What about this:

-Doing what they done in 2005 until 2011,just doing police in a 3 year cycle.

-Killing this crappy 4+ sets and just do a juniors theme.

-Adding more detail and less kiddish sets

In my opinion I wish LEGO does new subthemes or re releases of famous kinds of sets(ex:7994,8404,8401, 7633) instead of doing police subthemes over and over again, at least just releasing one or two police sets.

I did like this new wave but 4+ ruined the great vehicles line

Now THAT I can agree with. Police, Fire and Medical being on a three year rotation sounds like a wonderful idea.

Thank you for agreeing with my plan @Poodabricks!

So a few days ago I said we would probably not see a thing about early leaks for city 2022 or any other theme because of LEGO trying to hire someone to put an end on leaks, but I'm wrong because someone finally decided to leak a set (the BIG Titanic set, massive really *oh2*), we have a high chance of getting leaks very soon:moar:

Yes! That way, we would have an emergency subtheme every year.

Yooooo! I hope the school is one of those leaks.

Maybe wild outdoorzy stuff doesn't sell all that well like it did during the 2010s. That could explain why this years exploration subtheme was only limited to four sets.

Unless, they add new animal molds to that subtheme. I just want moose, fox, fawn, beaver, and a few woodland creatures!  :)

I think we need a thresher in a farming machine with a barn and maybe a 50's syle truck with 3 minifigures and animals like a horse, chickens, or cows for 100 dollars. That would be cool. I personally hope that the horse transporter comming up is a pickup truck and includes at least 2 horses for 30 dollars.

I look forward to see the horse transporter very much and I am sure it will sell a lot especially if it has more than one horse. The tractor is selling like crazy in Norway from what I can see, so I hope we are getting close to a full farm wave soon, they sure has a lot of animal mould that would fit in there now

Well, so far, LEGO is somewhat keeping up with making a set 1 year, and then expanding it to an entire theme later the next half to 1 year.

This is pure speculation but :

2018 Ski Helicopter --> 2019 (winter) snow groomer > 2019 (September) Ski Resort

2019 Diving Yacht --> 2020 Diving subtheme

2020 Stunt Team  / Monster Truck --> 2021 Stuntz

2020 Safari Off-Roader --> 2021 Safari subtheme

2021 Tractor --> 2022 (winter) Horse Transporter --> 2022 (Summer) Farm ??? (speculation)

2021 Beach ATV Rescue --> 2022 Beach Rescue station

2022 Mobile Crane --> ??? Construction ??? (speculation)

Not every single vehicle ends up as a subtheme, but this is just what happened in the past 3 years.

Currently would be a good time for Farm, with the pig, sheep, horse , cow horn in production, as well as the newer tractor tires if they want to have another tractor/harvester type set.

I hope you are right, there is definitely a pattern there! I had not thought about it before and only noticed the Safari Off-Roader as a prequel set :sweet: Maybe TLG has found out is is wise to give the kids one set so they start investing in a subtheme and wants more before they hit them with the big wave

You make a good observation!

Just not the pattern within City theme itself. But I notice City-following-Friends pattern as well.

You make a good point. I hope TeriXeri is right too!

Even tho I’m not a gambler, I would bet on Farming subtheme! I am in need for cow and goat

I wonder if it would be possible to have more than horses in Horse Trasnporter set if it’s $30?  It’s fairly cheaper to make horse molds but recoloring may be expensive.

Foal? I hope so…but there is no way to know right now. And foal mold may be a very low chance.

Makes absolute sense

Now the Lego City theme use to do remakes of 2009-2012 sets and doing city versions of modern friends sets

For example:

Ocean Rescue 2019 (Friends) -Deep Sea Exploration 2020(City)

Wildlife Rescue 2020(Friends)-Wildlife Rescue (City) 2021

I have(also) a theory about summer 2022:

Subtheme Number 1-Airport

With Lego making subthemes a year before expected , we could get airport because LEGO is always changing the cycles of an airport subtheme, if we have airport for summer, there's a high chance of sets including roadplates

Subtheme Number 2-Forest

This year we got Forest related sets for Friends , so maybe we could get a forest based subtheme with at least 3 sets, like we usually get in recent years

Subtheme Number 3-Coast Guard

And finally coast guard, as @TeriXerisaid about Lifeguard sets, we could actually have coast guard if so, I really wanted a nice headquarters and a big vessel in a separate set.

As for others I already said we could get trains and a city center D2C for summer too, so it means we should get a different motorized system for the trains as there are none powered up sets since 2019,so probably, Lego should release a control+ train and if it's going to happen get prepared to get cheaper trains as control+ sets don't include remotes

Atention this is just a theory with my own opinions and including things I do like, I really want a better airport because the 2020 passenger airplane had a really small airport and with the passenger terminal 2016 set being retired its a bit hard to get a big airport unless you buy it used and to be honest, here in Portugal, every single city airport set is hard to find/rare.

As for coast guard I want it because now I started to like vessel and boats set really much, for the people who know:I have a city display and now I've now started a harbor, a coast guard headquarters and a rescue ship are missing here and I really wanted a modern option instead of buying a set with a really small headquarters but a decent ship set (basically the 2017 headquarters) I just want everything to have a decent size

As for the D2C I'm filling my layout with a lot of shops and modern buildings, I want a grocery store and a nice hotel, also I wish a new main square type of set, so please Lego do a new set with more desirable buildings and less vehicles :angel_sing:

Is there any leaks? I haven't seen any on insta I hope we get some soon

For summer 2022 I think stuntz will return so far its selling well and from what I've seen is being received well.

I don't think a big passenger airport set is likely for 2022 since the 2020 large airplane will still be sold until December 2022, Brickset recently added dates to sets they got from some official source.

But the 4+ Airport , and Air Race sets are indeed retiring this year.

However, with the Road plates, a runway type of set could still be interesting, maybe with focus on a Cargo Airplane / Helicopter ? But if there will be some Coast Guard, I think that's more likely to have a helicopter + helipad.

A Cargo Terminal + Cargo Airplane could still be a big set, or 2 sets.

(not trying to shut down your theory, just speculating)

Going by the Friends subthemes, Forest and Horses for City would be a cool subtheme to see for City, like forest horse riding trail, and a Minifig stables, and maybe another set being a nature focused exploration set with boreal forest animals (bear/lynx/wolf etc.) , set could be a rock cliff with climbers/hikers, and a cave for animals, perhaps some minerals or cave drawing inside to explore. (but not at an industrial scale like 2018 mining)

Detailed information came out from Stonewars, and the product in the second half of 2022 is space, and the detailed information is as follows. And these products will be released in March.

LEGO 60348 Moon Rover

The LEGO City 60348 moon rover is supposed to be optically based on the real Mars test rover from NASA and, like it, drive on six freely rotating wheels. With a gripper arm and (at least) two astronauts in protective suits, nothing stands in the way of researching a new type of "rock sample"! For 275 parts , the RRP will be 29.99 euros .

  • Set number: 60348
  • Name: Moon Rover
  • Parts: 275
  • Minifigures:?
  • Price: 29.99 euros

LEGO 60349 lunar space station

The LEGO City 60349 lunar space station is supposed to be a station consisting essentially of a large module, which is equipped with solar panels, a lock for external missions "on foot" and a docking lock for the small shuttle that is also included. The 500 pieces also include several, probably 4 minifigures. For this, 59.99 euros are called.

  • Set number: 60349
  • Name: lunar space station
  • Parts: 500
  • Minifigures: 4?
  • Price: 59.99 euros

LEGO 60350 Moon Research Base

As a counterpart to the orbital space station, so to speak, LEGO will also deliver the LEGO City 60350 lunar research base with 786 parts in March . The base is made up of several modules, some of which are connected to the new gold foils as locks. In addition to several small vehicles, a landing or return module should also be included. The RRP is 99.99 euros .

  • Set number: 60350
  • Name: Moon Research Base
  • Parts: 786
  • Minifigures: 5?
  • Price: 99.99 euros

I kinda doubt about boreal forest if there would a horse-riding trail. But it would be cool to see boreal forest rather than cold barren land (Arctic).

It would cool to see “nomral” forest with new animal molds (duck, beaver, raccoon, moose, wolf, fox and more).

We already have a bear mold but i am not sure if it will need update tho. Of course we NEED a bear cub!

Yeah, could be Temperate / Mountain forest too, but what I mean, is mostly pine trees and rocks and perhaps some birch tree which stands out cause it's white bark, and also grows in mountains/northern regions.

Speaking of pine trees, I would not expect to see more strandard pine tree molds in boreal forest. Ideally, pine trees should be brick-built just like Christmas trees from Winter Village line.

And you make good point about birch trees! It would be cool to see them in Lego City one time.

Just like Ocean Exploration subtheme with some pirate stuff in it. I would hope a hidden Viking ship or treasure under snow, rather than woolly mammoth or saber-toothed tiger from the recent Article subtheme.

Thanks for the heads up @LCP!

So now we have a lot of information from several sources:

-60312 is a big white and blue car with a single minifigure and 94 pieces.

-60313-unknown

-60314-includes a similar looking car compared to 60312,also includes a ice cream van with a ice cream cone on the top and maybe a chain to attach to the supposedly included atm,4 minifigures are most likely the City Adventures TV show crew "ice, cream and truck"  and a officer.

-60315-is a big truck which trailer is a office with windows for the first time and hinged openings, also included are a small police quad and a Tuk-Tuk with a milkshake cannon on the roof.

-60316-small three-story building with a prison where there's a break out function,a helipad for the helicopter included, the other vehicles are a police car and a garbage truck (or lorry bin in the UK), there are a few minifigures and animals included.

60317-Big Two-story building where you can blow out a atm and a few parts of the walls, as for the vehicles there are 3: a van to serve as camouflage for the crook's and the police vehicles from the canceled crook's hideout set.

60318-simple set consists of a small red helicopter and a burning food stand, food vendor and fireman included

60319-Fire Rescue and Police Chase is supposed to be a speeding crook with a sports car, traffic lights and a fuse box burning, for the Fire team you have a small pickup with a drone as for the Police Team there's a motorcycle included

60320-Classic Fire Station consists of a three-story building, a garage on the side with a helipad also some burning garbage cans and a tree from which an animal must be rescued are included for further use. Vehicles included are a fire engine and a small fire helicopter.

The set is expected to bring 5 minifigures.

-60321- The set includes the burning, three-story facade of a cannery, in whose windows the flames must be extinguished with the "water jet" in the form of a spring-tensioned shooter. The vehicles include a large fire engine with trailer, a fire brigade car and a fire brigade motorcycle, as well as 6 minifigures

-60322 is a small formula 1 car (color is orange) like Promobricks said before, there are a cup and tools as accessories

-60323 is another 4+ set basically being a small jet with a single minifigure, not much to say...

60324-Mobile Crane is blue and orange, has a rotatable structure and extendable supports. For "working" a piece of road is included, as well as probably two minifigures.

60325-Cement Mixer Truck is a small 4+ truck in blue and yellow with 2 minifigures and a small construction site.

60326 Does not have any information, we just know it's a park,I think it might not include roadplates unlike the other buildings from the upcoming wave, 60327 is the same:not a single piece of information was given to

60328 sounds exciting as it's a small beach with a watch tower, a palm tree and a ice cream selling bike,a beach buggy and a jet ski. A for the minifigures there are 3 and one of which is a ice cream seller in a ice cream cone suit.

60329 is a two-story building with just a few walls to allow more playability for the kids, there is a small playground and a bus stop on the other side of the road included and a road crossing (for road safety:wink:)

60330 Hospital is supposed to be a 2 story building, basically what Promobricks said, but now we know more of the looks of the hospital that is supposed to be red, blue and white, there's a small helipad on the roof to land the helicopter included in the set (small like 60204) nothing about the interior sadly, but we are having a ambulance and I hope it is big.(Fingers crossed)

Finally we have the helicopter transporter and it's basically a red truck with a yellow helicopter with 2 minifigures meant to be driving their respective vehicles.

In my opinion the wave looks nice and I'm happy for Lego to release cheap stations, I'm most hyped to see 60315 as I'm crazy for police trucks and 60317 is a most have for me as I'm planning to recreate the canceled crook's hideout, the space subtheme sounds nice and does sound good with each set not being overpriced and including new pieces, nothing much to say about the rest, but I'm probably buying every building set as im curious to see how these new sets could combine with this year's town plan, the fire and Police team up set sounds interesting as they include accessories for the road

The Great Vehicles are not bad but they don't appeal to me just because they are 4+ mostly.

And that's all my friends can't wait to see other opinions :excited:

But I REALLY can't wait to see images, does anyone know any place where I can find images or something?

60312 is a big white and blue car with a single minifigure and 94 pieces.

ProbablProbably a Police Car

-60313-unknown

This woThis would almost certainly be the Ice Cream Bandits vs Duke Detain from the Lego City Adventures TV show. I hope so, the Ice Cream Bandit characters look great in the show and would make really distinct minifigs. I'm going to guess that either this police car, or the one in 60312 is probably Duke's "N computerized AI powered police car ala KITT from Nightrider? w Car"

-60315-is a big truck which trailer is a office with windows for the first time and hinged openings, also included are a small police quad and a Tuk-Tuk with a milkshake cannon on the roof.

Count me in for anything with a Tuk Tuk. Maybe more Ice Cream Bandits?

-60316-small three-story building with a prison where there's a break out function,a helipad for the helicopter included, the other vehicles are a police car and a garbage truck (or lorry bin in the UK), there are a few minifigures and animals included.

Maybe this years Police station, plus Shirley Keeper and her Truck>

60317-Big Two-story building where you can blow out a atm and a few parts of the walls, as for the vehicles there are 3: a van to serve as camouflage for the crook's and the police vehicles from the canceled crook's hideout set.

Probably a rework of the cancelled crooks hideout to be less Dynamite'ey? Maybe a set that will give those of us collecting the LCA characters a Tippy Doorman fig?

60318-simple set consists of a small red helicopter and a burning food stand, food vendor and fireman included

Sounds 4+, kill it with fire!!!!

60319-Fire Rescue and Police Chase is supposed to be a speeding crook with a sports car, traffic lights and a fuse box burning, for the Fire team you have a small pickup with a drone as for the Police Team there's a motorcycle included

new version "City Starter Set"?

60320-Classic Fire Station consists of a three-story building, a garage on the side with a helipad also some burning garbage cans and a tree from which an animal must be rescued are included for further use. Vehicles included are a fire engine and a small fire helicopter.

Not unexpected, but will need pictures.

A set of the Funky 47's Firefighter figs would probably be too much to hope for...

-60322 is a small formula 1 car (color is orange) like Promobricks said before, there are a cup and tools as accessories

We're overdue for a formula 1 car

-60323 is another 4+ set basically being a small jet with a single minifigure, not much to say...

60324-Mobile Crane is blue and orange, has a rotatable structure and extendable supports. For "working" a piece of road is included, as well as probably two minifigures.

I'm surprised we haven't gotten a full on Lifeguard sub theme ala Bay Watch.

60329 is a two-story building with just a few walls to allow more playability for the kids, there is a small playground and a bus stop on the other side of the road included and a road crossing (for road safety:wink:)

Hopefully the rumored School with School bus.

Lego has never gotten an ambulance right and I don't expect to start getting them correct now all of a sudden.

Finally we have the helicopter transporter and it's basically a red truck with a yellow helicopter with 2 minifigures meant to be driving their respective vehicles.

Bleah!

I'm most curious for the F1 car. Been a while since we had a City scaled version. I hope it's not a 4+ set.
I looked at the info on Promobricks, looks like 60322 is going to be a 4+ set :sceptic:

While expected, using Brickset's set dates recently added to many sets, it's pretty much confirmed to see a new City train before August 2022.

60197: Passenger Train has 31 Jul 2022 as end date
