Damn it, Soren muttered, floundering in the dark. He ran his hands against the wall, searching for the light switch.

Anyone have a match or something?

Zaria kept her hand on the wall of the car to ensure she didn't get lost in the dark.

"I cannot say that I did pack a match, or a flashlight. Do you want me to come with you, Soren? If you get jumped, I would rather you have my sword at your side than your pistol if someone gets up close and personal."

Soren shrugs, allowing a wisp or cold energy to emanate from his hand.

Do as you wish. I can deal with up close and personal.

Zaria nods assuredly. "Very well then." She keeps an ear out to see if she can hear the voices and noises described by the attendant.

"Your drinks." The attendant hands out the beverages before continuing. "The chef in the dining car mentioned what sounded like grunting and at least two voices. He wanted me to investigate it as was beneath someone of his 'talent'."

"Or more likely he didn't want to walk in on something.

Zaria huffed in frustration. She did not mind being called a traveller: she technically was one, but this talking down to was a little much. She was never one to spread the good word of Varuth, but perhaps here it would help? "You did not confuse me in the slightest, Yelana. Perhaps I should explain my faith to you a little bit better. Varuth's teachings say a lot about how to treat those around us, after all, he is referred to as the Joyful Hotelier, we travel to gain and then spread wisdom. As such, he considers those in the service industry, such as waiters, chefs, and attendants to be individuals one should respect and give thanks to. It's not common for the faithful of Varuth to become the owners of such establishments, so those who work to keep travellers in good spirits while they travel should be given reverence, and not strong armed into doing something when they ask for assistance. We help them where we can, when we can, while still allowing them to do their job, as they do for us for a living. This gentleman is clearly coming to us for aid, and so, we help him." Zaria returned to Yelana with a smile. "Hopeful now you understand, yes?"

"I do now - Thank you."

"Do you mind if I ask you what your thought process is behind the pack in the top middle shelf?" Zaria asked. "I would prefer not to rummage through others luggage without permission of the attendant, personally. Seeing as how we cannot see anyone in this room, it leaves three options: they are hiding, they are invisible, or we are the only three people in here." Zaria waited for Yelana to grab the grey device on the lower shelf on the left, looking at it intently.

Zaria grabs the grey piece of luggage and finds that it is actually pink by the luggage and looks to be a child's suitcase with colorful characters on the other side.

MM Note: That's my fault, the piece you all are referring to is actually pink which is what threw me off. Also note, proficiency checks cannot be repeated unless the situation has changed.

Weren't you the one going off about the necessity of being subtle? Not sure if announcing a bomb threat for shits and giggles is our prime course of action, here.

As the others tear through packs, Soren walks over to the door on the opposite side of the room.

Where do we reckon this leads?

"Reactor room, probably. Standard layout of the train is two seating cars, a dining car, a baggage car, the reactor, and the engine - And talking to the attendant was Zaria's idea, not mineI just think if we're going that route, we'll need a cover story. Zaria furrowed her brow and looked at Yelana. "You and I both know what I meant, Yelana."

As she turned her attention back to the luggage bin, she continued to rummage momentarily before being startled by the person pushing her back as they emerge from the pile. Instinctively reaching for the handle of her khopesh, she relaxed her stance when the figured ceased to engage with her. Still on edge, she looked to Soren and Yelana, then back to the stranger as her companions began asking questions.
