened the briefcase, searching its contents for anything useful or valuable

Yelana empties the case finding only business supplies: paper, pens, an abacus, white out, a small note with a child's hand drawing saying "Have a good trip Dad!"

"An abacus? Really? Who the hell still uses those?? And white out??"
Yelana takes the supplies out of the case and slides them into the clothing-filled backpack that she had rifled through earlier. Closing the backpack, she tosses it into the storage bin on the opposite side of the car. Returning towards the front of the car, Yelana grabs the beverage cooler and places it gently into the briefcase. Closing the case, she checks the locks to ensure that they are completely secure

Yelana finds that while the briefcase has latches, Yelana does not have a key to lock it automatically.

"Hmmm. . . "
Yelana crosses the car and grabs the backpack that she had put onto the storage bin. Bringing it back over to the briefcase, she reaches into the pack and retrieves the pens

MM Note: As I think I know where you're going with this, I'm going to roll for the lock attempt.

Yelana inspects the briefcase switching on her Cloaking Device and allowing herself a little more peace of mind before trying to engage the locking mechanism with the pens.

Yelana Sleight of Hand Proficiency Check (DC 3) - (2, 6, 4, +1) 3 Successes

The agent hears a slight click as the case locks. Now knowing the mechanism Yelana is confident she can unlock the case with ease in the future if needed.

For the record, where are Zaria and Soren in all this? Just chilling in business class?

MM Note: Yes, taking into account the retroactive edit to the Baggage Car door being locked.

"<Deactivate Cloak Matrix.>"
"CLOAK MATRIX DEACTIVATED.>"
Yelana tucks the pens into a pocket on her belt, then returns the backpack to the cargo bin. As she starts back towards the now-locked briefcase, Yelana remembers what she had seen of the documents regarding the cube. Flipping the lights off, she looks around the car

The Dwarf remains asleep, no anomalous sources of light or sound out in the open presented themselves, though Yelana reasons it may be difficult to detect something of that nature if it is in a storage container.

Yelana was actually looking for signs that she might be noticed while entering the car, though I understand the confusion. I am not sure how this affects the check. 😕
